@@louisemckelvey This is a Ship of Theseus situation. He already threw away 95% of the original material after using it to trace new patterns. It doesn’t matter what I would prefer. These are new knockoff shoes, not restored Gucci shoes.
Только от Гуччи осталась пряжка и кусок подошвы. Это не реставрация, а воссоздание, но уже новой вещи. Мастеру браво за труд кропотливый!

Every time I watch one of these videos on this channel, I say, Wow this one is better than the last video. No, this is absolutely the best one. Whoever trained you to do shoe repair/making should be proud because this is expert craftsmanship at it's best! Great work!

It was multiple people doing the repair. One bites his nails and has a wort, 2nd one nice nails and wedding ring, 3rd maybe didn’t pay much attention.

This is not meant to be disrespectful to the digital age of creativity, BUT watching a person create something with their own two hands is so awesome and satisfying! That being said, TALENT should be rewarded regardless of what medium you work with!!! Kudos.

i think the point is that none of that really matters, the theorical authenticity of a luxury brand is ultimately nonconsequential. what matters is that someone can keep wearing a piece of clothing they love.

I will never buy Gucci for two reasons. The price of a pair of shoes is between 600 and 700€. I clearly can't financial means for it.
Moreover, have you seen the video 😱 ?! Have you seen the head of those shoes ?! I hope the owner has worn them for 50 years, because given the condition, it would be a waste of money if she bought them less than 5 years ago.
I'm not saying to don’t put the price in shoes. I bought one Paraboots for 400€ and yes, they are worth the cost (thickness of the leather, solidity of the shoe, the sole is so thick that you don't feel the gravel under your feet, my feet are melting because of malformation flat feet and shoes hold me back 😆). The only downside I find to Paraboot shoes is the lack of femininity.
Even paying 1€ for a second-hand shoe, I have never found this head with these shoes.
Afterward, even if you want to buy luxury shoes, lots of people recommend Chanel shoes… 🤷🏻♀️

These shoes were originally made in a time when most shoes were made of leather. You have done a great job of restoring them.
I love to imagine that you will be one of the famous customade, self-made branded shoemaker... U are more than just giving new life to many old shoes, your design simply elegant and classy. Imagine instead of using printed LV leather you introduce with your own print... Oh wow. That will be amazing.

I have a pair of shoes that has been worn down and in need in repair. My shoes were replaced piece by piece by Vetiver. If he takes it apart and replaces every single piece, will he still be sending back my old pair of shoes?

I have used cream metal polisher and Brasso (liquid version) but they do not have the same effect like yours all shiny and new.
