I think the Zippo fuel canister is an amazing product. I certainly can see the possibility of a defective seal in it - but have not had one yet. Like everything else, eventually one will be made and pass QC that is not up to par. Thank goodness they are cheap enough that you can get another one - that works - easily.....

I may try clear coating mine, or covering it with some shrink wrap.
I would be happy to send it to you, let you see this for yourself.

    Interesting…..
I know the seals on mine aren’t leaking. Mine only holds fuel for a couple days.

Love the videos ! An avid fan who’s started his own collection inspired in part by your videos! Also I was wondering if you had a Ronson princess plunger I could purchase, I tried contacting you through eBay but it would not let me send a message thank you for your time

I took a look around my boneyard and could not find any Princess parts. It is fairly easy to find donor lighters for most Ronsons on Ebay though.✌️

I think if the exact same model of lighter has a fuel resistant rubber gasket on one and a paper ring on the other, the rubber gasket is obviously an upgrade. I would adapt accordingly. Paper WICKS lighter fluid obviously, just not as good as cotton or rayon😁
