Being called a good citizen by Judge Judy should come with its own framed diploma.
People who don't watch say "She's a bully, she's so mean" but she only acts that way towards people who have committed a crime and need a wake-up call. When she respects someone, she is lovely to them and thankful for them.
Facts. She needs a plaque lol
AGREED!
right!
I’d put it on my resume
Quick explanation for those confused.
After reading everyone’s pre-hearing answers, JJ would have strongly suspected that the defendants didn’t leave the theatre in a rush because they suddenly realised that they were at the wrong location. JJ knew that the likely reason why they left the theatre in a rush is because the defendant knew he had been spotted by the witness vandalising the car and he/they therefore had to all leave the scene quickly.
They made up the story about being at the wrong theatre as an explanation as to why they left the theatre suddenly without seeing a movie.
JJ wanted to prove the wrong theatre story was a lie/highly unlikely and she did so through her questioning - which then highlighted the inconsistencies and questionable explanations in their answers. “Explanations” such as: initially mixing up the theatres, but they’ve lived in the area for many years and been there many times before; male defendant said Sharon organised the booking, but Sharon then said that HE organised the booking; not even knowing the name of the other theatre complex; said they’d “booked” tickets which means they would have booked SEATS, but apparently the other theatre was so full that they couldn’t get a seat and didn’t end up seeing the movie at all.
Plaintiff was also extra lucky that she had such a forthright and observant witness. Just by simply reading the witness statement before the case even began, JJ would have known that her statement was likely accurate. And after then hearing/meeting the witness (in which she put herself forward as an honest and reliable person), JJ would have known her statement was DEFINITELY truthful/honest.
Sharon herself basically conceded in the end that she’d lied for the defendant when JJ called her out on it.
Hope this explanation helps 😊
JJ’s retention of all the reputed facts in parallel lists is amazing.
Agreed on all of the above except possibly the reserved seat thing. While that is how most theaters operate today, that wasn't always the case and may not have been the case for that particular theater in 2018 (or whenever this episode was aired).
Thank you I was very confused
Yes thank you so much I was so confused how she deduced the lady defendant was lying
Great summary
Love that she thanked the witness for going out of her way to help the plaintiff ❤
The witness is a music and voice teacher in Austin. Neat!
She seems like a really nice lady.
I watched the case on TV and at the very end of the show in the hallway they cut to a shot of the witness up close and she was facing the camera and she was smiling SO big. It was quite beautiful to see. And I also agree I'm glad the judge thanked her for doing what she did. She beams respect and dignity and she deserved to get acknowledged.
Both JJ and the witness warmed my heart.
Yess! When she told her she was a good citizen 🥹❤ I'd put that on my resume 😂
I will never understand how people let politics control their emotions to this extent. Like your anger just costs you $2,000+...
it controlled people to the point of restricting their breath and taking something into their bodies that has caused a lot of suffering.
@@emilycunningham8125oh look, deflection. how original
@@emilycunningham8125Take what into their bodies?
@@emirom2She's an anti-vaxxer.
@@ucwhittenthey probably don’t kno what deflection even means 😂
I loved how the defendant's face became more "sunburnt" as his witness kept lying for him, and Judge Judy ripped her story to pieces. Masterful display!
Wow...... I thought I was the only one who noticed. I had to play back to part 1 to see the contrast in complexion. He was furious that JJ was cutting through his lies.
I noticed that too. It was very telling and gave an indication of his internal state! That was a masterclass in discovering the truth by JJ.
I noticed in the last vid lol JJ taught me that
Yes😂😂😂😂
I observed the same thing. The more JJ asked questions, the redder he got!
So sweet Judge Judy complimented Ms. Kaplowitz. Some people turn a blind eye and she chose to be a good citizen🙌
Hard not to like the witness! Everyone loved her from part 1 ❤
Regardless of your feelings on political candidates and people’s choice, you can’t do that.
It's a crime and he payed for it, it's that simple. If a sticker triggered him that bad then he should seek help before it gets worse.
In India, a military soldier killed 4 people because they disagreed with his political/religious beliefs in August 2023.
Agreed
@@turbulantarchitect5286i know the story ur talking about. It is terrifying
I feel his pain and sometimes people just get tired of the absolute BS.
Without Miss Kapowitz this case would have gone cold. Kudos to good citizens.
This is one of the best JJ cases I've seen in a long time. Watching her interrogate the defendant and then the defendant's witness and catch them both in their lies truly showcases what a brilliant lawyer she is, and that she earned her spot on the bench. Even though she's no longer grilling people at the witness stand, she's still got it in her after all these years. Bravo.
I believe she now has another similar show on cable. I forgot which channel.
Like an episode of the Lincoln Lawyer!!!!!
It is called Justice Judy and it is no good. Just a pitiful showcase for her granddaughter, who lacks the zestful charm of her grandmother.
It’s called Judy Justice
Yeah she's the real deal compared to these other judge shows
This is like a cat toying with a mouse before it kills it
For real😂😂😂😂😂😂 JJ is the GOAT!!!!
Good analogy!
I died when she said “I'm going to put you out of our misery”😂😂
Can we all agree this was one of the best cases being televised in JJ 20 year history. Simply marvellous I really enjoyed the witness and JJ meticulous interrogation skills.
The plaintiffs witness is a wonderful person, she could have just ignored the whole situation and moved on but, she did the right thing by taking his plates. Most people would have minded their business out of fear or retribution but she didn't. What a great person!
The intensity of this case increased every second. The fast way in which JJ was asking the questions and exposing the lies had my anxiety going up to the roof. Great case!!
This actually was a good case! To see JJ interrogate the witness was priceless!
I hate that the defendant put his girlfriend in that position. What a creep.
Yes, I'd definitely be interested in more of these types of cases uploaded!! Had me hooked like a movie 😂😂
Just imagine….you just arrived at the movie theatre, excited to enjoy some time with your family and before you even make it inside, your husband pulls you aside and tells you that you all have to leave because someone saw them vandalize a vehicle. They were probably so incredibly embarrassed and upset that he had ruined their day. I have no idea what he said to her in order to make her lie for him on tv but I would advise anyone who has a partner like this to RUN!
True. I can imagine her children’s disappointment because of their mother’s narcissist boyfriend. This stupid man ruined their day.
Chances are the wife wasn’t there in the first place. Judge Judy clocked it in the first parts of the case.
His girlfriend was never there, that's how she got caught in the lies. The black lady said she wasn't there
@@erickanew Oh, that makes sense. I was wondering how she thought the gf was in her 30s! 😂
I’ve never been so invested in a episode like this one😂😂
Right?! I was so excited that I had all 4 parts available when I started watching.
😂right
Tell me about it! That was me lol
Wow. That was a masterclass in getting to the truth while eviscerating the defendants. Pure genius. It shows her long experience in dealing with such matters. Not much gets past JJ!
Ouch... This is what happens when you realize judges were once lawyers and prosecutors... 😬😬😬
He’s a nasty person, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was verbally and emotionally abusive. If she doesn’t agree with him, he lets her have it. I hope she got away!
Ugh... The way he peered over those glasses like a total demon, yep it all in the eyes... Run lady run...
I wouldn't be surprised and can almost guarantee you he was at the J6 insurrection.
@@user-st1hy6ql3jwell, if we was, he’s probably locked up…. So many of them have been locked up since then…
Agree
Right. She better run. He looks like he's gonna get her when they get back home.
Defendant's witness didn't even realise she gave the exact same name for both theatres, the wrong and the correct one: "The Arbor"
😂😂
JJ said think hard😂😂
Hahaha 😂
She said the theaters have similar names. Maybe "Arbor" was in both names.
Like "Pizza by Alfredo" vs "Alfredo's Pizza Café"
(I'm not saying she is telling the truth- but I see how the name situation could work out.)
Talk about not knowing where she's gonna go! JJ roasted both of the defendants. Look at her husband; his face is red as hell. This is one of her best episodes. How does she do it!!!
Almost 40 years of experience
Beetroot!
JJ is a genius and I respect anyone who watches this show and acknowledges it.
Her husband was not in court. Maybe you didn't see the other parts.
I have a feeling that the plaintiff and her witness became good friends after this. At least I hope so as they both come across as genuinely nice people. A close life-long friendship would be the very best compensation. And besides, I love when that old adage is proven to be right: Every adversity has the seed of a greater benefit. 👍😊
The witness got a free trip to California so that is always nice)
This case was a movie in itself...pass the popcorn!😂
Oh man, he was so red from embarrassment. JJ IS A SAVAGE
Yeah, that was crazy - he went purple.
I think it was his anger building. I’d hate to be on the ride home with him!
He was enraged. His face is turning red because he has no outlet for his anger while in court. Everybody watch out for your cars!
I bet he wanted to key JJ’s car after she had finished with him !!!!
When JJ had his witness excused, you KNEW what time it was! BEAST MODE ACTIVATED!!!
I love how she recognised the behaviour of the plaintiff's witness. She deserved that recognition, her family must be proud
What an embarrassment. I cannot believe he rationalized such a barbaric decision in his mind.
Edit: Perhaps that's an exaggeration but I find it distasteful that it's politics that pushed to do that. It feels unnecessarily aggressive and childish to say the least.
Scratching a car is barbaric now?
He was a jerk, it isn’t barbaric.
He didn't rationalize a thing. He made an impulsive stupid decision.
@@anacondaadultlearningcente4522 100% barbaric!
If someone will key a car, what else would they do?
Yay! Part 4! She's really grilling the defendants. 😂
It's a sad time we live in when people feel justified to punish others for not agreeing with them.
If I had a Trump sticker on my car in my semi-hipster neighborhood, my car would be keyed, trashed and covered with garbage in three days.
@@poetcomic1 LOL project much? And why pretend? You ARE a MAGA Trump worshipper. Maybe you can visit him in jail if you are not in jail yourself. Criminals apparently are sticking together these days.

Bonnie: we don't really KNOW that was the reason ... 🤔
@@poetcomic1I'm not commenting on Trump or Hilary voters in particular. I think anyone who looks for more than 30 seconds can find an example on either side where someone says they support free speech, but their actions say otherwise.
I felt so bad for Ms. Sharon 😢. You can see how embarrassing and terrified she was. Get rid of him, because he made you lied and humiliated you.
He didn’t make her do anything. This is the mistake we make with those who seem like the submissive one in relationships. She’s a classic enabler. They appear sensible and meek but they attract partners like this guy for a reason. 6.5yrs…you know who you have for a partner. She’s seen what kind of radical political content he consumes to make him feel emboldened to behave this way. She’s heard him express himself around the house about people with different views than himself. I guarantee this isn’t his first time violating someone or someone’s property for being different than him. You can’t change a grown person. They both are toxic together. He’s just bolder and more undisciplined.
The way the tone shifts when she says “It’s not somebody’s job to ask you to lie for them” is masterful.
Edit: I know a few people have already pointed out the ways they lied, but the two that stood out to me are:
1) He said she looked up the movie time around noon, but she said HE looked it up in the morning
2) He said the box office told them they were at the wrong theater, but she said they looked it up on their own outside the theater and found out themselves.
I strongly believe she wasn't there either. He hesitated when asked who he went with
Those incidentals are not enough to find someone guilty. The female defendant did NOT admit to lying. She was simply agreeing with JJ when JJ stated that it's disgusting to lie. The female defendant did not say she was lying. It's all BS.
How low can somebody be to scratch a car because of a bumper sticker . This guy needs therapy😮
I had someone bust my rear window because of it
I hear stories of people losing their minds over Trump stickers, but I rarely do they involve any vandalism. Dude needs to get a life. He lives in the People's Republic of Austin. That CAN'T be the only Hillary sticker in a 2 for radius 😂😂😂
@@Kaboomboo rarely involve vandalism. Good one. Look up Trump signs vandalized, hope you have a free couple of hours. Or vandalized Teslas or Trump hat assaults.
It's a cult. Doubt therapy will help. These people are brainwashed and manipulated and thrive off IQ45'S every lie.
He’s beyond therapy.
I love how JJ acknowledged the plaintiff's witness at the end. It was amazing how this random person went above and beyond to help someone out like that.
Aw I’m so happy the witness got that heartfelt commendation from JJ, very much deserved!
I've watched every single case on this channel, and this one ranks as one of the best. So subtle and complex!
I know he’s even more pissed that the witness was a black woman. People like this are so scary. Imagine what he’d do to her if he caught her alone in the woods if a bumper sticker had him this outraged in broad daylight.
I completely agree that he hated that too and was floored someone would have doubted him. She is one incredible woman: trying to help someone locked out, then being nervous seeing what he actually did and still following through, coming to court for the plaintiff, etc. and I LOVED watching her when he started to lie (oops, I mean testify 😆) up there.
I hope those two ladies went out for drinks to celebrate that win and laugh at that fool.
Incerting racial issues where none exist. Why do you people try to divide us so much? Can't you get past racism and ad see people as human race and not as a color?
It wasn't the sticker. He was probably mad at something she did (equally benign) and he vandalized her car and she's trying to blame it on the sticker. He can't say what he's really mad about because that makes him look retaliatory so he's letting her run with it while maintaining his innocence. But it wasn't over a sticker, this is Austin, TX we're talking about. Like that's the first time he saw that. 😂
@@Kaboomboomaybe maybe not. But you’re right Austin is pretty liberal from what I saw when I visited years ago. Pride flags and all everywhere.
Let’s take the assumptions down a notch. There is literally nothing here that suggests the defendant is racist. Conservative? Yes. A-hole? Yes. Liar? Yes. Racist? No. Part of the problem in our country is how many of us make sweeping generalizations about others simply through their respective political preference. Not all conservatives are racists. Not all liberals view the world through the lens of oppressors versus oppressed.
I never thought that JJ could out-perform herself but I think that has to be the most forensic cross-examination ever. Two small but significant disparities between the testimonies of the defendant and his witness, revealed the defendant to be an incorrigible liar. He had coached the witness well but not with the level of detail that JJ sought out. I hope she took JJs advice and left him, but a bully of his calibre I suspect not.
Also...props to the amazing witness for the plaintiff. Her testimony alone made this a copper-tight case.
“ I’m going to put you out of your misery, stand up now!” 😂😂😂😂😂 omg love her
It warmed my heart to hear thank the witness!!!
Loved that so much !
Honestly, one of the best cases.
She looked them right in the eye and knew they were lying.
He’s sick! I was just in Lisbon, Portugal two weeks ago and the taxi driver told me how much he loved Trump. I told him that I stay out of politics. He then asked was it because I loved Obama. I told him that I stay out of political discussions. People use politics as an excuse to berate one another and its sick
Good on you. It's either exhausting to argue or you just spend the entire time agreeing. 😅
People who live outside of the US that say they love Trump, its usually based on the entertainment factor. Many people also use it as a testing gauge to see where you stand, ideology wise.
Yeah I work with a bunch of Trump supporters, really mean people. I might would've voted for him if his supporters wasn't so hateful
Totally agree,religion too.
@@erickanew I'm a Trump supporter and I don't argue with people who aren't. But you can't place your vote choice on the backs of people who don't have any say in what's done.
The best Judge Judy I have ever seen in my probably over 20 years of viewing. Seriously.
How embarrassing to be with a partner so immature and childish
I wish they posted more episodes like this one. That was a ruthless takedown by JJ.
I love that she separated the defendants so they couldnt hear eachothers stories because she knew from the beginning it was a lie
This is why I would never put any political sticker on my car! I don’t need to publicly share my politics, and there are too many crazies who might react in a negative way!
Exactly! I feel the same way
I agree ,my political views are not shared by a vast majority of the people in my city. They are hard set in their views and I will not be changing their minds and I won’t be changing my opinion either. I have no desire to engage and have a debate in a parking lot .
I had to watch the case a couple times, but now i get it. The witness said that Sharon wasn't even there. She had presented herself as credible so there was no reason not believe her. The guy knew that someone had seen what he had done, so he had to get out of there. They made up the entire story about the "wrong theater." JJ is so much smarter than these defendants, its hilarious to think they they could actually outsmart her.
Judge Judy reigns. She broke that woman down just by asking simple, straightforward questions. In a few more minutes, she would have been crying. Wow that was a thing of beauty.
Over a sticker? Dude needs to grow up! 🤣🤡
They left the theatre because the witness caught him vandalizing and they needed to get out of there fast. The defendant said the girlfriend bought the tickets and the girlfriend said he bought the tickets.
That was SO satisfying!! JJ is a genius the way she handled this case and exposed the defendant & his lying witness. Thank goodness for that good samaritan!
And there we have the master class - wow JJ wiped the floor with him!😂😂😂😂
The lie: they had already purchased tickets in advance. They went to another theater, that somehow didn't have seating although they already had tickets. Second lie: they are unable to say the name of the movie theater that was showing the movie they wanted to see.
Exactly💥He was running from the plaintiffs witness, wanted to get the hell out of their fast..
How was it determines the tickets were pre purchased? I’ve watched this case twice now and all they say is that the looked up movie times, not bought tickets
Also a lie, he said she looked up the movie details, she said he did.
@@anthonykuglov1417 At the end, she said that the seats were full and requested a refund, which means the tickets were already purchased.
@@DaNewf She didn't even remember the name of the other cineplex. He said that she searched the tickets, she said that he searched the tickets. Lived there for over 30 years and got the cineplex wrong? He knew he got busted by the witness and wanted to get out of there fast as hell!
Wish they had posted the exit video. Would love to hear the excuses that child gave. Just a liar and a baby. A man that age acting like a spoiled brat just because of a bumper sticker??! He had no idea he’d get caught. Pathetic individual.
He probably BOLTED out of the courtroom/building afterwards.
The plaintiff's witness is what Albert wasn't counting on. Can you imagine his face when the phone rang & he was asked about keying a vehicle? I'm sure he immediately needed was a change of underwear.
I love that Judge Judy acknowledged the plaintiff's witness at the end. It was very commendable that she not only helped Dianne on the day of the incident but took the time to come to court too.
Loved the ending. JJ making sure she embarrassed the defendants
Woaaah! JJ is so awesome! How did she do it? It's amazing that she immediately asked the defendant's witness to go out. I didn't know why at first. No one can lie to JJ!
Judge Judy was at her brilliant, sparkling best here. She had that guy sussed right from the start.
He’s too old for this smh embarrassing
A lot of adults these days have not grown up yet, unfortunately.
Sharon... Leave that man if you're a logic human. Don't let him drive you through the mud.
Wow! Hat tip to JJ. She maneuvered that masterfully.
This was a master class in judge judy. The way she narrowed it down and went in for the kill - brilliant!!!!

The look on Heisenberg's face when he realized he'd gotten got by Judge Judy was priceless. And Skyler knew she been caught red handed in a lie.
I felt embarrassed on behalf of both of them! As if Judge Judy was asking me, the witness is a wonderful person who contributed to solving the case
Her line of questioning be so on point lmao. She ask the questions so fast that they don’t have time to think. If i heard correctly the lady gave the same theatre name twice 😂
this is the best detective/interrogation case JJ has ever done....brilliant, the woman needs to be director of the FBI.
Oh gosh, i cant even tell you all how many times i watched this. JJ is an absolute genuis.
Damn I was hoping Judge Judy would've went in on that bald bandit 😂
JJ will always catch the liar.
The plaintiff's witness locked eyes with the defendant at about 3:45 pm and watched him all the way until he got into his car, then took down his license plate number. You know she's not lying. Therefore, everything on the other side of the courtroom is a lie, especially the timelines no matter how the defendants conjured it up.
Doesn’t matter what someone has on their car, it doesn’t give you the right to destroy their property.
“You had a bad day” I don’t understand how J.J. determined that she was lying for her man!
She's been in family court long enough to know certain people will bully their spouses into lying for them
After reading all the comments, I now understand!👍
Clearly caught a lie when they both said the other one had looked up the theatre and time. She was also nervous and not very consistent with her answers. Not a practiced liar.
She’s been doing this for 20 30 years
you need rewatch it then maybe ull get it🧐
Solved a case and ended a doomed relationship. Go JJ!
JJ squashed her like a bug. Lying for him was the worst (or the second worst) mistake shes ever made.
What a disgusting creep that man is. He's not so self-assured now, is he?
I'm so glad the witness was able to give a fitting description of him, detail his actions and the fact she Heard him keying the car.
Her evidence was clear, concise, and that she made eye contact with the vandal helped.
Justice Served.
He was so red in the face by the time she got done with the girlfriend 😂
This is probably the worst lashing I’ve ever seen by JJ. That lady wanted to crawl into a hole. Lol 😂
I’m glad she thanked the witness .
When I was younger, I leaned to the left politically. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve leaned more to the right. In both situations, I was always respectful and courteous to people who had different opinions. I will never understand why someone would go out of their way to do this. The beauty of this country is that we all get to express our opinions and beliefs! I wish more people would seek to get to know and understand the other side before pulling stunts like this. Ok I will be the brave one to admit.... I don't get it? 😂 It went completely over my head. Can someone explain how she caught them in a lie? Thanks!
😅 same!
He said she looked up the movie time before they left the house, she said he looked up the movie time. There was also some weirdness with the names of the theaters, who told who what about the movie being at the wrong time etc
That still doesn't prove anything. I'm still confused.
The plaintiff's witness originally stated that the defendent witness was not there
There are several discrepancies, he says she (his gf) looked up the movie times/theater/etc "before noon" that same day, she said he looked up the movie times/theater/etc earlier that morning. She told the police (in the report) that they had "gone to the movies". She attempted to say that as well to judge judy but cought herself and said they got a refund because the theater was full with the only seating being up front so they did NOT actually see the movie (this is clearly where the lie is pointed out). The third possible discrepancy i think is also his bit about it being a clear sunny day because the plaintiffs witness makes a face when he said that that implied to me that it in fact was not (clear and sunny) but that tidbit is a moot point here. I also believe that both the plaintiff and her witness were far more credible than the defendant and his gf. The plaintiff's witness' words were also corroborated by the defendant (eg him walking to the front, them going back to his car and driving off having not seen the movie there) she would have no reason to lie about the scratches. Judge Judy, as always, got it right on it here. The ruling was justice.
Now we in business...GET IN HERE PEOPLE WE GOT ACTION!!!!
JJ!!! ITS THE EYE CONTACT FOR ME!!!! YOU ARE GRILLING THEM WITH NO WORDS I FEEL YO FIRE!
judge judy is so smart…she revealed they rehearsed their story with exact details yet when asked other things, the great memory fades 🎊… this is one of the reasons why i ❤ Judge Judy- and also you wouldn’t forget who looked up the movie if you had such a great memory either-you just wouldn’t -people act different when they are speaking a rehearsal
More like after he vandalized the ladies car immediately they decided to go to a different movie complex to run away from his actions.
I gradually watch the defendants head turned completely red during the girlfriend's questioning 😂😂... gottem
Imagine being so hateful because of different political views.
HE gave people like this a pass to act out what was already inside of them. You know exactly who HE is. 🤢🤮
When I say JJ is a savage this is your proof! Loved this part 4 thriller! 👏🏾
When Judge Judy tells you to break up with someone you break up with them immediately
I liked how Judge Judy thanked the lady for being a good citizen
Even if it was Hillarys car herself, and Hillary was sitting in it, wearing a Hillary hat, eating Hillary chips. You don't walk up to a strangers car a key it! Wtf!
I think the thing that sunk her testimony was the fact that the the plaintiff's witness said that his witness was not the woman that was there. She stated the woman who was there was younger, even referred to them as a young couple. Sure she could be wrong but Sharon doesn't look at all like she's in her 30s. And what stuck out to me was that she said the woman got in the backseat. I could very well be wrong, but i think judge Judy entertained her keeping in mind that the plaintiff's witness who had clear, concise testimony was more believable and that he indeed had her lie for him. If her son was indeed there with a girlfriend at the time, maybe they'd broken up by the time this lawsuit was filed and she was unable/unwilling to testify on his behalf. 🤷♀️
Bingo!!! If Ms Smith was with her son and her partner returning to the car, Ms Smith would have sat up front with her partner and the son would have sat in the back!!!
Great memory, I'd completely forgotten the plaintiff's witness said that.
Wow. That was poetic how she got to the truth. Amazing.
Soooo humiliating! What a goof. Judge Judy is so smart ❤
She’s brilliant.
"If Judge Judy calls you a good citizen, you should be proud of yourself ! “
That boy💥was RED
DESTROYED!!! JJ is GOATED
Did anyone else notice how red his face got when she started to question him? And he kept getting reder & reder... 🤣
Judge Judy asked easy questions where he wouldn't lie to get a baseline and his color and expressions were normal. His face turned red just before he told a lie. He'd do well to stay away from playing poker
What a cliffhanger. She lied because he told her so. Gosh the old JJ still has it.
