  • Move more, sit less.
    Here are some easy ways to move more, sit less-
    1. For every 30 mins of sitting, stand at least for 3 mins
    2. When you stand, stand with your weight well distributed on your two feet
    3. Take the stairs at work or home, everyday. At least climb 4 floors up everyday
    4. Park your car as far as possible, keep atleast 500 steps between your car and your destination. Paris btw is banning cars from the city by 2030
    5. Once every week, walk around your neighbourhood or walk your child to school/ park/ friend’s house/ restaurant, etc. Walking is good not just as an activity, but also at building strong community bonds and for the environment
    6. Once every week, do atleast one task that is currently being done by house help or gadget - wash your own clothes, do dishes for the entire household, sweep and swab your house
    7. If you are a man, cook a meal and/or clean up after the family has eaten at least once a week. You can make just dal rice or khichdi but building a nurturing environment is crucial for good health too.
    8. 100 steps or shatapavli after dinner
    You may not realise the importance of movement and activity but it keeps the brain plasticity, especially in older adults, helps prevent back pain, diabetes, heart disease and even depression. Move now, leave sitting for the lesser and later.
    And remember, activity is different from exercise, and is not a substitute.

    I keep on walking the whole day at my home. Like I walk atleast 4-5 hours a day. During evening I do brisk walk for an hour more outside my home together with 15 minutes of HIIT. Also include 40-45 minutes of yog + pranayaam in the morning, empty stomach.
    PS - I am a 35 years old working professional , working from home for last 4-5 years.

    I want to express my gratitude, I am just following some of your suggestions.
    I just added following things to my diet from last three months
    01. Black Kissimmee
    02. Almond
    03. Curd.
    04. A fruit
    05. Falxseed.
    Even though my weight still the same, now a days I feel, as if I am walking on cloud, feel so light.-Thank you ❤

I understand that you’re on CZcams not for the money but for the sole reason of spreading awareness and do good for the society but the proceeds received by monetising the channel can support a good cause and can be put to good use.       Thank you for the question. Us from Team Rujuta Diwekar, we firmly believe that hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism can be regulated very well by the consumption of healthy fibre like millets. Do not forget to accompany the Millets with addition of Dahi/peanut chutney etc.
