f .f this song featured in her âWhen we all fall asleep, where do we go?â album, which was made to present ideas about sleep paralysis, suicide etc. and this song was one of the songs she wrote about her nightmares of monsters under her bed. The chorus (what do you want from me? why arenât you scared of me? etc) is âsangâ by the monster under Billies bed. The verses are other words that the monsters said to her.
Of course, they werenât actually monsters under her bed, but Billie experienced nightmares consistently, every day, all showing the same thing over and over again
