    This morning when I first opened the hood to look at the level of the fluid it was above the max line but after it pumped it went exactly on the Max line, which I think is normal? Also I just tested my accumulator and it took around 28 seconds to pump the break fluid before it stopped, it sounded good. One more thing, the Break fluid was above the max line before starting the engine this morning, but after it pumped it leveled with the max line. I think that's normal? Anyway this video is extremely helpful

      Hey great question. When I took them off they weren't on there, and I was going to reuse the old ones. Toyota used to include the shims with new pads but found customers wanted to buy just pads. So far no squealing without the shims! As far as indicators, I inspect things often so they weren't necessary for me.

    Thanks for the info - this has gotta be my problem cause I can smell the unburnt gas so the valve is not recycling the unburnt gas. BTW I switched to real gas two tank fulls ago and car is running much better but I expected problems with parts that weren't used to real gas (labeled recreational gas at station). I switched after smelling the ethanol added gas in the can for my lawn mower which smells like rotting plants. I said no way am I using that shit in any of my engines. Unbelievable that gas companies would sell that shit for anything but maybe compost additive. Long story short all my engines run much better with more power but I expected them to have some hiccups while getting used to real gas again, and so it was that my Lexus needed some minor adjustments and a few things cleaned and/or new sensors etc, also did a complete tune up adding new coil igniters, spark plugs, etc. But in the end it is worth it. It runs like a race car now. Major power increase! PVC valve is gunked up so I will replace it now too. Thanks again. Tom Holland

    Hi Greg... I have a 1999 Lx470 with 194k miles.... Was thinking about going with Full Synthetic... is there a problem switching over to full if its only had conventional prior to this?

    • @cruisinwithgreg
      @cruisinwithgreg Před 2 měsíci

      Hey! So mine had conventional for the first 150k miles before switching to fill synthetic. The one thing you have to be mindful of is over time the seals can wear down, but gunk build up can fill those in. If you switch to full synthetic, the cleaners may remove that gunk and thereby exposing those worn down seals resulting in leaks. You can get high mileage full synthetic that contains seal swelling agents that can help keep those seals from leaking as the engine gets older. It is a slight risk to switch but most people find it worth it and don't experience any issues. Thanks!
