This would have been a nice accessory a few years ago. Before bluetooth on the switch, before models with longer battery life and before the improved kickstand.
Even with the OLED I can always,always use more battery life. đ. It is sadly a bit chunky though.
Except not everyone bought the oled. Some still have the original.
yuo can buy a switch lite for the price of that bundle...
Itâs a bit excessive looking for me. I like the minimalistic ergonomics of the skull and co grip or the statisfye grips.

I'm super interested in this thing. Mostly to have a comfort grip, and extra battery life. As far as I know this is the only grip case that offers extended battery. I'd also like to ask if it's possible to just remove the joycons and keep the battery pack, and possibly use it with the binkbok or spit pad grips? You have a new subscriber by the way lol
Thanks for the informative review, I just wanted to know how it felt without the battery in? As someone who only recently got a Switch, I was looking at this case as an option since I was looking to get a case, portable dock, travel case and powerbank for my Switch anyway so this kind of ticked all my boxes. Is it still heavy with everything detached as just a grip? The idea of using my Xbox controller on my Switch is pretty cool and I like the hotswap batteries. The price makes it a much harder decision to make to be honest, but without a doubt, I'll be looking at getting a portable dock for travelling, I just keep getting worried about the talks of bricking consoles with third party docks!
Still sticking with the minimal Neogrip. Plus I got the Zelda ToTK edition so looks wise it definitely wins over the gundam look for me
The case is based on the series Gundam animes that came out a long time ago
of all of the casing, I'm still up for 'battery extension'âŠplus u can even play ur switch with DS4 or DS5 using the adapter, where the D-pads are comfortable in position

I love this case. I got the black version, which fits my aesthetic better. The later updated version only comes with one set of grips, which fit either the regular switch or the OLED model. Still pretty cool though.
you can also put a 1 game catridge in each grip. just slide the grip off and there are slots
idk if you said it but the inside of the grips can also hold a game each
I was wanting one of these but for uk customers they are still shipping out the dock with only the US plug and fitting a uk adatper to it is clunky especially when also fitting it into the case
I'm wondering why no-one has made a grip with integrated wireless earbuds and a single usb c pass through port to charge the switch and the earbuds battery together. would have been a killer feature on this grip seeing how huge it is

Hahaha itâs not! I did have an idea to fix both problems though. Take out the storage on one side for the extra grip things, add storage for a few other things plus a little insert that goes in the middle to fill the gap. Done. Lol

Edit: the accessories are definitely cool but I was literally thinking the same thing when you said it, it reminds me of my brother's Game Gear from way back when lol. I'm more of minimalist and the Skull and Co still fits in my current slim third party Switch case as long as I remove my preferred grips and store them in the mesh, along with my back up battery and some games. As cool as the charge and play feature is, I just don't see it being anymore convenient than just using my Anker like I do now. Still, can't fault them for trying something new and I'm sure there are some people out there that would dig this beast.
Maybe my hands are weak, but I drop my OLED on my face all the time when playing on my back in bed lol. That's without any grip attached. Here comes my bias... with my Skull N Co NeoGrip (which is super lightweight and sturdy) the added grip makes the entire unit feel lighter and more secure. Any added weight might just knock me out playing in bed
I do the same thing. After hurting my nose many times, I can say I've learned to sleep with my switch in hand.

As always, a very nice review and super helpful! As fun as the Gundam Wing aesthetic is for this grip it looks about as heavy as a mech too :) Like you, I'll stick with the Skull&Co grip (for now).
Itâs not as heavy as it looks but yes. Itâs got a little extra thatâs for sure haha

Review the Fixture S2 or S1. I havenât used my joycons in handheld mode because of fixture S2.

naaah too big,bulky,heavy, and excessive which can dramatically affect the gaming experience for a long period of time.

Neo Grip is trash, slippery cheap plastic. Satisfye much better with the rubberized back on the grip
