- This Modern Granny Winter Poncho pattern could really be called, "Modern Granny Meets Glacier Cowl". I decided for my third poncho in the series to add a ribbed turtleneck to it in the same stitch that I used when crocheting the Glacier Cowl. If you are someone who doesn't like anything on your neck, you can simply leave off the collar and still have a beautiful winter poncho.

thank you so much! I finished this and it is so perfect! I had a knitting pattern from years ago for a poncho with a turtleneck and can't for the life of me find the pattern. I did this with the Ombre dyed yarn, and it is so pretty! I used the leftovers to make a matching dog sweater for my dog. can't wait to wear this in cooler weather.
Wow so easy to join the starting chain. That makes the infinity cowl so much easier.
I love this poncho. I'm already working on the second one. Thanks for sharing.
I love this next on my hook. Downloaded pattern. Thank you Mikey💜
Thanks for explaining how to read the diagrams as I need the visuals these days❣️. You make it so easy peasy 🍫🍫🍫
Wunderschön gefällt mir sehr gut 👍
Beautiful pancho
Finally a diagram!!! Thank you. Only way I crochet.
I’m sorry. Diagrams take time and I don’t always have enough time to make them.
@@TheCrochetCrowd don't be sorry.
This is actually the first chart I've seen for a poncho. I'm thrilled!!!
Thank you again.
I always wanted this O had one. Onnce
If I want to make a bigger size large to XL how many chains do I need. Thank you
I found that using a single crochet foundation chain makes it a lot easier to eliminate the chance of twisting.
Yes, that's a great tip.
Can this be made into a 4 corner poncho? It is nice that it covers the front and back of you, but my arms get cold really fast. Just curious if it could be🧶🧶🧶🧶
Rigtigt dejligt at der er tidspunkter i den fastgjorte kommentar - så man kan klikke derhen til hvor man ønsker hjælp 😊
Ja, det er en ny funktion. Hav en god aften. Yeah it's a new feature. Enjoy your evening.
Love this pattern, but, can regular dbl crochet be done on the cowl part? I despise front and back post stitches.
sure you can.
@@TheCrochetCrowd yay! Thank you! Wasn't sure if there was a specific function for the post stitches or not.
Is there an alternative for the cowl neck. Those back post dc are too hard to hard to do. I'm using a Jumbo Muffin which is thicker yarn than what is in the video.
What other stitches would this be suited too.
Can you tell me the stitch multiple? I want to make this using a yarn with a 4 mm hook so I'll need to make my beginning chain longer.
16, I believe
@@JohnnyandJules Thank you!
Is there a 4 corner winter cowl poncho
We don't have anything like that I am sure.
What stitch is this called??
Modern Granny Stitch
The plastic needle with the loop at the end is at Walmart.
How can this be sized for a child?
Yes, the stitch multiples for the neckline are in sets of 6.
Thank you sooo much!
What is the hook size pls
Looks like a size 5 hook
Mikey...I love this poncho & I want to make it but you and these diagrams, I can’t with you and these diagrams, you freak me out. When I see a pattern with diagrams I skip it and go to the next. Why must it be so darn complicated, all I want to do is make a poncho. I remember abt 5yrs ago Simply Crochet put out a pattern for a poncho, it was so pretty and it didn’t have a diagram. HELP!!! Just make it easy.
The written instructions are there. The diagram is just an added feature. I'm really sorry. You are the second person today to complain about me using these as a visual tool.
I love the diagrams! I can read written patterns but the diagrams really help a visual learner like me!! Thanks Mikey 😍
Really Gina skip to the tutorial or watch another teacher.
