    His WWE career will always be better. TNA got great matches out of him but we got to see him go up against the true greats like Brock Lesnar, Eddie Guerrero, HBK, The Rock, Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and many others. I think he should have came back and not gone to that company. It's kind of ironic that in the 2007-2010 many former WWE wrestlers went to TNA. And now many TNA wrestlers are coming to WWE like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe.

    • @count1632
      @count1632 Před 7 lety +5

      Yeah, because we have forgotten the "Kurt Angle raping Booker T's wife" skit. How about him jobbing to John Cena? Or how about when they just put him in the WWECW roster and got nothing out of it? At least in TNA, he had high profile matches with the younger guys that WWE sheep end up praising when they joined WWE after they bash on them for being TNA guys.

    • @buzzerkbrasken8295
      @buzzerkbrasken8295 Před 7 lety +2

      ARCK You must be forgetting the fact he submitted John Cena to the ankle lock, became world heavy weight champion in 2006, had amazing matches at every Wrestlemania he competed in, made it to the top of the card, and the fact he beat randy orton at ECW one night stand. Granted certain skits he did were bad but haven't all superstars been in bad storylines? TNA is a cheap rip off of WCW. Only thing good about it were guys like AJ Styles and Samoa Joe. Who I might add are in WWE right now since TNA is a dying company.

    • @count1632
      @count1632 Před 7 lety +1

      Buzzerk Brasken I'm not saying his WWE career is crap but his time in TNA was better. He was one of their main event players and were in high profile matches. Plus, he had better matches. Angle making Cena tap out was way before he was SuperCena. His match at WM 22 wasn't the main event although Rey won the Rumble match. He was also an afterthought from Rey "doing it for Eddie" and Randy Orton trying to crap on Eddie, although it was a good match.

    • @buzzerkbrasken8295
      @buzzerkbrasken8295 Před 7 lety

      I just think he went against far bigger names in WWE and had better matches. Plus although he jobbed to Cena I am certain they would have given him more title runs. He was a great heel and eventually would have beaten Cena. The only noteable people from TNA and had good matches with were Sting, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, and a few others. His technical matches with Lesnar, Guerrero, and Benoit were way better.

    • @count1632
      @count1632 Před 7 lety

      Buzzerk Brasken true... his matches with Lesnar are my all time favorites. But I honestly doubt he would beat Cena because when Vince sees something in someone, he's gonna protect them by any means necessary. Angle might've had another World Title, but that'll be it. He wouldn't be the main event of ppvs because of Vince's obsession with Cena, nor he would get a clean win.

      Belhinani Abdelkhalek Hard to call, actually the way things were looking, Angle would’ve been more over with the fans, in their feud back in 05 he was cheered the WHOLE time even with the anti American gimmick he won the fans over..it may be because Cena was straying away from the rapping and only had 5 moves and every match he was in was predictable..Once Angle turned face for that brief time in 06 he was the MOST over in the company..his reactions from the crowd were undeniable...the way he was booked was not so hot..he was in ECW which had potential, but flopped and we know what became of that..so then he left. Not to cope with the fact he was being booked horrible (which he doesn’t want to talk about) and his schedule/drug problem, he just couldn’t go on anymore he did the right thing in leaving. Plus the only reason he became face and won the Heavy weight title that year was because of Batista’s injury so he was moved to smackdown..if it weren’t for that I don’t think they would’ve had much use for him as you can see as I stated he was moved to ecw for heavens sake..Vince however, did want the Cena and Angle feud to continue on and he wanted them to be the big rivalry and have Cena keep going over which would’ve been a huge mistake..You could tell the fans were absolutely tired of Cena by New Years Revolution 06 the boos were very loud and by wrestlemania that year, they cheered a heel veteran HHH over the guy..I’m not saying it’s Cena’s fault it’s the companies fault for having this vision of making Cena the next Hulk Hogan or something which just didn’t work and the fans got tired of his act and no in ring skills..WWE has said any reaction is a good one, but you can see how far that’s got them through these years as they’re getting the lowest ratings in their history and bad booking that’s treading 1995 territory in terms of how childish and idiotic it is.. this year alone is one of the WORST in the companies HISTORY! All because Vince thinks he knows what we want! Shame on him he should’ve stepped down years ago! He’s senile and ruining his greatest creation!

      Gomes Gomes Gomes Lol 100% sure I’ve got more legit wrestling experience than you as I’ve been a fan for 2+ decades and have wrestled and trained many years just not on a pro level and I’m very sure you haven’t done any of that. Now running my mouth you say? Lol nah buddy that’s you that’s running their mouth. Of course Shawn is going to put Cena over he was a great guy minus all the garbage we were getting starting in 2005 and everyone should know it’s mostly Vince that has the final say in most of the storyline outcomes and what we see on television. But you’ve got Cena’s cock so far down your throat you couldn’t see anything he did wrong. Cena’s a hell of an “actor” but he’s no Kurt, he’s no Shawn and he’s no Bret. He got over with mic skills and charisma and was able to market and target a mainstream audience more so than the rest. Keyword is he was a good “actor” but you can keep speaking on things you have no clue about and continue to be delusional. Fact of the matter is Cena’s act became stale and people could see through the agenda. Don’t know how stupid you have to be to not see that but I’m sure you’ll find a way to continue proving me right as you have thus far. 5 moves of doom is absolutely correct. The same repeated move set for 15+ years and he only recently tried to add some more moves to his arsenal like that lightning punch LOL. You’re a clown dude. The Wrestlers are limited to what they can do and perform in the ring to a certain extent but unless you’re a brain dead idiot I don’t see how you could get entertained by Cena 2005-2014 it was literally him overcoming the odds 80% of the time. Hell I’d say the same about Rock too at certain points. Even Austin after his injury because he was actually a good technical wrestler if you go back and watch anything before his injury, and no I don’t just care about who the best wrestler is, I care about being entertained and if a said wrestler is on top there’s going to come criticism and if you don’t agree then tough shit. Don’t think Cena cares if he found out either you or I for that matter even existed. Cena I will say recently has gained the respect of many but I’ve always respected the man I just didn’t care for the person he was becoming on screen compared to what I know he WAS capable of.

    • @JJ-je2zb
      @JJ-je2zb Před 3 lety

      Gomes I literally said Rock and Austin as examples of me getting tired of them using the same moves at certain points because you do need those big moves at the RIGHT time and all those wrestlers you’re naming are no different. All of them at a point got stale and needed to reinvent themselves or repackage but Cena did not. Am I saying we needed a Heel Cena? In my opinion yes that was the best option in my opinion because looking back it honestly would have made no difference in whatever people thought “bad” would happen. The constant excuses of “make a wish” and the kids and viewership decreasing is very debatable. Viewers were going down no matter what as cable is just not as popular nowadays. The sponsors not allowing it is debatable as well. Just look at the “edgy” segments they’ve been trying to air lately. Kids were going cheer him no matter what. Kids were going to boo him no matter what. Adults were too. If he got any reaction it’s better than none, and that was the problem and in this case the things they did with not only Cena but other things as well hurt the product today. Then look at Hogan’s turn. He still had millions and millions of fans old, young disabled, athletic, it doesn’t matter because you should get the point of Cena getting stale. And lol I literally said Vince has the final say on everything which is you basically repeating back to me when you say Cena’s told what to do. No shit, I literally said that and that can be the case for ALL wrestlers. Seems like you just want to get a reaction for some reason but it’s ok I’m here schooling you giving you the attention you so desperately wanted. Undertaker actually had an expanded move set and didn’t spam moves for the most part hardly ever if I recall. If he did it was at high points in the match towards the climax of him actually putting on a good performance and using the moves when it’s necessary. But then again since you love Cena so much it’s all contrary to belief on whether a move should be used at a certain point in the match or not that’s the only valid argument I can see you making but other than that you have nothing. Once again like I stated FIRST, their moves are limited to what they can do on television. Also, Undertaker is without a doubt, a once in a lifetime character. Cena is not. They literally did the same type of booking with Reigns as they did Cena. At first they compared him to Rock because of “heritage” but that quickly faded away because after he was booked stronger than Rock, then Cena, (which no one thought we’d see someone booked with the nickname “Super” next to his last name “Cena”) and he took that spot as the most “polarizing” wrestler in sports entertainment today. Literally that same Superman like booking Cena had 2005-2014 (not consistent but for the most part he was booked as super human almost). And that term “polarizing” they love using when someone doesn’t get a reaction they like. Which Cena did more than any other wrestler in history by getting mixed reactions and heavily booed plenty of times but over the last few years it’s been worse with Roman, (they’ve muted crowds it’s gotten so bad) a superstar I’m sure you’re a fan of if you love Cena as much as you’ve proven you already do.

    If TNA could have booked correctly and pushed homegrown talent like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles instead of letting Sting and Hulk Hogan squash everybody, we could have had a ratings war like the late 90’s. Would have been amazing for WWE. Maybe we can get that with AEW, but who knows. It’s all about who can build talent and get them over and make the majority of things on the card matter and feel interesting to the audience.

    Boy was he wrong about alot of shit he said. First of all, TNA was never close being on the magnitude scale WWE is. WWE never considered them a rival. Secondly, its easy to just say quit but Chris and Eddie had worked their whole lives to get to stardom status they were both at when they died. It wouldn't have made sense on a career standpoint to just up n quit at those particular times. And WWE should take some responsibility on their fates. They should have took into consideration what signs were being shown towards the wrestlers ends. Eddie was obviously having heart problems, and how does the WWE not see the problems Benoit had? I would say WWE was a bit negligent on their part maintaining the wellness of their employees. They seemed more worried about making a fast buck than focusing time and care on the conditions and well being of the wrestlers who gave everything night after night in their short rested hard driven overbearing schedules. Kurt Angle was just being appreciative and a first class gentleman, but some of what he says is bogus. Face it, he left when he did because he wasn't in the spotlight he once was and his value was diminishing. Had that contract been in the right decimal place, he would have stayed. People are so full of shit. They only tell you what they want you to hear, not everything.
