You could spunk into one of the tubes before adding the oil and send it off to blackstone, see if they can detect any of the cummins in the oil

not bad for 290k! i also wonder if the low oil level affected the copper, seems logical that it would. Anyway thanks for a reminder to send mine off, got the kit but...

Thanks! Copper level isn't super high anyways but good reminder to check my level more frequently especially at this age!
      Good luck with your report!

it's an LC, that says it all.

Might want to try another oil analysis company. Blackstone is slower than molasses on a winter day. Takes close to a month.

It definitely took a bit longer this time than when i did it 2 years ago

I've never changed my oil. I use Frantz toilet paper filters. The Refiner TP filters work too. Public notice: $1000 reward to the first person who can prove that my oil "breaks down"

Is that a Toyota recommended oil change interval? Noticed the annalist report is based on just over 6000 miles criteria of what is acceptable. I come from the land of metric where measurements mean what they mean and are not fractured.

Toyota intervals are 5,000 miles or 6 months. Definitely on the side of caution. There are so many factors that can affect when you might want to change the oil. I like to do mine every 6k or so for peace of mind. Some oils claim they are good for 10 or even 15k miles, and while that might be true, there are other factors that make me want to do it more frequently!

11k OCI is too long I don’t care what the lab results say

Agreed. I prefer to dimo it around 6k. This time waited a bit too long but all highway.

I change oil every 3-4k. Max 3k in the winter especially due to higher PWM by injectors at cold startup. Watch the video by David chao and recomendations by a Nissan engineer. I am sure ur engine and pistons clogged due to long OCI

Do mine at 4K. Kilometres. Or when it’s not spotless any more 😂😂😂. Am I wasting good oil ?

Depends on your driving patterns. Short trips or long trips? Max 6 month between oil changes
