Thelipsticklesbians do this, not necessarily about problematic brands, but they do short videos on different products and formulas and stuff in sephora and ulta bc they're brand owners and are familiar with product formulation. I learned from them to swatch stuff on the creasey part of my hand to test foundation/concealer/etc for how it'll wear in wrinkles.

No girl I’m not curious about a PDFile or racists makeup. I don’t think mascara or foundation will rectify their potentially criminal actions, because I’m not a lunatic who values makeup over humans and their safety. It’s genuinely unhinged and says a lot about a persons character that they care more about whether or not a mascara is waterproof than the fact that the person who made it may have been involved with minors.

I'm almost 32 and I only use the "I'm just a girl line" as like a joke and I keep it to myself (mainly if I have to pick up something heavy or something like that) plus her reactions to people calling her out are super childish. As a millennial, I do not act like this and neither do my friends. Guess she just wasn't told no as a child.

7:44 I 100% agree. I’m a broke college student who’s also plus size, so finding stores with plus size inclusive clothing in my style is a rare gem and often costs way more than I can possibly afford. I buy my clothes in bulk almost, but like- once every 9 months or something and for things I need. I save up my money for it. Like right now I’m saving to buy a full set of clothes which are going to last me for a WHILE (at least 2 years). And I wear those clothes until I can’t wear them anymore. And if, god forbid, I get ‘bored’ of them or something, I’ll give it so someone I know. Influencers buying like 700 items of clothing, not wear them and send them to thrift stores or the trash or something is just complete waste.

I've followed glamzilla since she was more of a local influencer in my city. I love the way she applies makeup (and still do tbh). At one point she followed me back and we had a few interactions in DMs. Her social media persona has changed so much. This has been weird to witness.

Also completely agree about Glamzilla being too old to act like that - as someone in their late 20s I think this trend of younger millenials infantalising themselves has a direct impact on people taking young people seriously. Please let us know how the Illusion bronze turned out for you once you get a chance to try it! I am also VERY interested in trying it - I want to support a small brand and I love the concept behind it (not to mention the love and passion that the owner has put into it), but that’s WAY more than i typically pay for tanning products (normally my tanning products are just the sun and cheap drugstore self-tanner lotion, haha). I’m also very pale and would love to have a nice bronze glow but I don’t want to be orange or streaky or have it not really look like much at all. I’m in the USA, and yes you can return makeup, skincare if you’re not happy with it for any reason full refund & or store credit….
With that being said, I have not liked some things I’ve bought (no samples available sometimes)& I rarely ever return them, because I feel so guilty returning used stuff. lol 🥴

My humble opinion is that she was hoping to get a brand deal (or maybe was already contacted) and tried to ease her way into it.
