Things you should know about not mentioned in the video:
Know that transition metals require a number for instance CuSO4 would be copper 2 sulfate. Make sure you know what a pure compound is and a pure substance. Also make sure to know what dipoles are and if you have say 10g of C2H4 make sure you can figure out how many moles or grams you have of say carbon or hydrogen. Don't forget about sig figs and how to name acids. ate - ick, ite - ous. Make sure to remember how to identify aqueous solutions and solid solutions. There's videos to remember such as NAG SAG. There's also acronyms to remember strong acids and know that all strong bases have OH in their formula.
Got links to these videos, kind sir? This is the stuff that people don't spend much time on, but are always on the exams.
Damn, thanks !!

@@claudiat.2662 hi
Thank you so much! This should seriously help with my final tomorrow!!! I don't know if you are employed as a teacher, but you should be. You explain things really well--that is a quality that most teachers don't really have. They all just spit out info and tell their students to study. They work out practice problems without explaining them, it is pretty rough out there. Keep up the good work dude!
Thanks
How did you do in the test?
Yes, better than a lot of teachers, and better than almost all profs. But I guess I'll find out how much these videos will help me tomorrow on my final :P
He teaches better than my chem professor for sure!
@@TheOrganicChemistryTutor What did you study in college,
Whyyyy does it look so easy when he does it but when I get my exam I freeze up and don't know how to do it?
Sally May you need more practice to solidify concepts
You never worked through the problem yourself so you never figured out how to apply the concepts/math to the problems.
Just breathe when your taking your exam. Research shows anxiety plays a big role in your performance.
Buy a white board and pause the video and explain to an invisible class the same thing he said using your white board... if you fail, that means you didn't really learn, so you have to watch it again. Repeat!! That works for me.
@@MsDead-io4ik YOU! That is actually a great strategy! I need to try that

thank you so much for putting in the time and dedication to make these amazing videos!!! my gen chem final is in a few days and your videos being there throughout the semester has helped me understand and enjoy chemistry more
For those wondering at 8, why he simply added 1 and 2 to them. It's because the concentration we are looking for is actually the concentration of H+ ions in the solution, but since there are two moles of H in the molecule we have to add that 2, on the other side since it's a base we have the OH- concentration, however since there is only on mole of OH, the coefficient in front of the m1v1 is well 1. Hope it makes sense, and that I am not mistaken hahaha.
For all of us taking it in 2019 and then probably taking Chem 2 next semester. I wish y’all good luck
