Glad to hear it, check out the floor I just did on the Monterey. That should help alittle more too.

Brian - I just found your channel. I love it. You've got a real interesting set of skills! If I'm being honest... I am NOT a fan of Bayliner Boats - esp in this class of boat. They do (a little) better in their Sport Cruisers, but I just don't like the brand. Generic, and not super high quality boats. But hey - when you can find one in decent condition, and turn it into a cool project.. what the heck. This one looks like you could have something. In any event, that isn't the point I wanted to make. The point is... Man I love your channel! Loving the series you're doing now on the Monterey. Just subbed you, and watched part 1 and 2. Can't wait to see that boat. Now that is one he11 of a boat - the Monterey! Really looking forward to seeing what you do with that one!

The problem using pressure treated is that the resin doesn't stick well

I also didn’t have the right tools or rollers either which would’ve helped remove any air pockets. Just bought all that for my next project boat. Still a newbie with fiberglass work but I’m continuing to learn.

What type of plywood did you use?

Ended up using pressure treated and soaked everything in resin for added protection.

Hey keep it up man ill watch, i just found a 1990 capri pretty great condition actually. He’s asking 3200 for it, would be my first boat are they worth it?

Really appreciate the support! From what I’ve seen so far they’re pretty decent boats. Really all depends on the previous owners though. This one spent a lot of time covered up so I really lucked out with all the cushions but I can tell the rest wasn’t kept up on the best. The floor was in pretty bad shape obviously. Just be sure to take your time and inspect any boat before you buy.

Just to say you didn’t grind the bolts off in markers on wheel guards

Damn, I didn’t make it look easy in the video?? 😂 I panicked when I saw how small that hole was that I had to stick my hand through to put those spins in knowing how big my hand was lol
