today i am uploading this high neck/cowl neck crochet poncho of all sizes. you require only one measurement to start this poncho. for the adult size poncho i used 5 mm crochet hook. i made my poncho earlier and on camera i am making another in smaller size so that you will get a clear idea about it. smaller one i am making with 4 mm crochet hook.

@@Sanchitacraftshop I have a doubt here, I started making this poncho, but the shape is not coming as you showed. Followed the same process, but in between, it is getting folded. Is it because my stitches are a little tight? Also, the side panels are going upwards...not coming downwards :(
The corners are also seems to be okay....but when i look for the shape, it is little weird :(

@@shubha0910 i can understand what u r feeling. but how can i help u. yes ur stitches should b loose. if it will be tight then its free flow pattern will not be achieved. but since this piece has only two corner ( increasing points) so as u increase rows it should go down. it should not fold... i am really feeling sad about your project.

Mam aap ke wool ke total kitne gole lage hai bachi ka banana me any single color if you have any idea
Ur total bata nahi sakti kyun ki kuch mere paas already tha, kuch maine lache wala un kharida. Waise sweater banane me jitna un lagta hai. Uska double hi lag jayega. Tassels ke liye fhi ur 100 gm lagega.

Aisa to hona nahi chahiye mam. Jarur apka kuch galat ho raha hai. Kyun ki mere dono hi ponchu sahi sahi bane hai. Mere 2-3 subscribers ne bana ke photo bhi bheji hai.

1st : Shuruyat me jab apne head ka measurement lengi to waha par poncho apke size ka ban raha hai.
2nd : Har row me fande automatically bar rahe hai. Maan lijiye Row 2 me apke paas 3dc wale cluster 20 bane hai. Jab Row 3 banayenge to 2 increasing points jo maine bataya waha par 3dc, ch3, 3dc bana rahe hai. Yani ki ek gap me do 3dc wale cluster ban rahe hai. To fande to bar gae na. Row 3 me wahi cluster bar ke 22 ho jayenge. Hope apko samaj aaya. Still if you have confusion then watch these 3 videos one by one without skipping. Yahi same poncho maine chote size me fhir se bohot details me banaya hai.

Same process hai ma'am. Agar apko lagta hai ki head circumference se thora ghera chora ho jayega apko tight ho sakta hai to shuruyat me 6-7 ch jada le lijiye.

I used Vardhman jackpot thick chunky knitting yarn of 4 ply & hook size 5mm in my poncho (the bigger one) and Vardhman soft 'n' smart knitting yarn of 2 ply & hook size 4mm for my niece (the smaller poncho) Vardhman is one of the most trusted brands of yarn in India which is easily available in all online stores as well as local shops.
Yes mine is for plus size poncho because the yarn is very chunky and I used 5mm hook. Please take ur hear circumference measurement properly and use a bug size hook. It will be definitely go for plus size.

Watch the beginning of the video how I measured my head circumference and how i calculated the number of chs for neck. do the same. then in your cardigan try to decrease sts in the neck. Suppose you have 100 sts in the cardigan neck. But according to head circumference calculated you should have 40... so you have to decrease 60 sts. Do that dec in 1 or 2 rounds. Then when you are left with 40 sts, make the neck as I made it. Also refer this video

If u watch my video carefully then u will know that there is no such measurement for particular age. Just take the head circumference measurement and do accordingly. Follow the video step by step. As for the wool, take double the wool needed in making a sweater.
