  • In this video we extend some stainless steel exhaust 14", and we use the Dynasty 300 Tig welding machine to Tig weld this one up. We set up a purge system, and use some Furick Tig welding equipment. Hope you guys enjoy! Thanks for watching!

Enjoyed the video and appreciate the method you demonstrated as to how to orient your parts. I’ve gone about it the same way myself. Thought I’d mention a different way since the assembly is so short; a relatively straight piece of angle (preferably aluminum or stainless) cut to the length required and five or six vice-grip chain clamps. Lay the round tubing on the inside of the angle while placing one of the toes of the angle on your clock marks and clamping the entire assembly in the angle with the chain clamps. Holds assembly straight and in position all at the same time while you get your tacks on it. I realize the slight break in the one piece of tubing does make it a little more complicated. Just a thought🤔.

That’s a good suggestion. I actually mentioned that in another comment when someone made a similar, but different suggestion. I have used this method before and it works well. Sometimes I just hate to cut a piece of angle specifically for a certain project, just to draw a line, although it does work well. Thank you for the suggestion, and thanks for watching!

I think you said in another video you were upgrading audio video equipment and it really shows the picture and sound are great. And your editing is great too. Thanks for sharing.

Finally, some stainless pen holder action... err... I mean, exhaust. Weldmonger is great resource for this beginner. Couple tools you intro's me to is the clamp and centering punch. I like the #16 clear lens. THANK YOU for this one! (especially the bloopers at the end 😀)

I like “Tap magic”. Works really good and has a pleasant smell(IMO). I’ve tried rapid tap, and it works well, but the smoke irritates my throat when it gets hot, which is probably not a good thing. Thanks for watching!

Straight line on round tubing, put it in the vertical edge of the door frame (which creates a "V") and scribe or Sharpie a line down the edge of the frame.
