- Did you know that guests at Deluxe Resorts get two extra hours of park time on select nights? We decided to review Animal Kingdom Lodge and take advantage of two extra hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
Our mission? To find out how many rides we could pack into those Extended Evening Hours. Let's find out!

Hi Katrina! Yes, there are no Lightning Lanes during early park entry or extended evening hours. It’s part of what makes the lines move so much more quickly during these times. Thanks for watching!

I know it's rare, but what nights does DHS do extended magic hours typically? We only ever see Epcot on Mondays and MK on Wednesdays.

Can you make a video regarding extended evening hours at magic kingdom? There haven’t really been any videos made about so Far on CZcams.
It’s actually in our plan to film one next week! We’re staying at Saratoga Springs to review it and we’ll be doing extended hours at MK. It might be a few weeks before it goes up because there are a few videos ahead of it in the queue and those take a while to edit. Thanks for watching!

For extended hours, as a deluxe guest, do you have to have been at the park during the day or can you be at another park all day and then hop to extended hours at 9pm?
Hi Christina - I apologize for the delay. We’ve gotten pretty backed up in answering comments since the holidays. You will need a park pass that allows you to enter the park that has extended evening hours - so either a park pass for that park or a park pass for another park along with a park hopper ticket. I didn’t know Hollywood studios got extended evening hours!! I thought it was just Epcot and magic kingdom!
Yes - it’s kinda rare, which was what made us really want to schedule our hotel review so we could do both. It’s almost always Magic Kingdom or Epcot, but every now and then they toss in Hollywood Studios. Doubt they’ll ever add Animal Kingdom because they have to care for the animals at night and I think the park staying open really late disturbs them.
I read they change them to DHS during the party season at MK
No! Don’t replace the Buzz ride!
I know - it’s one of our favorites. If they do replace it, they better knock it out of the park (by which I mean do a great job, not literally remove it from the park). 🤣
