- Way before Aquaman, The Conjuring, and even Dead Silence, James Wan was just focused on breaking into the industry. And like many directors, used horror as a way to do so. Along with Leigh Whannell, they were able to craft a story that exploded into its own franchise that continues to this day. So join us today as we deconstruct James Wan's Saw.

Adams acting was rough in spots for sure but in my opinion the ending wouldn't have been nearly as impactful without adams reaction to Jigsaw standing up AND when the movie ends and he's just screaming in the dark. So good
Having recently watched Saw X (which is probably the second best Saw), I enjoy almost all the Saw movies for how over the top they get and the unique method of killing Jigsaw has.
In your opinion, it's the 2nd best.
@@realhousewifeoftransylvania1.0 yes, that was kind of implied. Saw 2 is really good as well.
SAW is still a great film. The deaths were gruesome, but not overly gory and silly. It was pretty cool does this movie was shot mostly in one building.
The OG Saw is a fantastic horror film. Screw the critics, this is one of the greatest horror films ever made, flaws and all. This is honestly a masterpiece in my eyes, and I am glad to have finally watched it! It’s pure brilliance to me!
I know it could relate to every movie but seeing Saw without any knowledge about it is the top tier experience, which is impossible nowadays, my only knowledge about it was a teaser trailer for 2 where only some CCTV footage 2as shown and title presented so I choose to see it while thinking "It got sequel, might be worthy".
I Have The Unrated Version On DVD Along With The Entire Saw DVD Collection It's The Best Saw Franchise Ever. But As For Jigsaw, Spiral: The Book Of Saw And Saw x I Haven't Seen Yet But In Time I'll Get To It.
Ignore Jigsaw and Spiral because they are awful....but Saw X is in the top 2 sequels!!!
"Game Over."
Great 😊
Jame's 😂 I think his name is just James no apostrophe. Unless he's fancy now. 😅 Saw is a def favorite of mine.
The original is the best
I’ve never understood the “twist” at the end of Saw. Why was it necessary in the game for there to be a (seemingly) dead body in the room?
When their videotape said, "X marks the spot," I thought the X was corpse all splayed out. I never considered what the point of John being there was until just now. Fair question.
In the movie, when the cops go to the trap with the candle and the broken glass, the lady cop (can’t remember her name) notices a hole in the wall and points out that Jigsaw must like to watch his victims in their traps. In the case of Adam and Lawrence in the bathroom, Jigsaw probably figured there’s no better place to watch the action than the bathroom itself. Haven’t seen it yet but I know in Saw III, they explain more about it
The shaking or spinning cam is the worst thing to happen to cinematography.
Agreed 🎉
You commenting such dribble is why your opinion is garbage!
The first saw is pretty great its all downhill after that
You have bad taste then! Saw 2, 6, and X are incredible!
I hated that puppet then and a hate it now. The movie would have been better off without it.
