The MHL sucks. We all know the players that come out of there are busts. Like Nikita Kucherov who had a 1.46 point per game average in that league. We all know that 2 Stanley cup wins and 167 points in 147 playoff games isn't what teams are looking for. Like what is this? You don't need to be a professional hockey scout to see the potential this kid has. For those saying he's playing in a shitty league so it doesn't really count or for those who think he's the next Guy Lafleur... let the kid play. Let him cook. We'll see how he pans out.
I think Demidov is the goods. Of course, all we have to go on is tape and opinion. People will just have to temper expectations because most of the fancy deeks aren't going to work so well against professionals. We saw that last season with Bedard. Every time he tried to get fancy they ate his lunch.

just gotta say even though the MHL may be the Q quality, you stil gotta put up the points, all the highlights ive seen seem to point to a very smooth transition and transferable skills
Literally all the goals I’ve seen would work on junior goalies imo his shot is elite
That was my sixth draft and the Sphere was a fantastic venue. Just wish Day 2 hadn't started at 8:30am, although it made sense when the usher was imploring us to leave so they could clean up for the first of three movie showings later that day. I had the typical Vegas mental fog after I got back but it was from getting up at 6am rather than staying up too late. This might be my last draft since the teams will be staying home, but I would make an exception if they did it in Vegas again.
Dont forget who Buiums agent is. I think the flyers understood they didnt want to take that chance again

Demidov has the goods. But as we saw last season with Bedard, the slick skating and deeks don't work so well against professionals. People will just have to patient until his game adapts because there will be a drop-off.
Two years ago Slovakia had the first two picks, this year there was only one Slovak in the entire draft and he was born in Buffalo.
Bill and judd already said that buium will go back to college next year but after that its unknown
