I’m so glad I found this channel. I get excited just virtual rockhounding.
Yay that’s awesome
Virtual rockhounding 😂 I like it
Excellent finds! I thoroughly enjoy your videos... and appreciate your knowledge as a geologist. Entertaining and educational... you just can't beat that!!!!
Your enthusiasm is a joy to see. Amazingly beautiful rocks.
I went to Luna with Arizona Rockhound Expeditions two months ago. It was great! I even found a 29 lb chunk of agate in a road cut. Only about a quarter size section was visible above ground. I haven’t cut into it yet, as my saw is much too small. I was a little baffled to find that the BLUE chunk of agate, is now WHITE.
I am so happy seeing my home state of New Mexico having such beautiful minerals and giving you a gift of a lifetime. My husband and I have planned to go to that area but have to wait till the weather cools down. Thank you for not just showing us your adventures but for teaching us too, that’s why we love all your videos.
Thank you so much for watching. I’m so glad you liked it. I love New Mexico. It’s an amazing state full of minerals and so much beauty. It was very warm when I went. I was only wearing a jacket and pants to shield myself from the sun. Otherwise I would’ve been wearing shorts and a T-shirt. I hope that you can make it up there and I hope you find some thing. Amazing.
You ladies did great! I know they were stoked to have you there. Great show. Keep them coming. See you on the next one.😊 😷⚒
I’m so glad to have met them :)
I love your videos! Such exciting adventures with a real geologist who can explain things. Congrats on your amazing finds. Can’t wait to watch part 2, which will be in about 2 minutes. 🥰.
So love your videos and your excitement is contagious!!!!
I love your videos and this one was pretty exciting. The giant agate is totally awesome. The dogtooth crystal ball at 8:44 is super neat. It's nice you had friends to share the excitement with. Thanks for sharing the pursuit of the elusive Luna Blue.
The Luna Blue Agate is so beautiful. I look forward to seeing the big one done!
Thank you! Me too
Another great adventure with some great finds and company🎉
Such amazingly beautiful rocks. Thank you for sharing this adventure. Certainly wish I could find such beauty’s. I am getting better thanks you channels like your and a couple others. Thank you 😊
Awesome video Elley!! Keep up the great work and i cant wait to see how you cut that beautiful big white and blue agate
Amazing finds, I am a student at Paradises Valley Community College. I am taking my second semester of Geology !!!
You get just as exited about geology and rocks as I do I love it
Absolutely amazing Elley. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you! I’m glad you like it
Beautiful finds! I am close enough that one day, I'll have to drive out there.
nice finds!! looks like a fun place to dig around.
That area has so much to offer. So glad you went there.
Where is this? I would love to go
I’m not a geologist but I like looking at rocks. I find myself picking them up at the beach and keeping the cool ones 😊
Loved this video!!!
Awsome episode!!!!!!
Wow. Hunt of a lifetime. Awesome!
It was amazing
I love a good rockhounding adventure but my yard and saw pile (hates me) 😂😂😂😂 Yep love the flowers also.
My favorite comment by 1 of the ladies "and to think I saw that" (as she points at a tip) HUGE GEODE
Wow! Nice!👍
Heck yeah!!! The agate and quartz is similar to southeastern Missouri. Everything in Missouri is weird though I’m guessing this is a more typical hydrothermal type deposit. I just learned Missouri minerals are epithermal lol still not sure what that means. Great to see everyone excited 💎👀
It means the deposit happened with low temperature water. Not as hot as a Hydrothermal geothermal activity. The same type of process happens through void fulfillment of silica rich, warm water fluid.
:)
Wow that's a piece! Looks like I will have to check that area out! I am a amateur rockhounder and gold prospector. A few days ago I was at Diamond Point. Have enjoyed watching your videos.
That’s amazing. Keep it up. I love to hear of people in the field and especially if they’re learning something new. And amateurs become professional someday so keep going.
I Love it Up There. Very Nice. Agate 🤘
I'm jealous that you got to go to New Mexico looks like so much fun in such a beautiful agate!! But please come down and listen to the best sounded homeless guy you have ever heard!!!
I don't know why but people have a problem with me down here because I don't have no money I don't ever beg for money I never asked for nothing? So I don't understand why if they're jealous because I'm homeless and have more fun than they are? But I'm starting to get a complex and I need some support and inspiration!
Excited that you are excited helping me learn while sharing this fantastic video.
Awesome thank you
Thanks for sharing and teaching!
Your welcome:)
Yea. Plenty of trees around Payson. I dig SIO2.
The Luna area is loaded with minerals. The "Luna Blue" is not that rare. I have 7 20 gallon buckets full of it. We have found blocks of it over 50 lbs. A little bit rarer is the "Luna Gold". The mineralization zone is huge. It stretches from Escudillo Mountain just north of Alpine, east to the Apache Creek and Aragon region and down will into the Gila National Forest. The pink you were finding is fairly common, but there is also a lavender that is spectacular. We hear that the Escudillo Mountain area is very productive after several years of devastating fires and then the resultant erosion means the rocks are easier to find.,
where are you ?
I am in El Paso, Texass. I spent 40 years collecting all over the Southwest, but New Mexico in particular. Age and health have prevented me from collecting for almost ten years now, so I live vicariously through the videos of others. @@wanderwomen6574

I'm a retired geologist- I really enjoy your videos! Thx!
Awe that’s awesome thank you
Amazing!
Great find
Thank you
OMG!!! 😳
I want some of that😅
Wow, I have seen a few videos like this and that huge blue agate was the best I have ever seen! Where where you again? Laguna nm ? If I can be so bold what mt and area? I am in Flagstaff often. My book doesn't say anything like forms on the volcanic here...
hey that's the same environment here in Tijeras I wonder if there's any here....
I found a nearby creek with a lot of pink and blue chalcedony here in Washington. It's barely weathered, so I'm going to look upstream for the source.
If there are small hills around the stream that feed the stream, I would start hiking up the hills. :)
Hell yeah. I found a bunch of good agates there.
It’s an awesome place
Where?
Would love to go find celestite in the San Rafael swell
I would love to go rockhounding in another state, it's hard to get away from UT though
Utah has some of the best rockhounding. Anyways, you got loads to look for there. :)
how’s everything going??! well trip. sleep well-;))
Did you ever do anything with that amazing piece at 19:35? I've been hoping to see it again.
love your videos love you your a beautiful lady do you ever not bring home rocks
Occasionally, I leave rocks where they belong in the field. But most of the time I definitely bring stuff home. But I do try to limit myself, I promise, lol

I definitely want to go look for more pecos diamonds :)
Where did you get your great hat???
Pleas don't cut the big blue seam piece. Surface grind and polish it.
I found a rock, it almost looks shell like, but is definitely a rock. I wish I knew what kind it is✌🏼🙋🏼♀️👍🏻🤷🏼♀️
You probably have a fossilized shells get replaced with silica. During the fossilization process And therefore are as hard as the mineral or rock.
@ElleyKnowsRocks wow, thank you for responding. I thought it was a turtle sticking out of the ground, or not alive. Small white stones seem to be encapsulated within this rock form. I have never seen anything like it. Thank you again! Enjoy all of your content!
I also found a small shell on top of Pikes Peak🙋🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤣👍🏻
You could free-form the front face.
Yes true!!! I thought about cutting it at two different angles, and making a kind of obelisk shape
??? Tigers eye hear???
Where is this at?
Are these for sale at rock bottom prices??😄
Tigers,eye???
Can you give location, please?
I believe she said she was just north of Luna, New Mexico.
So that lunar blue is super rare?..
Yeah, the blue is.
