The best comedians could always do both, and HAD to do both to get out of the open mic stage of being a comic. Dealing with hecklers is part of the job and always has been, long before Tiktok was ever even an idea. George's personal bitterness just finally caught up to him over the last 15 years which was bound to eventually happen. He hated to see other Latino comedians succeed, openly admitting as much, so once Gabriel Iglesias took his spot in the mainstream media, George never adapted, fell behind and became miserable.

Good for George Lopez for walking off. People need to respect a show and artist. You buy a ticket to seat back and enjoy a live show. It's not your house when you're watching TV. All artists who perform are not being paid to entertain you only. George Lopez is not in your living room at home, where you can converse with him during his act. None comes to your job where you do what you're doing and start disrupting your work environment. That disruption does not allow you to do your work to its best. This video is an excellent example of how to be a better audience for an artist you paid to see.
