For anyone that needs :
Killing the bear is easy, use bow like Manic did and lower him. When shit gets rough lead him to the middle of the village. All your villagers will atack, dont worry they wont die, they will retreat like Einar did in the video, and the others will take their place. Ive killed the bear 3 times with this method.
Its important to give your guys weapons. Or they wont fight, your hunters will fight with the bows.

Yup bear is a pain. Best fight I had was when my guy and 5 villagers surrounded it and just pummeled it. It couldn't charge and everyone survived. It's fun when skeletons join the bear.... but cool game snd great job on your vids bro. Your Information is gold ty

Bear got me by surprise the first game, but because I build my village like an absolute spaghetti mess, it messed up the bears pathfinding so much that the watchtower attacking him had him running back and forth until it died lmao.
A game later I just lured it back into the village expecting this to happen again. Nope. He demolished the watchtower in two charges, guard fell down and lost half life, then got mauled to death. Meanwhile the rest of the village clubbed the bear with hammers and hoes and rakes... It did die, but so did three of my guys. Not worth.
My current game is going muuuuch better. I found an awesome seed with a cave very close to spawn, right next to a big flat grasslands area with many water collectors, two wolf dens close enough to farm but far enough to not aggro, and a skeleton spawn that just so happened to be in the path of the bear.
Easiest game so far. Gotta get winter ready tho. Day 20 already and nobody but me has any clothes.

nice seed. just remember try to always have the eye working. even if some folks are homeless for a day. and get farm set up as soon as you are able to start farming flax. that way you can get clothes very quickly
For the first time, I did not know that a bear would even come. Fortunately, I had the game saved, so it only took about five times to load the game. I figured it was best to lure the bear away from the village and just roll around until the attack was over then it would leave.
that is totally a viable option. i got greedy because ive beaten the bear before and wanted the resources he dropped and that unfortunately cost me a villager. greed kills kids

That bear in this part of the game is so unnecessary. I think the devs are sadists. Also for some reason, I can't make my character roll. I press shift like it says but it just does not roll. This game is getting very annoying for me and it is heading for my shelf,
Rolling uses stamina. Check you’re not out when you are trying to roll. If you blow all your stamina attacking you won’t have any left to roll away. Also shift + a direction rather than just shift but I’m sure you know that. Hope you get sorted dude. I started hosting a public game and other players came in and helped out. They were WAY more efficient than me. Had a massive village with 18 villagers by time bear came. They took it down with my help in about 20 seconds lol. Fail -> learn -> fail less. Keep trying - It’s a great game.
dont get discouraged. and definitely take a break if you think it will help. it is a tough game especially when you are still learning (hopefully they give us customization option for making the game more peaceful) but having a massive collapse and coming out the other side alive makes it feel awesome. then when you look back at your village and remember their use to be nothing in that very spot when you first started it feels really cool
also having a couple starts under your belt can really make a difference
