Spidops:
Good moves:
Silk trap: protects itself and slows down opponents
Sticky web: slows down the team when being switched out
Circle throw: swaps in opponents but uses it after the enemy uses its move
Smitter Smack
Dark type attacks
Throat Chop: attacks the opponent to block sound based moves!
Spidops was pretty useful on my Scarlet team for a while. Got me out of some tough spots. Also, its Shiny coloring makes me think of Spider-Man.
Honestly, I'd just give Spidos an evolution. Maybe have a final stage be Bug/Ghost type, that it could evolve into maybe when leveled up while knowing Sticky Web (learned at Level 33)
It's based on the Ogre-faced spider. Which is terrifying, why not Bug/Dark.
Because Lokix is already bug/dark and Lokix is significantly better than Spidops.
See, I actually use Spidops in VGC and it's actually pretty interesting. It has surprise value, and then it actually tanks hits from the biggest threats in the format. Then between spread String Shot, its speed-lowering protect, and moves like Skitter Smack, Sucker Punch, etc just add to its kit.
It needs an evolution
I do like the shiny. If it was more red, then it's perfect for a web slinging wall crawler, I hope it'll get an evolution cause I also feel like it's incomplete
It not only feels, it basically looks like a middle evolution. I know it's supposed to be the Raticate of the gen, but even Raticate has higher stats.
I used it in-game and it was ok. Leech life is a good move for both damage and sustain, it's bulk is solid, and it gets Sticky Web, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes which are powerful in some of thr tougher battles.
I always felt Spidops didn't feel complete (design wise) but with a better stat distribution and new secondary typing I would feel more confident using it for further late game. I wish the pink on Spidops shiny would've been red since it would make it a discount spider man.
Spidops... A spy... Psy ops... 404 BST because it's a spy, so it's not found...

I liked what you had to say for improving Spidops. Here's some ideas of what I'd do/add to it:
For typing, I'd consider making Spidops into a Bug/Normal, Bug/Ghost(like you did), or Bug/Dark.
For abilities, I'd consider giving it either Prankster, Technician, Inner Focus, Arena Trap, Tinted Lens, Compound Eyes, Frisk(in case competitive players would like it), or Infiltrator.
-I liked your idea for Bulletproof, as it was clever and unique.
Below are moves that I'd consider giving it(especially depending on if it receives a type change).
-Physical moves:
Seismic Toss, Shadow Sneak, Phantom Force, Poltergeist, Astonish(low-level move), Fury Cutter, Foul Play, Knock Off, Payback, Night Slash, and Fake Out
-Special moves:
Infestation(like you did), Night Shade, Mirror Coat, Shadow Ball, Hex, and Pollen Puff
-Status moves:
Toxic, Destiny Bond, Confuse Ray, Curse, Rage Powder, Spider Web(I know it has Block, but it would make sense), Acupressure, Reflect, Light Screen, Safeguard, Hone Claws, Swords Dance, and Switcheroo
For me being a stealthy and able to cover tracks doesn't mean ghost.
Spidops looks like a Futurama robot. I don't know why nobody else says it.
Those buffs would be pretty cool. Bug type is arguably my favorite type of Pokemon. Always good to see a bug type video go up online.
I was pretty surprised to find out Mexican Spider Man ain't good (the name's from the honest game trailer for those who don't know)
To be fair silk trap is actually pretty useful combined with sticky web. If he had about 30 extra base speed and regenerator he would probably have a use.
I’ll be honest, while I vastly prefer Lokix, I’m probably one of the few people who like Spidops’ design; definitely not the best, i’ve heard people call it “made of pipe cleaners”, but it makes sense since ogre spiders legs look like tubes. I think they could’ve added more to the ogre aesthetic, but I still like it.
Plus, I feel that not enough people acknowledge how its shiny is virtually Spider-Man.
It would be if it wasn’t pink instead of red like Tarountula.

Spidops is a monster in competitive singles, carried me to master ball rank and onwards with the moveset Silk Trap, Sticky Web, Spikes and Circle Throw with wide lens equipped.
I think what you did for Spidops here is solid, and it makes it more viable in battle. Quick question, by the way. What program do you use to make those edits to stats?
This series gave me an idea to a similar one: what if X had a mega evolution. each time choosing a pokemon (probably weak or mediocre at best) and giving it exactly 100 base stat total boost, spreading it accordingly and discussing new ability or typing it might get. could be pretty interesting
so a ghost pokemon immune to one of the most common ghost special attack is strong but an ability that is more focus around trapping it's opponent would fit better.
I love spidops face, gives me a militant mask vibe. Like ghost from MW2
I do like the design and love the shiny. I wanted to use it but was so disappointed in it. I used the bug from SWSH don't remember its name lol

I think the Ghost and Bug type is a good type combination and hope we get a psuodo legendary Pokemon with that typing.

Another point I can give for Spidops being Ghost type is it’s head. I dunno about you but it kind of looks like a skull to me. Just look at those soulless eyes.
I actually really like the design of Spidops. Wished it was better so I could actually use it.
Luxray being considered a worse Pokémon according to smogon tier than spidops is weird
Well stakeout works with it's fighting type move it learns forgot it's name but it is basically damaging roar or whirlwind but yea it needed better stats. I'd make it's ho higher with it's defenses and attack lower it's special and some speed so it cane be a tank status
New ability an improvement. New typing Bug/Ghost an improvement. The move pool works with Infestastion and Shadow Sneak. What doesn't work that I think needs to change is the stat spread. Base 35 speed is horrible. Spidops doesn't need 52 base special attack. It is not a mixed attacker. Just swap the stats from its Special Attack to Speed. Subtract two points with its defense and hp to put it in its speed stat.
It does Have on the Coolest Bug Type Designs
Spidops isn’t all that bad seeing as it was the third carrier of my team. Mostly because it can learn moves various moves so it can be super effective against a wider variety of Pokémon especially that it can learn dark type moves make it even more stronger against other typings. So I think just by its stats and ability isn’t that well but the move set that you can get kinda helps out alto. Especially is it learns rock tomb for some fire type resistance.(which mine can seemingly handle well.
The new stats looks like Spiritomb's one just switch the sp.att with the HPs and it's almost the same
At first I didn't like him. But he grew on me. Like watching him creep around in the overworld is great. Like he legitimately creeps like a spy around the area.

I found his shiny on the first route in the prelude of the game
I’ve used Spidops in the Endgame tournament quite a lot. Of course other real players will destroy it, but the NPC trainers struggle with it. My Spidops has insomnia, 4Spd, 252 def, and 252 hp, It has a bold nature. Sticky web, circle throw, toxic spikes, and spikes. And has a ghost Tera type. It has been able to stall and take down three Pokémon of the NPC teams at max. And usually is able to take down one with ease or at least damage the others pretty badly. But that is only against the NPCs. Again other players would just destroy it.

I love bug pokemon cause they are so hated and I love spidops souch that it was on my final team. To me it held up well
The only reason most of them are hated is cause they're weak in stats or movepools. Except for a few pokemon.
Truly, upgrading bugs for pokemon games is necessary, at best, volcanoes is on my team roster, where's trapinch by the way?...

Grass types are fine as they are. The one that needs the most improvement bar none is the Ice type.
