You can understand where Gamera is going through, gyaos are running around all over the planet, he's constantly fighting and chasing them for three years at this point after fighting legion of course he's gonna be a bit aggressive and not notice a bunch of humans while he's doing his business. It makes more sense than what happened in the Zack Snyder DC universe
Brutally good Kaiju scene, the Tokusatsu in this film is a chefs kiss. Still my favorite design of Gamera, particularly the smoking breath and the alligator snapping turtle design.

I think when Gamera killed the wounded Gyaos it was the merciful death. That gyaos would have died from his wounds later in ceaseless agony had Gamera not finished the fight
Considering Gyaos destroyed Gamera’s creators and killed Gyaos without hesitation in GOTU I doubt it was out of mercy

Although I don't think the Heisei Gamera films are very good especially in terms of it's monster scenes or plot, the special effects in Revenge of Iris are definitely something to behold.

I have had my criticisms of the Heisei Gamera films for years now.
And I find it surprising how basically no one acknowledges the major flaws of these films, yet become critics for films they don't like.
