How VA prevents you from getting a higher PTSD rating.

- VA PTSD ratings are tricky. VA will get a veteran to focus on issues that fall under a 30% rating-- sleep problems, flash backs and night terrors. But the bigger issues of anger, isolation, inability to maintain relationships are not thoroughly addressed.

Thanks for the info. Sucks that we have to see the V.A as the enemy.
Facts
i think this happened to me i was stuck at 30%, im gonna go in depth about on my personal and family relationships and total inability to maintain life to get this 100% today in my C&P increase ty!!!
@@maverikregime9888update? Did you he tit
Solid advice, thanks for sharing.
Your the best lawyer when it comes to dealing with the VA. You folks at Hill & Ponton set the bar. Thanks for all that you do for us👌🏻
Listen to this man they literally did this exact same thing to me today in real time…………. And I had to shift the conversation so we could focus on the exact things he just mentioned
what was your rating?
This is SO TRUE!!! TOOK 3 times at C&P exams to get it right.
Thanks to you all I was successful with doing my own claims. Can't thank you enough!
It is amazing for me as an old war protester how they professionaly handled my 30 years fed service.
my C&P exam lasted, im not even kidding, 7 minutes to include verification of personal data. "not the best not the worst, 30%" is exactly what the examiner said. Like you said he only asked questions about nightmares, and thinking I would have a chance to get a word in at the end I just answered his questions and then boom interview over. Now looking for a lawyer.
Thank you for caring for veterans
I got lucky & got 70% for my PTSD because of those exact other things you mentioned!!!
Any tips I just got granted for ptsd
Go back… fight it and get 100.
Very true I didn't get questioned I got irritated and he just kinda shocking his head up and down and said ok good to go.
@@josephvadderI understand where the “go get 100” comes from a good place but sometimes not every veteran needs that I have 70% and I think it’s fair for what I deal with personally. Someone who has lost limbs or been in combat should get 100% in my opinion
@ShotByMoo then you're limiting yourself. You don't have to be missing limbs to get 100% even then missing a appendage isn't a automatic 100%. Don't despair others for wanting to keep pushing for higher ratings it's toxic and dumb.
True. That happened to me. 30% I appealed and now waiting for their decision. 4 CnP evals for PTSD.
i got 50% ptsd and it shows in my everyday life i hate it. its embarrassing
I got 70% but that was because I told them I pulled a knife on my father. Shit is bad man I hate having it so much but all we can do is try to be better and let your mind heal. Thank you for serving man.
You two deserve 100%. Keep fighting the good fight we need you guys
I am so sorry you have to go through that. Thanks for your service
Filing for an increase and informing them that you have thoughts of “un-aliving yourself” will bump you to 70%.
Thank you for your service.
They only gave me 30%
You are correct …..
Meeting with my Claims Rep tomorrow…
Gonna try and submit for mental health / anxiety
I got denied for PTSD...the examiner would try to lead me into family life before the military...asking if there was corporal punishment...yelling, physical abuse, sexual abuse...Every time I directed the interview to my experiences in the military...they would basically shut down and then ask about my highschool experience...trying to keep the conversation about PRE-military life. I finally got pissed and told them I had a pretty average non-abusive family life..i never got raped in highschool and why weren't they asking me about the combat experiences and body maiming accidents...the hazing , the ostracization in the military. They said they had enough information...i had to appeal it and got an honest rater and got 70% without any new info presented
THE rating criteria is crystal clear in the VASRD.
If vet doesn't at least READ the criteria for the exam, then ots totally on them for not being prepared.
They gave me ptsd but didn’t make it service-connected smh BUT the federal law judge took that, took the VA making me a drug addict and treating my addiction, as well as my other issues that have me at 80%, and gave me TDIU P&T effective 2008 so I’m not resetting that clock and tryin to get things increased or made service-connected because I want to hit that 20yr mark. Appreciate all y’all do to help my fellow vets! I didn’t know if y’all when I hired my attorney back in 06, but had I then I’d have gone with y’all. Back then only a handful of attorneys handled VA claims. Now I’m attempting to get my social security disability 🤦♂️
Thankful to your team for referring me to Bosley & Bratch. Was able to get what I deserve finally and start focusing on rebuilding my life.
Hill and Ponton nationwide is who is doing this video not bosley n bratch...its Hill and Ponton dont hijack his video with your ad
How do I get a hold of either of these?
CZcams WON'T ALLOW ME TO COMMENT. AS SOON AS I COMMENT SOMETHING. I COME BACK AND ITS GONE
Great information.
You have a line of customers and clients
I am getting my testing tomirrow, found this video at the most perfect time. I do have problems with most of the other issues you mentioned. Thank you!!❤
Good luck to you!
@@Mr405DJ thank you so much!!
how it go??@@shelby6066
So true, after talking about my childhood for 3 minutes we talked and my nightmares for the rest of the time pretty much. 30%
Wow thank you for this information! I'm filing s claim soon and I want to be ready!
That's why my psychologist asks...
Now I know...
Thank you for the advice! Cheers!
🤠🤠
God bless you, sir.
He's absolutely right!
Hill and Ponton was my representation with my VA appeal and claims sense 2017.
Lack of communication
Constant lawyer changes
Illegal fees charged to veterens
I recommend trying other resources . She comes off as nice but her office is incompetent.
70% rated for PTSD
I qualified for PTSD treatment. I have not been allowed to receive it. I was recently raped and now have kidney symptoms after I had all of the symptoks of hydroenphrosis. But the ultrasound tech knowingly lied. It seems they wanted to cover-up even though I had no intention of reporting the SA to law enforcement. It is hortific how I have been treated by medical care. Some MDs and especially my dentist have been wonderful. I am a pioneer eoman West Point grad. People have noticed how my body & life has been trashed. I don't understand this insahe world.
This is True.
I cry every night I sleep about a few hours a week I often go days without sleep. I have 1 friend that I can call and my wife left me because I'm a broken looser I can't hold a job I get upset really easy I scream at people over little things that effect me in any precieved negative way even if it's something I imagine that will happen in the future. I don't do anything my dad's been taking care of me but I'm not getting any better in fact I'm starting to give up I don't even work anymore. I'm done I'm a bum that temporary has a place to live off the streets. I literally can't even turn on my tv. I can get really upset over something on tv I need to only watch comedy or I'll flip. But yeah there's nothing anyone can or will do.
Where are you located
I'm 100 for just PTSD. Didn't know they capped it at 30.
I'm 100 for ptsd also
How u get that ?
@@stevenbucher3341wow
Advice?
@roccodavidson58, so many factors play into it. There are many organizations that will help you out for free
Omg. So true. I got 30% insomnia connected to tinitus. But I got played in the c&p. I’m happy to have gotten 30% but 50 or 70% would have been better. I hate people, get angry easy and miss work. I down played that stuff.
How'd you get it connected to your Tinnitus? I got it super bad and Tinnitus connected
My Service connected Tinnitus just keeps going, Wakes me up at night, the "ALARM" just keeps ringing in my ear..results in INSOMNIA!@@thepumpchumppp
I didn’t know that.
Thnk you
I’m 100% ptsd. Purple Heart shot in face by sniper
Very fortunate to get 70% Ptsd, from 50%.
I focused on that and still got capped at 30 I’m so frustrated and tired of waiting around for them
what sort of stressor did they accept if you don't mind me asking
In my last mental health C&P exam I brought up all these issues including SI. They came back, left it at 30% and said I showed improvement and could be reduced if I had another exam.
keep fighting, that sounds like they playing dirty per usual
I'm a non-combatant Navy veteran stuck at 30%, even though I've been exposed to AFFF and a thyroid cancer survivor.
Only getting 10% for the thyroid cancer.
What if I have all
Of the above?
I mean - its part of the questionnaire right? Part of the clinical symptom list
How do you get a different rating on PTSD if you all ready are rated at 30 percent
file for an increase
No lies detected!
So should I try and get my ptsd rating up or should I try for tbi..? My ptsd rating right now is only 10%….I don’t think that’s right
They got me i got 30
Me too 30% C&P Exam.
Police Reports, Volunteered Hospitalizations, YOUR SECURED VA MESSAGES to your Primary Care, and ESPECIALLY FROM MENTAL HEALTH. And Don’t hold back your thoughts, because Exams will Not Side with you regardless if they Write down what ever you say. You have to Fight your Fight and Push your Increase claim across to their Field, then the process has to be Forced from your SYMPTOMS.
Until the full picture comes into focus and they use all of that against you. No offense to you in any way but I have seen it and I predict its going to get astronomically worse.
I had my c&p exam today for my mental health. The Dr. was easy going and he did all the talking. He didn't ask me about my time prior to service, during service or after service. He didn't talk about anything? He said I agree with you having PTSD and said he will put in the remarks that I need "intensive inpatient treatment for my PTSD" I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Does anyone know if a MH C&P is different from a HLR MH Informal Conference as they are both doctors, not raters.
I currently have a 30% disability rating for generalized anxiety and panic disorder. Should I just make a appointment with the VA and explain my situation? How should I prepare myself for the exam?
smc-t and a&A. help me someone. I am 70% tbi and 100%+ va (80% crsc). can I get smc while still receiving a state retirement pension? the amount is above the a&a
it appears.
n p ptsd exam telehealth with ves. A week later va schedules in person c n p ptsd exam in person optum. Is this normal or they didn't get the negative opinion they were looking for on 1st exam so they gonna do it again. What's going on here.
yeah, kid's., let's talk Bout shaking the life out of the greeter at Walmart
😊
Not positive, but I think if you did not participate directly in combat, 50% is going to be the maximum payout for PTSD. Most people I know get 70% for it, but they were really in war for real.
it's about how you react to your stressor. just tell the examiner the truth about what's going on
We really need to have a critical documentary that explores the V.A. issue with the hundreds of thousands of suspicious PTSD claims that are clogging the system. By one estimate over 70% of (awarded) PTSD claims (that result in disability benefits, etc.) are made by people who did not serve in a combat role. Sebastian Junger did a lot of research on this. Truck drivers, logistics officers, petroleum technicians and others who may have worked on forwards bases but never stepped outside “the wire” are claiming PTSD and collecting hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits as well as receiving support from veterans charities.
Only 10% of the US armed forces serve in a combat role, and the % of claimed PTSD cases far outstrips the number of actual soldiers who fired a gun and stood in harms way. Why is this important? The false PTSD claims mean that the veterans that really need help often do not get it, or they get less than what they should. Either due to jealousy, an inferiority complex or just plain opportunism, some veterans are gaming the system.
oh yeah? You go live several months in a goddamn place where mortars are being lobbed overhead and gun fire is constant and wondering when you could die every night and then say that. f off
You do know you don’t need to be shot up to have ptsd right?
Thanku!!!
Fuckyeahhhhh #69 🥳🥳🥳🥳
The VA is F-en veterans? Say it's not so. ;+( I channeled Combat Craig and took down 70% MDD God I hated that C&P had bad tremors and a half a panic attack. Not fun.
