Politicians should raise money for their campaign through individual donors. If they don't get enough donations that way, they're probably not popular enough among the people to be elected. This is by far the biggest issue that this country faces. Fix lobbying, and you fix healthcare, you fix the education system, you fix the prison industrial complex, you fix the military industrial complex. @@MBasu-km8by Socialism has nothing to do with taking money from workers and giving it to non-productive people. That would be capitalism, where the bourgeoisie force labourers to give up a portion of their work to the capital owner. They can do that because of some abstract idea of "property rights", which are enforced by the police and military. Without access to the means of production, most workers can not produce. So they have to give in to the property owners and work for them to gain that access.
      All socialism is, is any system, any system at all, where the workers own/control the means of production, transportation, and expropriation. This prevents an upper class from existing, or being able to exploit the workers. Finally, the workers would be able to do with their wealth as they please.
      If you hate the government, consider libertarian socialism. The government sucks not because government is destined to suck, but because its run by corruption and bourgeoisie interests. The government of the Soviet Union and other supposedly socialist countries sucked because they were run by entrenched and corrupt bureaucrats. To end corruption, the workers need to be the sole runners of society.

      Why does Islam attract more converts than any other religion? One major reason is Islam says: "refugees welcome" to those fleeing failing liberal social and religious institutions.
      Let me explain.
      Liberal secularists promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal.
      Nevertheless, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by liberal secular norms, people stop marrying, having children, and practicing religion.
      Put differently, the liberal is fundamentally a hypocrite - despite what he or she might say, no liberal person is actually interested in being part of a liberal marriage, a liberal family, or a liberal religion.
      Matters are different when it comes to Islam.
      Muslims also promote the idea that their norms for regulating marriage, family, and religion are ideal.
      Moreover, statistical data indicates that wherever a society is governed by Islamic norms, it boosts marriage, birth rate, and religious practice.
      Put differently, the Muslim is actually interested in being part of a Muslim marriage, a Muslim family, and the Muslim religion.
      The current era is an era of refugees fleeing from liberalism. Liberal marriage, family, and religion have collapsed.
      As a result, refugees from liberal societies seek marriage partners abroad, and if they practice any type of religion - it is a non-liberal version whose centers are located abroad. Islam is the most obvious choice for them.

    Is it really surprising when you consider America was founded not by farmers or common people but by Merchants/Business Owners?

    • @ufodeath
      @ufodeath Před 5 lety +70

      It is not surprising and you are completely right. States throughout history were created to maintain a particular class interest as dominant within Society against the interest of the Working Class or common folk in Society. Just as ancient Slave States, Feudal States, and Colonial Nation-States, these states increasingly concentrate power, just to uphold the dominate class in their Society: Slave Masters, Feudal Lords and kings, a wealthy aristocracy descended from the medieval Feudal Lords. Now that the Capitalist have had their bourgeois revolutions in Europe and the Americas, and created States that serves their particular class interest, power has increasingly become concentrated within these Bourgeois states just so that they can continue to maintain their power within society against the interest of the people. History does not progress in a linear fashion, but it progresses none-the-less. It always seems that when Class Society has concentrated an enormous amount of power to the State Apparatus in order to uphold class society, it either collapses or becomes over-thrown by revolutions.
      The time of the Working Class to overthrow Bourgeois States is already nigh, over-due in fact, and we must build organizations that can get the Working Class educated about how the State and Class Society serve each other just as much today as in any moment in History. By creating an Educated and Organized body of the Working Class that slowly builds its strength up through further education and organization, we can eventually expect to overthrow bourgeois states and build Workers States that can stand their own against the remnant powers of the Bourgeois States. When all Bourgeois States are abolished, eventually after a long process of peaceful and mutually beneficial development across all the Proletarian style Democracies of the world, humanity can build up the means for the people to achieve the ultimate liberation - in the form of a Stateless, Classless and Moneyless society globally, with no bourgeois states to threaten the emergence of this final form of human civilization.

    1. Rich donors gravitate towards people that they determine are the most likely to win, simply having more donors (indicated in almost all studies as the 'preference' of the donor class) isn't direct evidence that they win BECAUSE of those donations.
    2. Several studies have shown that political advertisements have low effect on public opinion.
    3. No studies take into account actual voter turnout and the voting behavior of citizens. People in a two-party system often vote on habit, rather than taking a good look at platforms and voting records, as they should be.
    The problem is lack of ranked-choice voting and an apathetic voter base - a voter base whose attitude is driven by people consistently telling them that their vote does not count.

Unfortunately, this very same competitive nature can backfire when left unchecked, as you mentioned.
      Everything in moderation.
      In my opinion, it's the best system we've got right now. Sadly, there isn't a single system of governance I know of that I would be able to trust with total control of the economy. Yeah, it's not like in a libertarian world the rich totally could not buy the same power the goverment already has (AKA, monopoly of violence), and use it to craeate their own little monopolistic areas through brute force... Oh right, that's EXACTLY how monarchy got born and devolved into a goverment too, not to mention, THAT'S EXACTLY how drug cartels work.
      The problem isn't just in the fact that we allow a goverment to exist, but that we allow other people to profit from other people's work, and become umbalancedly rich, therefore granting them an even larger upperhand over everybody else to exploit and manipulate the weak.
      I mean, c'mon, you people can't be naive enough to believe political power is the only kind there could be, economical power is far more threatening as it can buy its way into almost any other kind of power (for example, it can be used to buy democratic power by manipulating the masses through mass media).
      The only real reason we allow the capitalistic exploitation of other people's workforce, it's because we all dream to one day be one of those rich persons, part of the one 1%, and enjoy whatever luxury we dream off at the expense of others.
      The problem tho, is that it is conceptually impposible for the 1% to be any bigger no matter how rich the country, it will always be the 1% of the population, and while miniscule few will fall from the 1% while others rise to it, the truth is that the 99% allow the 1& to take most of the profit that comes from their own workforce, just to feed that fake dream of becoming a 1% themselves.
      Why is it a fake dream if some have achieve it? because even if YOU do manage to join them, you just became part of a 1%, while the 99% continue to dream about it and will never achieve it. And sadly, it's already been known that the 1% holds 50% of the world's FINITE resources, while WE, the 99%, scramble to survive on the scraps left of the other 50%.
      Basically, if you abolish both representative forms of goverment, and ANY system that allows any sort acumulation and centralization of any type of power (being economical power the biggest ofender in modern society, but in the past it was militaristic power), and make a point to create a decently educated AND active society, there's no type of corruption or oppresion that could possible stop you from achieving the kind of lifestyle you as an individual can possible reach.

    Let me tell you a secret: in countries where this kind of lobbying is illegal, it happens anyway. Powerful and rich companies will try to influence the government decisions, no matter what the law says, because when it comes to piles of money... it’s still worth trying.

    • @nobody_expects_me
      @nobody_expects_me Před 9 měsíci +2

      Yeah, because in those countries law doesn't matter that much. However, in the US and other richer countries, it is quite important, and such companies can't just ignore it. Instead, they change the law instead. If we make lobbying illegal, you would be able to go to court with that said company, and over time you would finally succeed to win one case, win another and another until we eradicate it.

      @Dinan5iver2 Před 4 lety

      The National Debt is nothing more than the accumulated spending of the Federal Government from the time of the nation’s founding that hasn’t been extinguished (cancelled out) via taxation. By accounting identity one party’s SPENDING is another party’s INCOME. The US is a sovereign currency issuing nation, meaning that it issues a non-convertible currency with a floating exchange rate, backed by the full faith and credit of the US Government alone. Furthermore, the US owes no debt in foreign currency which it does not issue thus it can NEVER be forced into involuntary default. US Government spending CREATES new currency. Taxation at the federal level creates DEMAND for the currency as it is the ONLY means by which a citizen may satisfy their tax obligation. Unlike the Federal Government which ISSUES the currency, households, firms, states, and municipalities are USERS of the currency and must first generate revenue, borrow, or sell an asset before they may spend. Federal deficit spending is OUR INCOME. A federal surplus REVERSES this pattern given that we (the private sector) run consistent trade deficits with the foreign sector. The sectorial balance between the three sectors of the economy (government, private, foreign) holds that all three cannot simultaneously run surpluses so if any one of them are in surplus then by accounting identity at least one of them must be in deficit (remember: one party’s spending is the income of another party). If the Federal Government runs a surplus by increasing its revenue (taxes and fees) then unless the private sector runs a trade surplus with the foreign sector it will find itself in deficit leading inevitably to recession. This is why it is preferable that the Federal Government, the currency issuer, run deficits nearly all of the time. This way the private sector AND the foreign sector may stay in surplus and derive an income.

    This is an example of corruption in the court system on a state level. I beat my case though and it didnt ruin my life but if I had lost, It definetly would have been hard to get past.

    Citizens who decide to take there criminal cases to trial for the purpose of proving there innocents are sometimes exposed to judges and prosecutors collaborating for the purpose of creating a guilty verdict. I believe that,
    part of the oath that a judge takes says that they are to remain neutral in the court room.

    *At my jury trial in Hamilton County IN, back in 2010. Not only did this not happen but after final arguements were presented by both, my defense attorney ( Lawrence M. Hansen ) and the D.A.*

    *When the judge ( Gail Z Bardach ) gave the jury there instructions for jury deliberation,
    She added a new charge to my case for the jury to deliberate on. She practically took part of my defense and made a new charge out of it and this was after final agruements. I think what she did would have been illegal even if it had happen before closing arguements but the fact that she did this during the jury instuctions for deliberating innocent or guilty on each individual charge.
    Well thats beyond illegal, that's straight up corruption.*
    *Also at the beginning of the trial during jury selection. One of the citizens who was called in to possibly be selected as a jury member was a bar tender from the very same bar that called the police on me in the case that I was taking to trial. My lawyer had the bar tender removed but outta around 330,000 residents in Hamilton County Indiana, I find it very suspicious that one of the 20 or so citizens that were selected to come in for jury duty on my case was a bar tender from the bar that called the law on me in the very case that I was fighting against.*

    My lawer was : Lawrence M. Hansen ( 317 ) 219-3600 , 152 S. 9th street Noblesville, IN 46060
    The Judge was : Gail Z. Bardach ( Hamilton County Indiana )

    Great videos that break down the deliberate obfuscation of current political system and lay bare the epidemic of corruption that's threatening to overwhelm us all.

    1000%, please share this everywhere. People need to know this. For all the culture wars, we've made almost no progress against the core real issue here.

    The solution is really simple: give the government less power

      Or like don't let the companies interfere with the government in the first place. That would work

    This was what George Carlin was talking about people. We have no rights, no say. Just an allusion we are supposed to just follow blindly

      Corporations don't elect the politicians. We do. People follow blindly because they believe they have no rights or no say. There's plenty an individual can do, but that takes work and we can lazily blame it on corporations so that society is the helpless victim. People have the power, they just don't it, because it requires time and effort.
