    Just got one yesterday. It's our first one with all the bells and whistles (we've always purchased base models). Us old folks are prolly gonna spend the next 48 hours jus tryna learn all the tech. Our sales person was quite helpful with pairing our phones up and turning on options but your video is also very good.

      I traded in a 2012 SV for the 2021 Platinum, and feel like I went from the Fred Flintstone Mobile to the Jetson's Spaceship. :-) I only had 47k miles and no issues at all, but this was the time to move up. Hope you enjoy yours!!

      @@jamesk1255 I got a recall notice for a brake seal issue. Took it in for that, and had them check out a couple of electrical quirks (kept getting a oil change service due message) and the driver's side seat would not always move back when the ignition shut off (the "easy exit" feature). Other than that all good, and loving the vehicle.

    How quiet is it compared to competition? I just test-drove the Sorento and found it noisier than I would like. A quiet cabin is important for a family car (for longer road trips).

    Great channel guys, I've watched a ton of your vidz.
    I've narrowed my 2021 choices to the; Rogue, Rav4, CRV, and the CX5.
    But now I'm stuck.
    - While the CX5 has the best body, the infotainment system sucks.
    - The CRV seems like the obvious choice, but its ugly.
    - The RAV4 is a top rival, but the infotainment system sucks, and its ugly.
    - The Rogue is what I want, but I'm concerned about spending $45K on a simple vehicle, when I could get a used Lexus for the same price.
    Information constipation is what I have right now, do you have any advice?

    • @txGarage
      @txGarage  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks, glad you’re enjoying the videos.
      I think you’re on the right track. The Rogue is a good option and you might be able to find a better deal than $45k. It’s a solid vehicle if you can afford it. If not, used is the route but even a used Lexus doesn’t have the best infotainment system.

      45k? Fully loaded I paid $36,788, and net that down with tax savings on a great trade-in offset. CRV and Rav 4 will likely be all new next year, so I would wait if that's how you are leaning. My opinion only? I love the 2021 Rogue Platinum.

    Wow. Didn’t know that they Basketball 🏀 leather color came in the tan color with the Platinum model. I have the White Pearl with black roof w/tan leather Platinum model. Nooooooooo complaints at all. It rides just fine with 181 HP. We don’t drag race in it nor in a big hurry to get places. It has enough power and gets great gas mileage. CVT has been just fine; that’s why you get the extended warranty, as I did with all of my cars. It’s a great pick for the class; and yes, I test drove the CRV, RAV 4, CX5, Tiguan, QX50, etc……. Ended up clearly choosing the Rogue without any hesitation or regrets!!!! Don’t knock it until you try it….

      No one is, but it is perfectly fine for everyday driving. I'm in Chicago and it accelerates just fine merging onto expressways. And this model of the CVT is MUCH smoother than the last one I had (2012). But it honestly was fine too. Just revved oddly at times.
