A lot of people are scared to help others until someone acts first. It’s called the bystander effect. I’m glad that one person didn’t hesitate to help the unconscious person in the car. I think her helping encouraged others to help too!
Well, the bystander effect isn't people being "scared" to help, just way less likely to help, the more people are around. It can be attributed to different factors, like feeling as if you're not assessing the situation correctly because "nobody else is helping, so it must be not that serious", but fear isn't really one of them, as far as I'm aware.
If you're in America too, you can literally help someone and save their life. If you do that they can also sue you after saying they'd just rather die then and there and not saved or sue them for complications and such other b.s.
@@NeonRetrro Actually, in the US (and most other countries) people providing reasonable first aid are protected from legal consequences by a "good samaritan" law. If you break someone's rib giving them life-saving CPR, they can't sue you for it

The bystander effect is the collective response to a serious situation which calls for leadership. People affected literally goes into "awaiting instructions" mode, until someone takes the initiative and gives them some.

The first person that ran after the car that had a medical emergency was actually a coworker of hers. She ran out and tried to get everyone’s attention that it was not normal but when no one was really paying attention she just took matters into her own hands and then a bunch of random people helped

2:10 the First Lady was actually a friend of the fainted grandma , she recognized her as she was another employee at the same place she worked at, she ran up and waved for help , a military man helped , 3 - 5 other people came to help as well. As a German, I can't imagine living somewhere where you just encounter wild bears on the street. All animals here are so harmless.
Also the fact that recently there's been more of these clips of bears chasing people and dogs into their houses... America will be in a civil war soon. Bears vs humans. This is only the beginning.

I'm Brazilian and I think the same. I don't live near regions in Brazil you can encounter wild jaguars or alligators or snakes (the big ones). Mostly I just can encounter some macaws, capybaras (they're just so chill), toucans, and sloths. The dangerous ones I can encounter are some venomous snakes, scorpions, and one species of spider, their poison can hurt or even kill you, but never found one of them yet.
In Spain, just a few countries over, I got thrown off my bike by a wild boar.

For starters, you need to stop generalizing an entire population and speak for yourself. Second, this is not a frequent occurrence and if it is, people would have to be there at the right place and time and actually know what they are doing before doing something like this. On the daycare in the Netherlands thing: This was only for a very small period of time, until one of them malfunctioned and got hit by a train, resulting in many injuries/deaths. After that, they were banned by the government, until a solution against malfunctions was found.

Quick correction for the person who had the medical emergency driving - the first person who ran out to the car was their coworker who knew them and realized something was wrong, and then got more people to help. It was in a news story with the two of them being interviewed. Another person to help was a military man.
Thank you for the additional context. Though no one appeared bad/wrong, I was curious as to why the first person shown to interact w/ the car seemed so confident.

I read that in the description in another compilation video. Was this someone coming back after lunch & her friend happened to be outside? Or was it random occurrence and the co-worker waiting at the intersection thinking "OMG! I know that car!"
It is amazing how people will jump in to help in situations like this. Often, people will stand and watch until one person steps forward, then they will join in to help.

@@viiperbiite I've never heard of any jail not taking all of your personal belongings. There aren't really "low-security" jails, but there are minimum-security prisons. This is because _everyone_ goes to jail first, including murderers. Now, maybe she's from some small town and new the cop, but I guarantee she wasn't allowed to have a phone. Unless there's something I've never heard of before...

Always gives me faith in humanity when I see so many people help out an individual in need. Well done to the woman who first ran to the car to see what was wrong 👏🏼
Then when you learn that in America people have to pay $2,000 for the ambulance and much more for the hospital and much much more for basic medicines and that country still considers this as something normal, faith in humanity fades again :/ It only relies on good samaritans but not on the system that is supposed to take care of people.

@@fuminshoo1266 That's the thing about "the system." It's not a utopia where healthcare is free. Life costs money. The incentives of profit drive many people to work in that field and do a good job. Even if there was a "system" to do this task, I'm sure it would be bloated, inefficient and not even accomplish its edict in the first place.
Also, a good samaritan is enough. I was in a car accident in 2017 and if people who witnessed it didn't call 911 immediately, I'd be dead. I couldn't ask for more or be more thankful.

Considering it's a bunch of Hungarians filming in Italy, I'm guessing that he started reading because the traffic light is designed poorly (like most things in Italy) and takes a really long time to turn green but the Hungarians just don't know it yet

This will probably never be seen but…Fun fact: the person who became unconscious in the car had actually taken medication on an empty stomach that morning which caused her to pass out, and the first person that went to help her was one of her colleagues so she recognised her car 😁

@@WxnBum The guy on the scooter was being chased bc he wasn't abiding by the rules and riding on the sidewalks -- pretty much as wreckless as you can get, making a full on collision w/ a pedestrian at 18 mph -- as well as refusing to stop when the police tried to stop him. But of course they're west allis police so they radio'd for half the team on shift to pursue him. Last I heard he was at risk of receiving a felony charge for evasion of police.
@@Scenery.. those kind of scooters arnt ment for the sidewalk as they can go up to 50 to 70mph there pretty much like mopeds
@@ihcuwign1707 Yessir i'm well aware of their capabilities. Just didn't want to stop and make a frame by frame examination of whether it was a rental which are usually capped at ~18 vs a personally owned scooter.
