Why is this movement not more popular?? if 80 to 90% of all political groups like this idea, why is it struggling to even get the word out let alone get anything done. don't get me wrong, I think all these ideas are great, but I just don't understand why it isn't getting more traction with the American people

The US government was founded as a republic. It is my understanding that a democracy assigns the highest power to the people and in contrast, a republic assigns the highest power to the constitution. In a full-on democracy, the people can be fooled by smooth talking politicians to vote away their own rights. A republic prevents this, while still being very similar to and operating in many ways like a democracy. A pure democracy can lead to a "mob rules" mentality resulting in individual rights becoming nonexistent. So, the bill of rights was added to the constitution to affirm individual rights are protected, and that each individual person possesses these rights. I believe it's more accurate to say that our government is a constitutional republic that embraces democratic values. Here's an over-the-top example. Let's say that a Utah politician proposes for a ballot measure to create a law in Utah called the "Religion unification act" which mandates that only Mormonism can be practiced in the state of Utah. The people vote, and it passes by 51% of the votes. This fictional "Religion unification act" which was voted into law is unconstitutional, and would be struck down by the SCOTUS as a violation of the 1st amendment, as it violates the individual right to practice any religion an individual may choose to be a part of. And remember the constitution holds the highest power in a republic, the people come second. In this case, a constitutional republic prevails where a pure democracy fails.

Also, it's interesting to note that the top 10 countries in the Global Democracy Ranking at 2:39 all use some form of Proportional Representation to create a multi-party system. As these represent a bigger percentage of the population, they are clearly more democratic than a two-party system that excludes Libertarians, Greens, and many other ideologies as well as marginalizing women and religious and ethnic minorities.

I like you guys and what you stand for, but I have to point out that at a glance, that chart seems to suggest that only four legislators are outperforming the market. No? Four out of how many between the house and Senate? That would be a low percentage and probably within normal variance for someone as fickle as investing. There are SOME rare people who simply are good at investing without being corrupt. So you'll need to either do a better job at showing us how you are parsing this data, make your point much clearer, or focus on a different one if your proposals for reform.
