- It's been a long day without you, my friend and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. Which is to say that we've come to the end of this part of our journey through the Fast Saga, wrapping things up with Furious 7. Delayed a year to be rewritten around the tragedy surrounding Paul Walker some would argue this was the last time the franchise was truly great. Which might be true, it's hard to know a lot of these blur together. Anyways, thanks for watching these videos and in particular this Caravan Of Garbage review

One of the funniest news reports I've seen, was about Vin diesel having trouble parking his car. I haven't been able to take him serious since.
Hate to break it to you, but not only is he not a skilled stunt driver, he also isn’t an undercover NSA agent
You took him seriously before?
@@joelfernandez536 Honestly, yes. He was "that one guy" from saving private Ryan before he seemingly forgot how to act in the following decades.
@@treesoul00 czcams.com/video/84Y0tlWp89E/video.html
@@JNFattorini he got too full of himself after he got super famous, he just thinks he's incredible
One of the saddest tidbits about this movie is that Jordana Brewster (Mia's actress) recorded her phone call with Brian after Paul's passing... she literally tells a friend of over 10 years to come home safely because his family is waiting, while knowing he's never coming back in real life
I always thought she was one of the more solid actresses in the film, buyt she never did much outside of this series.
@@jonbaxter2254 I always thought it was because of her unnerving and striking resemblance to Demi Moore. She is a good actress, but nothing necessarily standout. In this franchise she’s kind of just there and works better alongside Brian, which is why I don’t think she had a place in it after Paul’s passing. My favorite movie of hers is actually D.E.B.S. It’s campy as fuck, but it’s fun, she was great in it.
@@tefweebz she made enough money I guess you don't really need to do anything else.
I enjoyed her as the therapist in the lethal weapon show.
I always remember first seeing her in that movie with Usher and Josh Hartnet from the late 90s. It was a horror movie made for teens, can’t remember the name though
Eddie Hall passed out with blood coming from his nose and couldn't see for days after his 500kg deadlift. Vin Diesel lifts a car more than twice the weight and didn't break a sweat. Classic.
Because that car was family, and he'd do anything for family.
The car is rear engined and rear wheel drive so it's probably more like 250kg of force to lift the front
@@FrankFurther It's probably about a 45/55% weight distribution front to back, since that's what rear engined replicas tend to be. Meaning he's probably lifting about 600kg
Remember, in the F&F verse, Bryan's basically a stay at home Dad, while his wife Mia goes from being sort of useless in most of the movies to suddenly getting a retcon badass upgrade in Fast 9 that could give Cream in Sonic X a run for it's money.
I was thinking that same thing! Talk about husband of the year letting the mother of your children go on a death defying international "mission" after said husband retired from doing exactly that. Not to mention a second brother that was never mentioned.
@@Gunnumn I find it more funny and fitting of the series, actually. XD
tf you talking about / she had do adapt, besides you can LEARN how to fight right ?
@@mesousagaby740 and thats it, sometimes having a franchise filled with holes like swiss cheese, works out.
Words can't describe the joy that the Rodney sequence brings me. Truly a treasure of the new age.
I really thought by now it would have gotten old, but somehow it keeps going from strength to strength.
Same but then for Blue Harvest
it'll never be topped, we're stuck with it forever
When did it begin? I notice it isn't in older videos
@@bangitybangbabang It's a relatively recent addition, from the Man-Thing episode.
The "family" in the films branched out from the brotherhood of Dom and Brian. With Paul Walker's death, the films are way to Dom centric and that hurts them.
That duo was awesome
Hot take, but it should have been Vin.
@@jesusmenendez7091That's not a hot take, that's just a fucked up thing to say. We're talking about real people's lives here, Paul Walker the actor died, Vin Diesel didn't deserve to die in his place just because his silly movies got a little worse because of it.
@@jesusmenendez7091 the fuck is wrong with you wishing death on someone 😒
@@jesusmenendez7091 Wild you somehow got someone to like your comment
He almost got me with the blue harvest one this time because the beginning sounded like a real fact but as soon as i hear the word harvest I'm like a pavlovian dog knowing that dinner is on the way and my dinner is the sweet satisfaction of knowing that the original woking title for Star Wars was Blue Harvest.
Sometimes I don't see it coming, and when the punchline hits I need to pause the video and rethink my life.
The second we catch the first syllable of the word harvest we all perk up and look at the screen waiting for the full delivery of the comedic masterpiece that is the blue harvest trivia!
So happy this is dead lol
I have great respect for Maso's unbending minigun principles.
So do I!😂
It’s not even his character thing at this point.
Having the minigun turn a row of people into soup is the unattainable ideal.
Djimon Hounsou is criminally underrated, I agree. He's great in anything that he does and doesn't get enough credit. Im still baffled as to how he hasn't lead his own movie yet, I always seen him as a side character.
With a badass name like Djimon Hounsou you would think he'd get a leading role.
DC has a version of the African Spider God Anasi as a superhero, I would love for him play that character. He also seems to be the one who gave animal powers to both Vixen and Animal Man, so there's a movie right there.
If Majors is out at Marvel, they could do worse than repurposing him into Kang. Could even do a hand-wave of his prior appearance being one of Kang's variants or whatever.
I think he s one of the leads in Rebel Moon
@@illbeback4057 I'm really looking forward to Rebel Moon
@@thescottishaccentMost insane shit I've ever heard. You need to go outside.
I will always remember him from deep rising "MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY' AHHHHHHHHHH.
If you’re a car guy and your nemesis is a bus guy, does that explain why Shang Chi (valet jockey) had his first fight scene on a bus?
Razor Fist
Precisely!
"I think, I think this is a good one."
James has said this for like, all of them. Confirmed, he's a fellow Fast fan. Let's go!
I am continually impressed by the inclusion of the Rodney bit. It engages me
The car pulling the kids playground is hilarious
I love how they dealt with the passing of Paul Walker in such a dignified way in with this movie.
A special thanks to Ben and/or Laurence for having the 'women rubbing butts' shot three times there. I decided to watch this at work and now I might be the new office creep. Thank you! I always wanted to stand out.
Hell Yeah! Always got to stand out for something!
@@TheRandomSandwiches that’s how they know you’re CEO material in the corporate world. I think.
I’m concerned at how much I laugh at Blue Harvest still😭😂😂
Bro its so good 😂
Every. Single. Damn. Time.
Dom straight arm catching an engine on a pulley in Fast and Furious was more fantastical than him lifting the front end of that car to me.
I agree.
He's probably catching about 200kg there with one arm. Pretty impressive
@@hails2991 completely outstretched arm. And he holds it there, dropping it and grabbing it precisely above a guys head. That's some Captain America shit.
I always loved how Sean went from looking 24 to 44 in one cut. I was happy they brought him back but too little too late i suppose.
And yet he's supposed to be 17 or 18 😂
@user-ht5ce2it3z yeah he's still meant to be the same age he was in Tokyo drift 😂😂😂
@@jamesthornton3539 its even weirder when you watch F9. To be fair he looks great for his age, but he's supposed to be in high school wtf.
@@Gunnumn He was 17 in Tokyo Drift/F7 (2013) but F9 is set in 2019/2020 so he's out of high school when he shows up in F9.
"mason is wrong he got one"
Ben and Lawrence your editing is on point as always, I especially love sneaking in Vin Diesel yelling into the rodney bit
It's the little things in the edit that make these videos so great. Like getting footage of a hot air balloon nearly landing on a highway. I have no idea what Ben and Laurence had to look up or how long it took them to find it but thank you so much for every second of footage and sound you've put into this
Those guys are as criminally underrated as Djimon Hounsou.
the triple take i did on “race wars” oh my god
Djimon stealing a lick of Jason’s ice cream is some of the best FX editing ever!
I'd remove all reservations and modesty and say I honestly think they did a perfect job with the Paul Walker situation in this movie. Absolutely perfect.
alright so at around 12:20 they are talking about flying cars, whoever spliced in the kid throwing the car is a fucking genius. There is no better clip they could have shown for that. Hats off to the editor.
Ben and Laurence are on it!
“You’re welcome, America!” and “I used to be a teacher, I get it!” had me in tears. I’m a teacher so it was very relatable lmao
this is the first one i've ever seen in this series, and to be immediately met with "RACE WARS"
it sent me into an incredible laughing fit
It's from the first movie.
@@ThreadBomb that doesn't change how honest to god hilarious it is
It was actually going to be the title of the movies until a smart person showed up and changed it.
I'M SO EXCITED FOR NEXT WEEK! I literally got goosebumps the moment I heard the song!
I started tearing up a little bit 😢
I got the touch-ing myself in anticipation...
I’m still in shock. Gonna get Big Sandwich so I can hear it early!
i love how they keep saying that the next one is gonna suck then they end up saying 'nah it's one of the good ones'
You know who only lifted part of a vehicle with a bit of purchase? Mr. Furious from Mystery Men, the movie you need to cover for Caravan of Garbage. It is the single most important superhero movie there is
This was the first one I saw, then I watched backwards until 5, then jumped forward out of 'might as well at this point' mood and went chronologically from there. I don't know how, but I've still enjoyed all of them at least a little, and definitely enough to keep watching
13:23 i couldnt tell you how hard i laughed in theaters when this happened, even more so because of the serious memorial tone of the movie
James unable to get through his blue harvest joke without giggling is the best birthday present ever
You guys are creating the best crew for Fast X. All of their greatest enemies uniting to get back at Dom or they respect all the times they embarrass them and help him
Let it be known this video was called 'Furious and Furious 7' before they fixed it
Edit: The title has not yet been changed and I feel I may have embarrased myself on the internet yet again.
Edited Edit: They have finally changed it, I am vindicted in the end and will retire from the internet forever a righteous man.
Now it's Furious & Furious 7. Unless they fixed it again?
@@ultimamage3 I forgot to type a squiggly and symbol so now i've confused you sorry, hopefully you don't come back in fast and furious 11 to get revenge on me for confusing you on the internet.
But it's still Furious and Furious 7
I love that Kurt Russell pulls out a Corona branded bucket of Corona bottles. Because everyone has their beer in specifically branded buckets
Jason Stratham saying DONG makes me think of Joesph Gordon Levitt’s cameo in Glass Onion
This one has the most infuriating title. Because it's supposed to invoke The Magnificent Seven, but they didn't call it THE Furious 7.
I sure hope someone got fired for that blunder.
Someone described this franchise as a Shonen Anime due to the way the fight sequences the main characters have play out and they're absolutely right. Theres no way to have a clear winner or loser cause it's in their contracts that they can't straight up lose a fight
Except that in shonen main characters actually do lose fights and take damage. They just come back stronger. In Fast 7 every body is a superhero. Even if they aren't known to be great fighters.
It's like a shonen crossover special where everyone fighting is too much of a big name in their own franchises to be seen straight up losing to the others so they just showcase their powers in front of each other and end in a multiple-way stare down
"I'm sick of funerals" to me was a 4th wall break, he's probably with a cgi paul next to him
It was the real Paul
I can't believe James & Maso have not lost their minds watching these movies
After you do like four Transformers back to back I don’t think much can break you anymore.
@@SunnyGoesIn1D add the twilight saga to that. really fortifies your mind
@@moonmunch4444 yeah these might even seem like great movies after that
This video reignited my passion for James and Maso talking about Entourage
The subtle editing of the ending of the Rodney segment over time has been pure bliss
I had only seen the original Fast movie years before, then Paul Walker died about 10 minutes from my house (which I quickly rushed over to see along with 3,000 other people). My dad had worked on Pleasantville that Walker was in and noted that he was always a really nice guy to everyone so I decided to watch Fast 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 in the months leading up to 7. Was a nice send off to a nice dude.
I love how “Mr Nobody” now has a better name in “Mr Sunglasses”😂😂
This is my favorite movie out of the franchise. The Dom and Brian scene at the end gets me right in the heart.
Im waiting for the caravan of garbage where we get "blue trivia" that leads into a "Green Harvest" joke where both jokes will inevitably go over Mason's head until James' shit eating grin and laughter will give it away
The bit where the rock has a massive broken arm, the whole thing in a cast, but when he needs to he just flexes out of the cast. You're arm is broke man, what are you doing?
I'm so excited for them to be talking about The Transformers movie next week, as it's my all-time favourite film; knowing full well that they are very likely to completely rip it to pieces before my eyes. It will be worth it nonetheless!
Agreed :D
Gotta hand it to Paul Walker, dying in a car crash is crazy dedication to a role.
Shouldn't have laughed at this 😂
I wasn't prepared for the moment at 20:01. Seriously, I spat my drink out. Thank you Ben & Laurence.
Thank you, Mr. Sundayglasses
‘Flew Harvest’ got me so damn good. Bravo.
Your voices both lull me to sleep at night and help me to wake up when starting my day.
I laughed way too hard at "It's got its own apple?"
20:48 It is! They got Joe Taslim (The Raid, The Night Comes For Us) for Fast 6 so it makes sense they’d get someone like Tony Jaa for Fast 7.
I've never watched any Fast film since the 2nd and I probably never will so thanks for these as far better to watch you guys have some fun with them for half hour rather than watch them for 2 hours lol
In Japan, the film is called "Wild Speed: Sky Mission" because of the scene where the cars fall out of the blue daytime sky (featured heavily in the trailers leading up to the film's release), however the fact that anyone would drop cars from the sky during the day led to the script being referred to as "Blue Harvest".

I think the way they handled Paul Walker's death is my favourite example of working an actor's death into a piece of media. It felt like a fitting send-off and not like they were weirdly working in a real-world death into the plot in an awkward, uncomfortable way. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Power Rangers: One & Always made me uncomfortable with how they did it. BP2 weirdly, *weirdly* made the circumstances around T'Challa's death close to Chadwick Boseman's, while Power Rangers fridged a dead woman's character from a children's show.
Not sure I really agree with Wakanda Forever there.
What I loved about the send-off for Paul is that during those scenes whenever they used archive footage either through alternative tales/bloopers or ripped a new scene from Fast Five, they did a lot of thought on matching those scenes with the light they were going to use on the day of shooting, like the plane talk with Brian & Dom. And to this day, I still tear up at his send-off, despite the fact that there’s a bit of “uncanny valley” in some of that ending.
@@racool911 That's fair, it's a super subjective thing. But I just felt it was weird to have T'Challa die from an "unnamed illness" that could've been cured if Shuri was able to synthesise the Heart-Shaped Herb. With how closely they associate T'Challa's death with Chadwick Boseman's, it just felt off to be like "oh, but if Shuri had done this it could've been avoided". It's tying in a very tragic, real life death with a magical superhero solution. All so they can put Shuri on a path of grieving so she can eventually replace T'Challa within the franchise, complete with quoting his dialogue verbatim.
I can appreciate Wakanda Forever for helping the cast and crew process Boseman's death, but it was just uncomfortable for me to watch, and not in a good way like Blue is the Warmest Colour or something. When Shuri quoted his dialogue from Civil War, it was meant to be touching; but I felt it was gross.
I hated how none of the avengers showed up to the funeral
How did they explain the Power Rangers one?
That Guy Who Shouts Rodney still fills me with life
I want just to tell you guys I genuinely cherish you, you are one of the things, which mends my mind into the oblivion of enjoyment, thanks to all involved 🤘🏽
The day Rodney don’t show up is the day I’m out the door, ya hear me
Goddamn it, you guys never miss. 1.34M subscribers is decent...but for the love of Maso's beard, how don't you have five times that amount by now?!
The guys should do an Antoine Fuqua film quadrilogy or something... I watched Shooter (Marky Mark) again the other day and didn't realise he directed.

Love your videos.
To properly deepfake Paul Walker’s face in 2015, the team had to use a revolutionary new technique. They used the technology of blue screens, but without the screens they just called it “Blue.” Then they had to extract old footage of Walker, a process known as a “Harvest.” This led to the working title of the film being “Blue Harvest,” WHICH ACTUALLY WAS THE WORKING TITLE FOR THE ORIGINAL STAR WARS
The Paul cgi is so damn good, even compared to more recent examples. I didn't realise but yea you pointed out it could just the time and bloody effort they put in compared to later Disney examples.
i think its high time for another Entourage episode
When this movie came out I saw people posting tributes to paul walker on facebook and I legitimately didn’t know paul walker was a real person. I thought people were making these emotional tributes for a fictional character.
Last year I tore my bicep in the gym, after a quick surgery and painful recovery in a plastic harness for a few months, posting The Rock saying "Daddy's Got To Go To Work" before flexing off his cast, on the day I got out of my brace, was incredibly cathartic.
The Overcooked music around the 21:30 marked hit me with a wave of ptsd
The “Lets ride” song is like, a super iconic Biggie song.
oh hell yeah Ive been waiting for you to do that transformers movie since the Michael Bay films
I think the fast and furious franchise has unapologetically morphed into a live action anime series.
The moment Tony Jaa died in this movie is when I gave up on the franchise.
I appreciate the ingenious use of Green Trivia to reference the appearance of the Hulk TV show
You've probably already talked about one if not both comic titles but I'd love for you to Caravan of Garbage The Last Ronin and Keanu Reeves Berserk. Or MFKZ the animated movie based on the MFKZ comics. I love your content, your videos, etc. You both ask the true questions, "do you have to have a permit for a race war?"😂😂 the comedy whether intentional or not is always amazing and the editing is always flawless and seamless and expertly done.
This was about the time the series started to loose me. It was still ridiculously fun, but the cracks were starting to show and just got worse in the later ones, which seemed to get a bit less fun each time. A fitting send off for Paul though, to go out on the biggest one in the franchise to that point.
"just one more funeral.... his" - I did like that line from Brian. I real good role model father, a stonewall killer.
Glad this review covered the important things in the movie, like which members of the Entourage cast would Ronda Rousey most likely date.

When Roman grabs the mic from T-Pain in Dubai...the guy with the mixer and turntables...HE WOULD HAVE JUST MUTED THE MIC AND PUT THE MUSIC BACK ON.
11:53. Man that Black woman is gorgeous. To make her brilliant hacker is one thing but still react to these crazy and ridiculous situations with real human emotions is a plus.
The fact that this series is going past number 10 fascinates me. I'm still invested but.. damn.
I knew that this was a movie when Paul Walker fought Tony Jaa and didn't immediately get turned into mince meat. That really solidified that this was a movie to me.
There better be clips of Dirk Diggler signing “The Touch” in the video next week.
