I love Saddle Mountain. Bewteen there and 4th of July peak there are a lot of banded fortified agates that turn more blue the closer you get to the 4th of July area. The south side of the mountain tends to have lots of massive float. The low hills to the south have amazing flowers in quartz. Below the quartz flower area the chalcedony forms a lot of roses which seem to pop up more frequently on the eastern side of the range. Iron content and sard, jaspers, becomes pretty common the farther north you go. The western side of the range carries a few geodes and thundereggs. Some of the peewee nodules from the nearby mountains can be found on that side. At the low basins through out the foot of the mountains opal can be found. Cherry fire opal has been found there but I only found 2 pieces. Other precious opal can be found amongst some of the layers of chalcedony. Overall, the place is amazingly diverse and full of good energy plus the aeolian landscape is fun to walk across. It's all crunchy.

Just stopping by to say I believe it. The whole planet is rocks. Some are cool, some are valuable, and some are both.

We know where you were. The whole area west of Tonopah and even South west of Salome is good. Keep having fun!

If you have not explored Saddle Mountain itself, you were fortunate to be a ways south since Saddle has been picked over for so long that it is hit and miss. We went to Saddle first in the late 70's. The material was so thick that we came back a month later with rakes and a bigger-ass truck to haul the loot away. Last time I was there was about 12 years ago and the pickings were so slim we drifted south as you did. Age and health prevent me from collecting, so I live vicariously through your and others' videos. Thanks Elley. p.s. hope that little punk in Greenland finds nothing but leaverites.

I just came back from Black Hills Rockhound area. Been planning it since I watched your video. Fire Agates and Chalcedony EVERYWHERE! I think I found a moss agate, but not entirely sure, lol. I need to investigate further. Thanks for these videos.

I live right next to saddle mountain. I have more of these rocks than I know what to do with. Problem is I have absolutely no idea how to sell them and no tools to work the. So I'm just adding to my Literal TON of rocks and crystals.😂

Why always look for dark and red? What does that mean? Also when I was there it was dark black rocks everywhere then it looked like the white exploded and there were chunks of the white everywhere. Does that mean I should dig there cuz there would be a vein underneath?

Hey Ellie I wish I was rock hunting in Arizona. I'm from Pennsylvania but I have been to Sedona three times and it absolutely stole my heart. Been multiple places in Arizona and just think the diversity of landscape is amazing. Thanks for your videos . Just wondering why you're using the little pokey tool
