For people that are wondering about the destroying a new pair for the sole donors, I will try to explain. This model is the Air Jordan 1 High “Bred” from 2001. It was a “limited” release and on the back of the tongue tag it is individually numbered “XXXXX of 14984”. Unworn versions go for about $800-$1500 on the resale market. Since this one has been restored, the value is harder to determine. Vintage shoes maybe be more desirable than the newer/rerelease versions because the silhouette/shape and materials have changed over the years. The donors are also the “Mid” height versions rather than “High”, so painting those to the bred color way won’t be right. Also the bred highs have been rereleased a few times now since the original 1985 one, but there was a reasons for someone wanting this one restored. Hope this helps
They used to use such nice leather back then, nike really don't make them like they used to... Now it's just split leather mixed together with chemicals with a plastic coating on top (and that's if we're lucky and don't have vinyl instead).
