I've always appreciated Paul Burrell ~ the Queen and Diana chose well. He has a good heart and I certainly don't begrudge him any success or celebrity he has gained since the death of his beloved employer. Thank goodness Diana had 'her rock' in Paul. Someone needed to give her that kind of love and support on a daily basis.
He is probably the person who has listened to her anguish the most.
I don't believe Diana was paranoid. I think Charles was , and continues to be, ruthless.
But don’t think for a second The Kings Cancer isn’t Karma coming back on him for the way he treated Diana!
Absolutely. He still trashed Diana. He started right after her death. He's disgusting.
@@lizamartin4705 Charles NEVER said a word against Diana in public. In his only interview the only thing he said about her was that the marriage had irritreivably broken down. He never once said anything against her. The Royal way is "never complain, never explain."
@@lisajeter9511 How did he treat her that wasn't honorable? She finally admitted that she cheated first and I've never heard him mention it. I think she got her Karma in Paris for being a serial adulterer. She made his life and Camilla's a living hell with her lies and mental instability
@@abbatrouble WRONG in their interview he was asked about being in love he replied ''yeah whatever love is'' she was hurt, taken aback of course. Anyone could see he din't love her. A million men would have been insanely happy to date her, marry her, but he never stopped loving his Camilla, even on their honeymoon on the yacht he was calling Camilla on the phone. The queen was in on it, no help to Diana she only wanted heirs.
Thankful that HRH Diana had Paul to talk to. We all need a friend
Diana's sons felt genuinely betrayed when his book was released. I think he's disgusting for such a betrayal.
You are Right!!!
@@emiliosalman6740 He was very very loyal to her, and the rich royals treated him like a dog after her death.
Of course they would….However, they are her children. He was her confident and friend. He has a story to tell. He arranged for her to arrive home on Sunday morning. Yet, he was the one who flew to Paris and stayed with her body until it was transported back to London. Give him grace. Death definitely has no manual.
I don't think you should give too much truck to men who steal women's underwear.
He was grieving! He spent over a decade making his daily life about her. I believe him. He was the only “male” constant in her life. Yes, he was an employee….however, he was all she had. It’s a fine line!
Me too
I highly doubt that he was Princess Diana's lover! I don't believe she would have been a friend of Paul's wife then take him to her bed! She was suffering from the same situation!!
Are you kidding? First of all Paul was gay, he had a sham marriage. Second of all Princess Diana broke up many a marriage with her infidelities. Remember that as a Royal, no matter how ‘ordinary’ she behaved, she had to be the one to instigate the liaisons.
What a horrible match! Nothing in common! He should have married Camilla then!
What? To end up like you.............miserable. Never, .............too smart for that.
He could not as the woman was not royal, noble or a virgin.
He's not a celebrity!!!! He was a servant!!!
Un sirviente pero más valioso que todos los Windsor juntos !!
Fue un Puntal para la hermosa princesa Diana.
He was a servant, he is a celebrity.
I wish he would keep quiet!!
Why?
@@lemongate4869 Yes, why? Diana didn't keep quiet and aired her dirty laundry in public continuously.
Diana got what she needed from Paul as a employee then friend. Paul also got what he needed from her, a friendship with boundaries. I must say this, that the only thing that makes an aristocrat an aristocrat is how much money and land they have. Who cares about the bloodline. We all have bloodlines. If you trace any aristocratic bloodline , it would start with a man , usually, earning a living then buying land and animals. Then hopefully more is accumulated and you start getting wealthy. Well, when you die your son usually inherits all your hard earned money and estate. Then, the generational wealth continues. It really is stupid to think that Diana's sister thinks she is better than Paul simply because she's from the Spencer family. I know there history thank you. It's always about money, bottom line. How superficial.
I think you are very gullible, and can't believe you actually believe this rubbish! Diana was raised in the upper class of British Society and to even imply such a thing that she would lower her self to talk about private things with a servant would not happen. He sister is right, she had many friends and family, was very close to her sisters and brother, so this is all crapola, drummed up by this man who is an opportunist and is making a lot of money by these lies and innuendo! Why the press keeps talking to him after what he did, and has no shame about it, is beyond me! He even deceived his own wife, don't you see that?
Isaiah 65:21
I love Paul Burrell. Those who hate him only hate him bc he stands by Diana.
Everything he did for the Queen and for Diana was self-serving and to further his own interests.
@@abbatrouble I disagree
Anyone thought of the Cathedral name relevant to Diana becoming famous? St Paul.
He's not a keeper of secrets. He's a big mouth traitor.
Absolutely his is - good on you for saying it!
@@stormdancer25 Diana did not need a servant to tell anyone anything! That's ridiculous! The letter about the car crash has never been authenticated, this whole thing is a total shame, and it will continue as long as the press keeps doing this!
The way the royals treated Paul was typical of the way the rich treat the lower classes. Dianna's mom, drinking, had begun to purge her belongings including Diana's letters and diaries. Paul thought this was wrong.
Diana had passed on to Paul's wife many articles of her wardrobe, and why not ?? Diana had tons of everything. He said she would actually pile these expensive things on the floor.
@@noellesherman4824 I have never heard that her mother was drinking at the time she and her daughters were going through Diana's things, nor have I heard Diana left some of her dresses to his wife! Don't know where you get this from! Diana was about 6 feet tall, Paul's wife was 5 feet nothing! LOLOL It was not Paul's business what Diana's mother did with her belongings, and since he was proven a thief, even more so! Diana was no longer considered a member of the Royal family, so Paul certainly was overstepping his bounds!
I still fo not trust Burrell because of his comments on Harry,he showed a side of favouritism on Princess's sons.As someone who knew all the secrets,he is the one who could have shown Harry the good path and try to play an important role to calm his pain
Everyone need a Paul, someone they can trust 100%. When she had no one there she could trust or felt friendless, she had Paul. He understood her & protected her, he knew she was very young for her age. She needed a best buddy & protector. It was Di herself that made Paul much more than just a servant. After her death, I think Paul might have kept her things entrusted to him for her sons, not to sell so that whole thing was a slap in the face for Paul. He loved her boys like family. He was one of the last people she talked to before the accident. I think most of us heard about that conversation which was her hoping her doctor boyfriend was jealous enough about her time with Dodie to make a move. Their relationship had gone on long enough in secret & she didn't like that. He can write all the books he wants now, the Royals have very few secrets left from back then & him writing about his life is fine in my book, I'd buy it!
She confided in him. Then he betrayed her for profit after she died. Who knows if what he wrote about Diana is actually true. After all she’s no longer here to refute what he says. IMO Paul Burrell is despicable.
Trust Paul 100%? He betrayed her when he wrote his book. He also stole Diana’s belongings and was prosecuted for it. He only got away with it when, during his trial, the Queen made a statement that she remembered
he had told that he had taken some of Diana’s belongings for safe keeping. The Queen only said that because Pauls Barristers said they would call the Queen to give evidence in court to corroborate his story. Imagine that! Paul Burrell is despicable IMO
Hoping her Dr boyfriend was jealous enough about her time with Dodi to make a move? All that shows about Diana was just how manipulative she was!
Not necessarily manipulative…I see broken & craving attention and love.
@@angelaglanville9377 True. She did the same with Charles pretending she liked horses, dogs and a quiet country life to ensnare him while in reality he had no interests besides clothes and partying.
The reason Queen Elizabeth II suddenly remembered during Burrells trial that he had told her he had taken Princess Diana’s belongings for safe keeping was because Burrells defense Barristers intended to call the Queen to give evidence in court. Can you imagine that? No! Neither can I. The man is not only an opportunist but also a liar. For instance he turned down 1 million then 2 million pounds for his book but accepted £350.000 from the Daily Mirror to serialize snippets from his book, knowing full well that the book would sell through such blatant free advertising through the Mirror to bring him so much more wealth. Burrell IMO is absolutely despicable.
Despicable indeed!!! Thank you for those informations. I was always wondering why the late Queen did as such - now it makes sense to me. I don't think HM was a big fan of footman Burrell. Thanks from Switzerland
@@harryhaller8975 I just wanted to clarify the situation as it was reported at the time.
Don't know what you're talking about. Sorry.
Disagree. I think the only people who hate him only hate him bc he stands by Diana.
@@harryhaller8975well his version is he would've gone to jail but she remembered she told him to take the items. She went in and told the court so he wouldn't go to jail. Which was very kind. Bc he just did what she told him.
He was a Great man stand by princess Diana all the way
We must respect him no Matter
What !!!!
oh baloney
In this video Diana is the most like the statue of her at Kensington Palace - the clothes, the hair. William and Harry don't remember how she looked when she was glamorous and in her twenties and this is the period they remember. They chose a photograph to be replicated with a statue and that is how she looked at the end. At 16:08 her hair is exactly like it is on the statue.
IN NO WAY ABSOLUTELY IN NO WAY DOES SHE RESEMBLE THAT DISGUSTING HORRIBLE STATUE, her beautiful blonde hair was light, glorious, bouncy and always different, not heavy and dreary miserable like markle.
Love Paul Burrel! ❤
This is such crapola! He was neither of what is claimed here, he is an opportunist and a thief, who after 10 years working for the Queen he never rose above the rank of footman! Unfortunately many of those who worked with him, did not want to talk about him, some have, but he was certainly NOT her confident he was an ambitious opportunist looking out for himself, he was cheating on his wife with other men, she had no idea, he stole Diana's property, saying he was saving them, because her mother and sisters were shredding things which was their right! Many of her servants stole from her, he was one of them! The Princes are disgusted by his behavior, and do not view him as her defender or "keeper" of her legacy! The only reason he isn't in prison, is because Charles did not want his sons to suffer any more emotional pain, and it was time to let the whole thing rest! Then he wrote books full of BS, and has made a fortune exploiting his position, and it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous! It's time people realize this man is a fraud and stop giving him voice!
Totally agree but have real sympathy for growing up in such poverty
I absolutely agree with you: "an ambitious opportunist", greedy for fame and lots of cash. He wanted to shine in the royal light, claiming to be Diana's closest and most trusted friend. I just wonder, whether all the staff of the royal family have to sign a confidentiality agreement before they start their job? If so, how could he talk so much about Princess Diana? And my biggest question mark, why did the queen save Mr. Burrell from a conviction??? We will never know, I am afraid.
@@harryhaller8975 They absolutely do have to sign a confidentiality agreement, and he broke his! Another clue to his great lack of integrity and loyalty!
@@harryhaller8975actually we do know why the Queen saved him. His defense Barrister planned to call the Queen as a witness to corroborate his story. No way could she go to court to do anything of the kind. Pauls Barrister was obviously very clever.
Apparently he was really pissed off when he was told he would be working for Diana, because to him, being a footman to the Queen was much more prestigious than the Butler to Diana.
He is nauseous!!
No, Paul be nice. You be fart, big fart. Why be fart ???? Fart not be nice. Fart be smelly.
Why does Emily Andrews voice drawl so much ? I love her insight but I cant stand the way she croaks and drawls her words ay rhr end of sentences 😢 is there a reason for this?
then drivel he spouted with Prince Harry’s book 🤨

Could he be Harry’s dad? Allegedly!
No! I doubt that very seriously.
He did not work there, no was Diana involved with anyone during the birth of her boys! What a comment! It's bad enough listening to Burrel and his BS, but comments like this are erroneous. Where do people come up with these ideas?
He divorced his wife and came out as gay.
Not at all ! Take a look at Prince Philip when he was younger and you will know Charles is Harry’s father.
What are you talking about !! DIANA WAS NOT STUPID TO HAVE KIDS WITH OTHER MAN
