Even though I've always been a fan of KISS I got tired of the back and forth stuff. Ace had his demons and he finally dealt with it which is a very hard thing to do. He seems to be happy and is continuing on doing what he loves to do. His new album is the best thing that's come out in a long time for any rock and roll band. I applaud him for that. But in terms of the EOTR tour they should have had him and Peter come do something. KISS always said they do it for the fans but hey guys the fans wanted these guys there! They failed and because of that I didn't make any effort to see them. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

The comments from Paul about Ace not being able to perform are laughable - Paul's voice was shot a decade ago and he resorts to using pre recorded vocals live - that is the biggest sin in rock and roll .. I will always love the Starchild, Spaceman, Cat and Demon - KISS is far and away my favorite band, however, Paul Stanley is closer to Joy Behar these days than the icon we knew in the 1970s ... Say whatever you want about Ace, but he's continually putting out albums and playing his songs live .. It may not be perfect, but perfection has no place in rock and roll ..

Absolutely!!! Even take a song like "AND THEN SHE KISSED ME", from LOVE GUN! 60's Phil Spector girl group classic! It's ACE'S work, and the simple solo by him that makes it the best in all history of many versions!

I believe that Ace, unlike Paul, has dealt with his demons today and strives only for the best. His last album was amazing and very strong. No matter what anyone says, I believe in Ace and believe that no matter what his past was, he truly makes music for the people. Just skip the old bull and just U N I T E. It's a perfect time to do it now, and in the "final" Kiss performance we were SOOOO many that missed both Ace and Peter. But . (And that is a big BUT) There is still a chanse to make the world's greatest and best Rock performance of the Century. A reunion with real KISS 2.0 Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter, and that cold be Beefed up with Tommy and Eric. And split the cash 50/50 between all members. Show the world what Rock n Roll is! Friendship and peace, not war. Kiss army want the best- give us the Best one more time. PLEASE!
He owned the fact that he was an alcoholic and was always late so he cannot hold his mates factual statements against them. IMO: Paul & Gene have the 'green eyed monster' syndrome. Ace is a fantastic player with an 'approachable personality'.....shows how humble & down to earth he is & his humor was lost on the two that think far too highly of themselves.
Yeah I guess the only song Ace wrote on the new record was Back into my arms which was an old demo from the 80's according to Steve Brown who made this new Ace record. He said 95% of the songs were ideas that Steve wrote and came up with. Ace contributed some solo's and sings all of the songs but it sounds like it's basically a Steve Brown record featuring Ace Frehley. It's an Ace album because it has his name on it. Don't get me wrong, I have been a die hard Kiss/Ace fan since I was 6. I'm 52 now. I have been listening to Ace since 1977. I've seen Ace live 4 times. 89, 94, 96 at MSG with Kiss and also on the PC tour. I've been a Ace fan for a long time and he's always been the best Kiss guitarist for me. I also like Bruce K too. Anyway, I am a fan but I also don't drink the Ace Kool aid. I liked 10,000 volts, Fighting for life, and Stratosphere. Most of the record is Steve IMO.
They are the three best songs and I don't mind Up In The Sky. The rest is pretty awful to be honest.

Supposedly Ace didn't have a lot to do with the making of the new album. And the vocals sound weird to me, maybe because of the down-tuning. He said there's no effects on the vocals.
I hope this record does really well for Ace. Hell, I think he should had released around the same week Kiss was "Retiring". I could not think of a better middle finger back at the band.

I realize most of you will squeal in horror, but this is how Kiss might have become way bigger and become more of an iconic mainstay to this day. Their main problem was Paul and Gene took themselves WAY too seriously. Kiss is a brand, and after the 70's Paul and Gene just consistently took that brand in the wrong direction. Had they done some of the following I don't doubt we'd have an animated Marvel Kiss series on Netflix even today.
A: Give the characters names, don't use real names, and allow change in personnel to adopt the characters. Gene should have been "Demon", Ace "Spaceman" etc. Then when Peter Criss left the band, another drummer should have come in and used the cat make-up etc.
B: Admit their target market was kids. Have just a tiny bit, even 1% of humor about the whole thing (Ace Freheley actually got this). They were at their height when they had comics and that cheesy movie etc. They were always more Tiger Beat than Cream. During the 80's instead of becoming less Kiss-like and trying to go grunge, they should have gone MORE cartoony and more iconic, more power-glam-pop. Had they done this, I bet you'd now have pictures of Kurt Cobain wearing a Kiss t-shirt.
D: Don't chase other trends, instead, become MORE Kiss-like. They should have really gone a little more musically in the direction of The Sweet, who similarly wanted to be a heavy rock band but battled with management who made them more heavy rock glam pop, and were the much better for it. They kept trying to be something they weren't but all their egos just got in the way. They were always desperate, chasing. I realize "I was made for loving you" was a hit, but who listens to it now? Making a disco record was just pissing all over the brand at the time.
E: NEVER TAKE OFF THE MAKEUP.
That I have been a long time kiss fan sents 1975 . Me and my brother have fights and such and now we don't fight any more that I would love to see the first 4 and get back together an that is the real kiss so with the others members that it was good and I am sad about the others members for passing that they all ways be a part in my life an that was sad times so have a osem. Band with gean Peter and ace an Paul that is very young an osem an you know each other an so you have the best band in the world . An amazing four people are so very amazing absolutely 😊

I used to listen to kiss when I was like 1516 years old I stopped by in their music after rock ‘n’ roll over I started listening to other bands like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest AC/DC. It seems they’re always arguing with one another even in retirement get a life move on with your life.

Im tired of listening to Aces attempt to reinvent his solo album from 1978! Time and again! I think the new album is just another attempt in doing just that. Im tired of hearing the same old riffs, the same old sound and the same old space lyrics. In comparison with Mick Mars soloalbum, released on the sam date, Ace:s album diminishes! It's Ace that should be embarrassed of his lack of imagination, rather than KISS. Hell, even Soul Stations is better!
