That's creepy to take insurance policies out on your grandkids!

Something really wrong with this grandma. The defendant really dodged a bullet by not marrying into this family. Who takes out life insurance policies on their grandchildren? If you wanted your grandkids to benefit you'd take out life insurance policies on your own life!

I will say this, Grandma should have kept herself as beneficiary and added the fiancé as a contingent beneficiary, would have solved all the problems.

The way the young lady said Christopher. Broke my heart. You can tell she was truly in love with him. I hope she is doing well.

Grandma turned out to be exactly how I thought she’d be

This was a small policy meant for funeral expenses. I don’t think the grandma explained her motive for the life insurance clearly. She clearly didn’t do it for her benefit since she transferred it to the girlfriend.

Shame on grandma girl is grieving over loss of her love for her fiancé and instead of being supportive to her you take her to court how low can you be to dishonor his memory 😢

This suit made me so sad. We lost my brother to Covid last year and one of his children has raised all kinds of hell with the family. It’s just horrible that the focus of losing a loved one becomes about money. Heartbreaking.

It’s amazing how money can tear families apart.

My grandmother has always been a firm advocate for ALL forms of insurance policies, especially life. When she was younger, she said it only took 1 time for her to realize the importance of it. A family member passed away and everyone had to scramble to pay for the funeral. She has life insurance on all of our family members. And we're all aware. It's nothing very expensive, but enough to cover funeral costs with maybe a little extra leftover. She has the larger policies out on herself and my grandfather. She made us promise that we wouldnt have extravagant funerals for them and blow the policy money she worked hard to keep and pay for decades.

If you make someone the beneficiary you don't get to decide how they spend the money.

I was a CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) now retired. The fact that, in the USA, people can take out Life Insurance policies on others without their permission or even knowledge, is disgusting. It also means that no underwriting has been made of the life insured other than a couple of simple questions and a "family" relationship. It is WRONG to be able to do this. Just imagine if anyone was able to take out Life Insurance on Politicians etc. There have been numerous cases of large policies being taken out by husbands on wives and visa versa, only for them to kill the spouse for the insurance money. Again, disgusting.

I’m actually surprised the grandmother changed the beneficiary to his fiancé. At least she did that.

Don't think I've ever seen a witness start to walk to the podium on their own without being asked 😆
