The Grand National with the least amount of miles on it is the last GN to come off the line on December 11th, 1987. That car only seen the outside for delivery, after that a room in the house was built for the car and it still has all the factory markings on it.

If I had the money to burn, I would buy this and bring it to Honolulu, HI. I had a 1984. Not as much HP, and the 87 had the nicer all black grill, instead of the Chrome strip in the top with the Buick logo. But my 1984 had a much nicer interior. Interior roof pillar, upper sections we're a lighter grey, and instead of those cheap looking plain seats, I had the Recaro like Lear Siegler adjustable bucket seats in tuftted sand grey, with dark grey leather inner seat surfaces and the embroidered Turbo 6 logos. Under the hood, it had braded stainless steel hose over the turbocharger pipes that 2 people instinctively touched, trying to squeeze when hot before I could warn them, thinking it was like a radiator hose. Lol Also, only the 84 had a chrome and black enamel retangular emblem on the top of the ignition coil that read, Sequential Fuel Injection.
Yes, not fast by today's satndards, especially the 1984/85 non intercooled models, but it could seriously smoke the tires for about 50', and I totally dusted a 454 1974 Pontiac T/A at a red light when it was pretty new. Military guys that wanted to know how fast it was. With the low gearing, I was gone before that V8 could get to it's peak power.
It was an awesome cruising vehicle. Other than wheel locks, a locking gas cap, clear license plate covers and black metal frames, I would try to keep this GN as original as possible. If it were notsuch a documented collectirs car, I would replace the retractable radio antenna with a FM black fixed mast one, like on the Chevy Monte Carlo SS, custom gas and brake pedals, legal ceramic smoke tint windows, remove the 3.8L S.F.I. Turbo emblems from the hood bukge for a smoother look, stock configuration aftermarket exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, it the Stainless Steel Borla exhaust made for this car with the fancy intercooled exhaust tips, most of the GN aftermarket dress up options that didn't hack or alter the car, and the aftermarket suspension mods like the graphite polyurethane suspension bushings, Gikstrad engineering suspension hop ups, with a GNX like differential finned aluminum rear cover and traction bar assembly, if I could still have them, and underhood and behind the rear seat chassis braces and parts from Kenne Bell. If I could find them. Also, the Crystalite Engineering side body skirts like the IROC-Z Camaros, and the clear Extand curved headlight covers.
Also nice chrome anti theft inner door lock shafts on the tops of the doors, and BUICK block letter exterior door handle inserts like I had on my GN.
If you had a GN back then, and was up on what was available then, you would know what I was talking about. We even had a GN car club in Hawaii and would go in cruises with about 30 GNs, and 2 GNXs. I had the only 2984, and there were I think 2 1985 GNs. In our group. Most all if the GN owners here joined the club back then.

It's a nice car, my brother in law had a T Type, fast, but this is faster, not a big80s guy, but if I was buying 80s I'll take one of these, and a Lincoln MK VII please, cause that's what I had then,

T-Types were exactly as fast... exactly the same drive-train. I owned 2 Grand Nationals and 2 T-Types. Just the trim and paint were different. I chose the white T-Type with blue cloth bench seats and a column shift to get into the 10's with bolt-ons. Definitely fast.

It did not have the front air dams. Hid dad worked at a Cadillac dealership, he said someone ordered it like this, wanted the look not the speed! I have never seen another one like it. Ive seen them with black paint but always have the chrome bumpers. Pretty cool car just thought id share!
