My favorite switch accessory was this rubbery case that had a detachable flap that would cover the screen. It also has some slight grips to it too which was nice. It served as a grip and a super lightweight case that adds no severe bulk to the device.

I never used any alternatives on my OG Switch, but noticed more weight on the OLED that led to more discomfort. I invested in the Grip Case From Skull & Co and i love it. I alternate from the small ones on the go and switch to the trigger grips when at home. Big improvement for long gaming sessions.

I bought these clip-on grips for the joy-cons, which weirdly each side has a slot to store a switch game in. I'm just happy the OLED's joy-cons are the same size as other joy-cons, as they fit well, and the black contrasts nicely with the white joy-cons.

On Skull & Co’s losable small piece, i actually did lose that locking piece for the top of the grip thanks to a certain 2 year old gamer of mine. I emailed them and while they dont offer that specific replacement, they said if i reordered the whole grip and provided them the order number, they would refund the cost of the order minus shipping. I have Satysfe and Hori Split pad pro. I think owning both are beneficial, because Satisfye is a great daily driver, but split pad is great for FPS. Only downside with split pad is remapping the back button being limited to a button on each control pad. (Left control pad can’t use X, Y, A or B that you would typically use, since those buttons are in the right control pad). So I remap my right side to Jump and leave it at that.

  • @Moonlighter_TV

I've tried a LOT of the options and my favorite for comfort is definitely the Satisfye grip though for some games like Smash Bros where you want some slightly beefier joysticks and buttons the Bin Bok controllers feel a lot more ergonomic than the Hori split pad pro.

I honestly just use silicone covers for the joy cons and switch whenever I play handheld. Can’t really find replacements though

I've been using the skull and co grip case and it's amazing and I feel very safe about my switch not breaking if we're to drop it

My favorite is currently the MobaPad M6. They look very similar to the Hori Split Pad Pros, but they have gyro controls and rumble. It has some shortcomings, but it does have awesome sticks and mechanical buttons.

The locking mechanism on the grip is for when using the original non oled switch.

EVERYBODY LISTEN UP. The best grip for the oled switch is the OVIO grip on Amazon. Holds 5 switch cartridges and has an awesome stand that’s durable and can help playing in handheld mode. Has the same hand kick out so the hands are way more comfortable than skull and co. And I know I have both. People it’s only 16 bucks on Amazon…
    You’re welcome✌🏼

Can you still use the grip when the joycon are removed? Im a college student and change constantly between table top, hand held and docked. Wanting to know if the main body of the switch will still be held in place with out of the joycon as removing the grip would get annoying

Skull & Co claim that the grip case is dockable... which is somewhat true, but it feels a little forced into the dock and flexes the top

  • @PhoachPlaylist

Ironically, I've used both joy in replacement's and the hori is way less comfortable and gives me hand cramps because of its flat back while the binbok has actual grips that are there to hold on to and feel like a real controller.

  • @drewyancey9785

Go with Satisfye or the different joy con….skull & co, the neo grip feels very cheap and the grip handles don’t come off and on very easily.
