    Great video! Really nice editing and outstandingly thorough insights on subjective driving impressions, I love it! Numbers are cool, but feelings are better. I drive an F40 myself, but only a civil diesel one. Good to see even the new "Golf-ish" 1 series has some fun variants.

      The F40 is a great front-wheel drive car with plenty to like regardless of version, even the diesels.

      @@banz92 Yeah, the Carpathians. This particular road isn't in the mountains themselves, but rather in the foothills and it has very little traffic.

  • @emiliospowerballer1441

    What fuel economy did it manage on the highway and town may I ask?

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  Před 2 lety

      My average for the entire time that I had the car was around 13.6 l/100km. On the highway at 130 km/h, it used about 6.3 l/100km. I didn't check the urban consumption, though, but it varies based on driving style and traffic, I guess.

  • @alexandrugrindeanu6583

    How is the suspension? Can you describe it pragmatically. Thanks.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  Před 2 lety +1

      It's as firm as in any modern BMW with sport suspension. It is not as harsh as an actual M car, although I think the 128ti is slightly more stiffly sprung than the all-wheel drive M135i.
      What do you want to know specifically?

    • @alexandrugrindeanu6583
      @alexandrugrindeanu6583 Před 2 lety

      @@OneTireFire thank you for your answer. I am wondering if you can use it as daily basics. I am close on buying one, but I would like to know, how does it feel on the public roads of Bucharest, or on an bumpy road. I would like to replace my 1 series F21, 118D.

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  Před 2 lety

      @@alexandrugrindeanu6583 oh, sure, it’s not too stiff for everyday use. I say go for it if you can live without rear- or all-wheel drive.

      @fahadriaz2915 Před rokem

      @@OneTireFire why? What reason

    • @OneTireFire
      @OneTireFire  Před rokem +2

      @@fahadriaz2915 It's just more fun to drive and lighter on its feet. Even with the all-wheel drive system in the M135i, it still feels like a front-wheel drive car most of the time - its biggest benefit is being able to launch the M135i better off the line than the 128ti and for me that doesn't really matter. The 128ti is better around corners even without AWD, at least in my experience.

    Mild hybrid system?

    • @OneTireFire

      @samuelchopard Před 2 lety

      @samuelchopard Před 2 lety

      @@OneTireFire To be fair, the blue battery thingy next to the RPM is also misleading… when I got mine I also double-checked whether there was a mild hybrid system (but no, it’s just brake energy regeneration for the « normal » battery only). Seems to be a quite common with BMW (it’s my first one).
