I have a question. My budgie got through his first molt at the end of July (hatched roughly at the beginning of April), and after two stable months he is molting again, does it have something to do with the season? Most of the feathers are those small chest ones, but there are also a few large ones. There are no large patches of feather loss, and he can fly, he is lively, eats well. I just wonder are two molts normal, they seem pretty "close" to me, that's why I'm a bit worried.

I have never encountered a budgie with long difficult molts. Mine (my own and those passing through my foster home) have all had smaller and more frequent molts that don't seem to affect their mood much.

Hi Denny I have a question my budgie when we first got her we clipped her wings and I did not want to do trust me but we did🙁 and now she can’t fly and also you know in your last video my budgie she always would put her head in her feathers and I wanted to know if she was sick and her mouth she would open like if she was like choking on something so I gave her water and sometimes the male does that to what does that mean. And other then that I am a huge fan and my birds are happy to when they molt they change a little the make and his name is grape Change he looks cool lol haha and I love your flock. : )

Can anyone tell or help me in one thing.. recently one of male budgie turn into adult one but his female isn't adult yet..but they cuddle each other all the time..but when the day is little bit hot and the male burdgie trying for matting but got rejected by the female ( as i said female is young 5-6 months actually), the male always go and take a bath. This same incident happened for 2-3 times. Is it normal ? Because i never seen something like this..and that particular male actually hate bathing.

How did you get your birds to let you rub their faces and lay in your hand. I have two amazing budgies that love me very much and I do them but they don’t like me to touch them in any way. I can put my hand in their cage easily and they trust me. Also when my male budgie gets out of the cage to fly he doesn’t go back on his own. I have to catch him in net.
