About Eckhart Tolle

I am very interested in the moment that I wake up. It is exactly as he said. It's extremely peaceful. Then before you know it, the mind takes over.
Yes and I don’t know is it just the thought patterns in my head that arises but they appear to be very intensive now when the presence has taken more room. Like there is so much more presence now in me, awareness of me and the mind, and yet somehow the mind still takes over in more intense matters than before. Of course these are just thoughts here but I think the mind gets scared and that it why it tries even harder to take over. And the emotions, mostly fear, that have been more intense than ever in my life. I’m aware of it only being emotion and not me or not anything that perhaps even real. But it is intense at times and of course the mind joins in and here we are again 😬🤪😌.

I'm so happy that i'm no longer being tormented and tortured by my thoughts. I remember a thought that really made me suffer the most "no one in this entire earth can be suffering more than myself" and that almost led me to suicide.

I always told myself in the seeking that it can't be this simple, it cannot feel this way ITS TOO SIMPLE and then kept searching but I realize now it is me it is who I am, I is what it is.

I love listening to Alan Watts. One CZcams video of him talking back in the late 60's he was talking about some kind of radio frequency in the future that would allow everyone to connect on computers that have evolved to fit on the size of a desk. This was the late 60's and he was talking about the INTERNET!!!

He makes it so wonderfully easy to simply step into the stillness.
The mind is a tool.... not YOU! Do NOT think that your mind is in control, YOU are in control of your mind, takes practice to change habitual thought patterns, especially about the self, but it is necessary or it freaking takes over you. The only thing you ever have ANY control of is your current thought, THINK DIFFERENTLY and this new way of thinking will be established.... the mind is like a mindless radio that's constantly going.... use intention on your thoughts, awareness of the radio is key! Light and love to all!

I have listened to Eckhart speak in a number of CZcams videos now, and I have wondered if he is at all an Hegelian because I believe I can detect elements of Hegel's philosophy in Eckhart's discussions. Can anyone address this question? Was Eckhart influenced by Hegel at all?

If more people would follow his teachings and stop thinking, stop striving, stop fighting;
then even more of the world could be in grinding poverty and misery, like the slums of India.
Approximately a month ago, I hit a point that a wheel in my mind stopped...Total silence...It freaked me out although i felt relieved. I was like floating...Totally aware of the environment but felt like i've dumbed down. But I was not...Then during the day i've lost it gradually (as i considered it as a problem I tried to turn back to normal and after a couple of hours the wheel in my mind started working slowly again)...
I want that back now :) But I don't know how I got there in the first place.
If you know it stopped then thought was very much there. This is the problem with the majority of teachings. That which is now or ALL or whatever word works for you has not need for teachings. Does it make sense that you have to get to where you are now? Does it make sense that you have to become what you are now? Any effort you make to get where you think you want to go it keeping you from being there now.
No, it's not a state that can be told in words. Because it's the first time in my life that i fully experienced "relief" and "emptiness" in my mind. "Void" if you will...It was like as if a wheel was turning at the background and suddenly it stopped for a brief 4-5 hours. I first heard how noisy my mind was in silence...
And as i embrace the change, my current status (back to normal) doesn't bother me. I don't seek a form or force anymore. I try to flow with the current. (And i now know how i got there but it worked for that part of the experience. "Now" is another moment and same steps don't apply in this moment and it's not about a state of mind. I don't want to return to any particular state anymore.)
If you "experienced" then you were there. Experience requires division. Thought creates division. Life, now, presence, call it whatever you like, it's an undivided wholeness. Thought is quite clever and can interpret an experience to be profound but that doesn't make it so. Even ET is left interpreting his experiences through thinking. Whatever happened to him, if anything was likely just for him and was not intended for anyone else or to be monetized.
Undivided wholeness can be achieved only by death.

Thought is knowledge, information that has been put into you. Tell me about a feeling without the use of that knowledge. What is the feeling? Who's feeling it? When? Where? You must use the knowledge that has been put into you by society in order to contemplate any of these things. You can only play back what has been put in. Even ET spends most of his time quoting "others", using knowledge that he accumulated from "others".
