@@pranavinissan In June 2019 or something. I only found out the other week or so, the last I heard of him was that he was writing something new, I'd only found out when I noticed the past tense in his Wikipedia article
Just finished "The Angel's Game". I can't wait to start "The Prisoner of Heaven" so I get more of Fermin. I read "The Shadow of the Wind" twice and he has remained my favourite character by Zafon.
Ang Jinghui : Totally with you on this. Getting toward the end of "Shadow of the Wind" and absolutely love Fermin and miss his presence. Will have to get "The Prisoner of Heaven" to return to Fermin.
I have finished the complete saga all the four books and... it is hard to choose one but "The Angel´s Game" with David Martin and the last one "The Labyrinth Of The Spirits" with Alicia Gris was OMG! I have a complete love to the other two with Daniel Sempere, Fermín Romero de Torres, Julian Carax, Bea, Isabella, Valls and many others but those two favorites one gave me sensational emotions. At the end all four books is a masterpiece that anyone must read, the principal essence of this story is the love for the books. Thank you very much CRZ.
I just started reading it, after reading the Shadow of the Wind a couple years ago… now I’m more excited, because we need more “feel-bad stories”! (At least, I _want_ more of them lol)
I read the swedish edition. I have never in my life read such an phenomenal and extraordinary book as Shadow of the wind and I will never find a better one either. That book literally took my life and my heart. I will carry it as Daniel Sempere did with his Shadow of the wind which was written by his secret friend Julian Carax.
I've only read "The Shadow of the Wind" and was fascinated with the novel. To say the least. I haven't read any other books by him. Any recommendations?
Marina is a nice story if you'd like to treat yourself to something a tiny bit less mature but still artistically dark, yet Shadow of the Wind is my favourite so far.
DARKER than Shadow of the Wind???? Good god, SotW scarred my psyche and now your your telling me that's feel go story compared to The Angel's Game??? ... I'M. SO. EXCITED!
ad.Angel's Game - a little complicated action but it's good because the reader can interpret it as he want. I hate the fact, that Isabella died! That was not necessary! As i said, I love David. My God if I love the book-character...it means that this book was good. Really good. ad.Shadow of the wind - action is calm but interesting. I really wanted to know, how it ends. Julian Carax was very mysterious and I respect him ;) Both books are easy written and I've read them both really fast.
I like zafon but have to add a note of dissent, what about the women? Do they just become mothers is that it? Isabella such a lovely person so all she does is become Daniels mum , really?
Shadow of the wind - less action, the main character is cheesy teenager, I also didn't like his corny girlfriend and his stupid friend. Everything is more passiv and not many things we can experience. No thrill, no goosebumps. To much talking. But Julian Carax I liked a lot! The Angel's game - more action and David...awesome character! His personality and behaviour make me wanna be his girlfriend!Cristina, you lucky girl.I also love Isabella and their relationship. They also could be together!
This man is the world's greatest living novelist! Hands down. The Shadow of the Wind is a true masterpiece!
So sad he's gone from us. Shadow of the wind is my favorite book of all time.
RIP Carlos 😭😭
Such a big loss 💔💔
What.???
What? He died??!!

Fermin is a jewel.

I really love the second one but I don’t really like the kind of redcon of Fermin in the third book. It feels so off and non fitting 🤷♂️
amazing amazing amazing author, just fell in love of Angel's game , loooooove it !
I want to learn Spanish just so I can read Zafon's books in their original version.

Que bien habla ingles, aparte de ser un gran escritor. Gracias por contar la vida de Julian Carax
I can't wait for his next!
Angel's game was awesome. It's definitely different then the shadow of the wind as he explains in the interview.

Tell me, was I the only one that wanted David and Isabella to live happy together forever? 😭🥺
Que raro es escuchar a Zafon si su tono de voz tan nasal que tiene cuando habla en español
