What I got from this video .. and thanks for making it ... is that you should pick a "niche" and make high quality books and then be patient and understand it takes time, but once people find them they will sell and it will be worth the time you spent to research and create quality books for folks that they will enjoy and be happy to buy!

Hi just found your channel. And already subscribed. Can you just help me. I am really confused. I want to publish children's books. Do you think publishing this as an ebook will be profitable?? Or should I go with paperback ?
Great video - ty. Just starting my KDP journey. Did you start this pen name with the 380 books, or did you add them over time? Would be interested to know roughly the number of books over time
This was over time. But we do like working in batches often.
Quite encouraging I suppose. I have one 30,000 word book, and one 12,000 one.
I sold the first book from Jan-Feb but think I panicked and turned off ads after Feb and it died. I'm relaunching that book along with this newer book and I have a bit more realistic expectations now I now the process and I'm setting a small goal of $100 in one month for now as I currently am on $10-$15 with the dead book and pre-Ads on the second.
Ya that's a good goal. One you hit that make the next goal and just keep going higher and higher one tiny step at a time 🙂

Great video! Can l ask so if you do a great unique interior, dont you do w few covers for that interior ? Or only only cover an one interior , also wanted to ask do you have any video on how to find winning niches ? or ever green ones

May I ask how many books did you publish in the first 6 months that made you 1k? And how many books do you publish every week now?
First 6 months I don't remember how many now but not many. At the time we were also doing a lot of FBA. If you are trying to see how many books you need to make $1,000, then that will depend. You could do it with one book many times over, especially if you run ads. If you don't run any ads, maybe to be realistic think with doing 400 low / medium content books. But all depends on your niche research and book making. Everyone's journey will be different.

How do you find/research evergreen niches? I have asked for reviews from my clients, 1 person said Amazon told her she had to spend $50 first?
I have made 2 videos covering hoe to find niches on this channel. I think those will help you. You don't need reviews to start. We don't.
I want to self publish but I’m so confused on how to do it as far as getting it designed etc. I also bought scrivener but got a little sidetracked down the Lear big rabbit hole.
Ya designing can be the challenging part sometimes. Usually my wife and I outsource that. Maybe that's an option for you too?
How many BOOKS did you have those first 6 months where you made your first $1000? Did you publish ALL those 346 books at once with that pen name, or what exactly? You weren't too clear in that regard. But thank you for your instruction.
We published one at a time. Not all at once

@@mellowmoods8393 so first we reached a lot of different niches, then between Cleo, myself and our designer then made the books and uploaded them.

@@SelfPublishingTitans It might be talked about before but really when to optimize etc. Is an Ad spend of $16 enough to get data, should you wait until you spend $50.
Is a $16 spend in two weeks too low, should it be higher. Is 28 clicks with no sales enough to know your listing needs changing, or should you wait for 100 clicks with no sales.
Some general guidelines on stuff like that as its a little confusing to know when to optimize and see what needs to be optimised.

In 2022 the competition is awful. I started 4 months ago and not even 1 sale.
There is still possibilities. I would recommend watching my video about the reason for no KDP sales, and then after that watch my 2 videos on how to find hot niches. I think that will help you

Publish a decent principled book and your clientele will immediately shrink compared to any other publication with cursing in the front cover for instance.
