769. Metal Gear REX - Fair Spirit Battle - Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Too tall for their own good!
The goal is to showcase how the developers interpreted the character/item - the spirit - with a fair fight!
What do I mean by "Fair"? Certainly not fair for ME! Essentially, I'm selecting a Primary Spirit without any Type-Advantage and a similar Spirit Power to the opposing spirits! I've also turned off all Adventure Skills if the battle takes place in the Adventure Mode and I'm avoiding the use of Support Spirits and their Skills unless it ends up being necessary in a fight (All the floor is lava!). Primary Spirits with a Skill or some other buff may be used.
Difficulty level in Adventure Mode remains at "Normal". I believe this best represents the full spectrum of enemy AI rather than playing on "Hard" which would push what are supposed to be easier fights towards the difficult side of the spectrum (misrepresenting developer intent!) Besides, the Spirit Board has no difficulty selection! I can only assume that those fought there are of an equivalent AI setting to "Normal" in Adventure Mode.
Focusing on uploading all the fights comes first! Insights, stats, or descriptions may come later!

Almost broke my switch over this fight. FINALLY beat it with 0.2% left by using Agitha's Lipstick.

Overly difficult.
On their own they're not so bad, but as soon as either of them pick up an item--which spawn WAY too damn often--they become ridiculous. And if you favor a fighter that doesn't use projectiles, or don't have any such unlocked, you're hosed.
If you're a close ranged fighter, you might to be even more careful.

I only beat this level with a max level enhanced Metal gear V revolver ocelot
I used olimar here. The Pikmin can whittle down their health while you get to keep your distance.
So given this Base sub-world associated with the heavy Metal Gear representation, I bet if World of Light was a Subspace-esque story mode we would have gotten a Metal Gear level (possibly Shadow Moses) with a Metal Gear REX boss fight. Dang it.
It is shadow Moses Island at least the part where your running around in the hallways

That one's a hard one and it's much harder than Skarmory, Dive man, Metal gear RAY, and Chaos!

My strat was just spamming mega man's down smash attack aka the leaf shield
After about 10 times failing I beat it with Fox by basically just holding down and b
Haven't attempted this in over a year cause this level got me so discouraged, wish me luck 😂

@@yorbasfett this is just a problem with most of the fights in world of light. Some of them are incredibly frustrating.
Why is not the metal gear rex has a rail gun from original then the they called broken metal gear rex no railgun from metal gear 4

Anyone who needs help:
In the skill tree, use your skill points to use on less fire damage to the robs. That's how I beat them, I also used these spirits
Lyn (Blade lord) (She has a lot of attack if you level her up)
