    This is my in depth review of the Manfrotto Befree GT Tripod. If you are looking for a new tripod you should definitely watch this video on the Manfrotto Befree GT Tripod. The Manfrotto Befree GT Tripod won't completely break the bank but is extremely capable.

    Which kind of levelling base did you purchase for your tripod?

    Hi great review. One question please. My equipment (EOS R and occasional RF 600mm) weighs around 4lb/1.86kg. Based on 55' tripod height without the centre extended I think I would need around 8" of the centre section extended for shooting comfort. How stable do you think that would be?

      I’ve had good results with it and I’ve used my Nikon d810 with the tamron 70-200 lens without a problem but at 600mm the smallest shakes could introduce blur. I don’t think I could definitively tell you it’ll work for your situation. Good luck and let me know how things work out

    Hello! So does central column can be reversed vertically for 180 angle? Or it can be only in horizontal position? Thank you
    Cause for me it's important for shooting topdown videos

    • @poutineitup9510
      @poutineitup9510  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ve never had to do that. The central column does complete out there I did by mistake once so you may be able to do it. I would just suggest putting the column side ways and point downwards. That is what I would do

    I'm looking to change out the ballhead for astrophotography attachments. Does that head come off?

    Regarding the latches or "knobs" it's more about a personal thing. I've used Manfrotto tripods for over 30 years with latches and twisting knobs and never had a problem with latches or collapsing legs. Every latch can be adjusted/tighten with a screw individually if they get loose. Latches are also easier to clean if sand, dust or saltwater gets inside. I only see benefits. Twisting knobs looks better, are more integrated and slimmer but not necessary better in action.

      @poutineitup9510  Před 2 lety +1

      I just have only had cheap latch legged tripods before that couldn’t be adjusted and tightened. Thank you very much for your input!! Good to know :)

    Is the the arca-swiss replacement base compatible with smaller arca-swiss plates or only with dual plates?

    • @poutineitup9510
      @poutineitup9510  Před 2 lety

      I can’t be for sure. I don’t have a smaller plate to test it. Being arcs Swiss standard I would hope so

    Quick question. I have the manfrotto gtx pro tripod, is it possible to attach the befree live head to it, so it becomes compatible for shooting video?

    • @poutineitup9510
      @poutineitup9510  Před rokem +1

      Good question. I ended up actually removing the tripod head and using a more heavy duty one I had purchased about 10 years ago. The tripod legs use a standard screw on top to attach a tripod head so it probably won’t be a problem to transfer the befree live head to the gtx pro tripod.
      Also I wanted to add that the befree tripod head is a good tripod head. I swapped out the top of the head so I could use arca Swiss plates with it. I just got used to my super heavy duty one from years earlier

      @@poutineitup9510 that's fantastic! there very expensive, if I catch a good deal I'll try to snap one up. What's your thoughts on the manfrotto gtx pro tripod?
      Any good recommendations on par with the beefree live head you would advise checking out?
      Also if the head was transferred does that make it the same as the beefree live or is there differences apart from the heads?
      Thanks

      @@purificationdetoxification7122 thanks so much!! I’ve never used the gtx pro so I can’t compare. This is my first manfrotto tripod. My my previous tripods were cheapo ones. I am definitely not disappointed with my tripod. I use it in photoshoot a every time I go out

    I like to have camera and tripod with me while mountain biking, but this one is way too wide, big to get in a backpack. I have a Peak Design Travel tripod, but now I need a proper head.

      For bike riding i would imagine this tripod is way too big and heavy. I like tripod head that comes with this tripod and it is removable if you can attach it to the peak design tripod head. A solid head that doesn't sag is pretty key for tripods. A long time ago i spent $100 on a really heavy duty tripod head and it has never failed me.
