  • I show you my step-by-step gray hair root coverage technique that takes just 10 minutes using Schwarzkopf Igora Color10! All formulas included, including a Color10 color chart.
Why its great in the SALON:
Gray root maintenance is a constant, time consuming, and expensive battle for clients in the chair. This is a fantastic technique for speeding up gray coverage services. They can get in and out, and you can book more services. When you are doing highlights, but need grey coverage at the same time, this technique removes the need to highlight over your root color, and eliminates the risk of hot roots/ You can now cover grays and complete your highlight service in two hours instead of three, saving you a full hour of time!
    Why its great at HOME:
This is an easy service for people who want to take on some of their own hair color maintenance . If you are in the salon every few weeks for gray root coverage, mastering this technique could save you hundreds of dollars per year. It's also great for people who are at-risk or immune compromised who are not comfortable being in the salon during the pandemic, and are seeking at-home beauty options.

This is so amazing. And I'm so excited about your gray series! I have a question if anyone wants to share. I have clients that have 40% gray, mostly in the front, and then sprinkled throughout. These same clients are wanting the balayage, lived in look. My question is do you cover the gray first, wash, dry and start your balayage process, OR do you balayage the hair, and then got back in with color and cover the gray between the foils etc? I get there a few way to do this, I just love learning how the best outcome has been for everyone.
The color you used is so perfect!! I'm excited to try it. Thanks again!

Hi, Danielle. I have permanently colored hair with new growth with about 30% gray. If I want to change the shade of my hair (same level), how long do I leave on roots before pulling through the already colored hair? The processing time, according to Redken, is 35 minutes. Would be so grateful for your advice!

Also, if you're doing this yourself at home it's a lot easier to do vertical feeling in the back so instead of going horizontal side to side, You part your hair vertically. A lot less clipping and you don't have to worry about hair falling down where you're coloring . Much easier and really good results.

    Hi Daniella,
Thanks for your video and its very clear and simple to understand.
If my hair is dark asian hair and want to cover the white root, color 3-0 is suitable?
I used to buy some hair color product and it's not lasting. If i use some hair product with oil, the color will be easily fade away.
Does this Schwarzkopf Igora set can help this problem? And will it damage my hair?
    Thanks alot

I love this hair color and was looking for a new shade for my light/medium auburn hair. I recently found out that Schwarzkopf while not testing on animals themselves still uses tests done in China, sadly they do test on animals. I'll keep using it, but hope that they along with other companies will keep putting pressure on China to stop the practice. :(

I tried it but was not a fan of the dullness. It does not appear as shinny as Igora Royal. Time wise yes it's fast but it just comes out cheap looking for my taste. I also tried the Igora Absolutes that already come with color. 7-460 beige muted gold & 7-60 medium blonde chocolate natural just for kicks. The 7-60 I guess because it is just a solid color more toward the 7 red colored the grey but had more of a sparkle red in the sun. It'd say it was more vibrant. The 7-460 as more muted. I'm going to try others. Still trying to hit that perfect chocolate formula for my natural level 3 brunettes to take them to a dark expensive chocolate with a light of shine and virbrance. If you have any tips pls share! Thanks

I have areas of extreme stubborn grey and other areas with sparser grey and the less grey areas end up too dark but I need the stronger strength to cover the stubborn greys, should I mix up 2 separate batches and use depending on amount of grey?
    Thanking you

You could try that method but if it doesn't look even I would use the 00 for gray coverage but 1 level lighter!

Is this perm or a semi perm colour ?

Permanent (who would temporarily want to cover their grow out?)

@@dynamicskys1 yes, and you would have to dye the regrowth about every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. Usually when you have a centimeter of grey roots showing.

Why the highlighted hair didn't pick up the dark pigment?!!!!!!!
