I've had a few Final Fantasy XV bosses AI just give up... so it looks like it's a common Square Enix bug. lol
Yeah I've had that happen to me a few times in FF XV too.
I finished this boss yesterday. Died three times because of those cages. Learned valuable lessons on slice and dashing.
I also learned I need to make my sora God and freeze all the things.

Dean I'm sorry man but you're mistaken, Miracle Staff combos are actually good. Except for the slow finisher of course, but they do really good damage, and when you start mixing airstep and magic into the combos it really starts popping off.
I know Mirage Staff is busted but I really don't like the way it feels and don't like any form that removes guard from my defensive options.
@@Soraalam1 it definitely could've used a barrier. But it's so mobile, and if you devote yourself to learning how to dodge, jump, dodge, glide, dodge, etc. then its pretty solid too. Staggers pretty much everything too.
@@adonai3676 I think the shotlock is extremely good, the regular physical attacks are alright besides the finisher, but the fact that you take away my guard AND change my moveset if I even dodge once sucks. The clones are strong but if I'm forced into using them when I only had the intention of dodging, which is my only defensive option btw, I don't like the form.
I understand how it is "good" in the sense of it being strong but for me I just don't have fun with this playstyle. Countershield is the GOAT Disney Keyblade transformation for me, I love that thing.

The main problem with KH3 is the lack of actual attack abilites. Compared to 1 and 2 there's basically like no combo modifiers.
But I still love the shit outta this game..

@Vipergaming23 KH1 still had more than 3 finishers and 2 mid-combo abilities without final mix Everglow made a video on it. Even with or without FM Kh3 is still way behind. KH1FM only added 10 abilities total.And I think only 7 were attacked based.
I think I remember seeing a vaguely similar bug in a level 1 critical mode stream. Still confused why it happens though
Also, never forget about sliding down hill taking priority over other movement controls.
Maybe the AI thought it killed sora and stopped moving bc of it
