This is the final straw as a Mikayla supporter. The way she tossed this small business owner around like a dog toy is unacceptable and just plain mean. I can’t with her anymore.

I feel for this guy. I've had a similar situation with an influencer, she gave me a whole schedule of videos she would make if I gifted her a custom made item (value at my current prices around £250). I made it specifically to go with an outfit for a video, and she posted that video with someone elses products 💀 All she ever posted was ONE unboxing Instagram story. It was after I just started and it was so disheartening. The way Mikayla lied to him and strung him along is just cruel and WEIRD behaviour and I'm really sorry he lost money on stock for trusting her word.

I think she did wrong by promising him a review. But, with that being said. He has the majority of the responsibility for trusting her word. She didn’t owe him a review. He shouldn’t have taken that loan based solely on her word, especially because she had already delayed it so much. IMO this is a lesson. This is something we should’ve learn from Makeup Geek & JH. He should’ve done a sponsorship w contract if he expected her to pull through.
Or like... she could just not lie? I get he took a big risk and that was on him, but she should have just straight up said she couldn't review his brand, it really is that freakin simple. Yesss! This video is awesome. How I approached it was if I like the person and personally watch their videos I reached out because I believe in my stuff. And if the person I send it to likes it and they post it that'd be awesome and if they don't hopefully they give me honest feedback so I can make improvements. I see it more like a gift or a tester.
