How they go? Seem to require a lot of root space in pots is what I have seen gonna grow a large indoor above ground pot in my garage this winter to keep my soil alive and pickle a bunch of them for snacks helps in the white cold months too to see some green and flowery life to improve mood makes air feel better to breath too seem to handle 58-65 degrees well all my plants do actually just a lil slower is all slightly harder to sprout stuff unless in worm compost everything sprouts no matter what in there think it’s the microbes and parasympathetic fungus worms don’t smell at all either smells like earth or dirt freshly dug up I like to toss my coffee grounds in they seem to love them ontop of all my dead leaves and old plants that have been cut down and kitchen scrap like to toss in paper too like paper towels and what not good way to keep moisture level good or coco coire is pretty awesome but I only use the stuff that’s been used up rather than wasteing it and spending money grocery store lettuce goes bad quick too so I’ll throw that in there generally as well ground eggshells when I feel like putting in time is good calcium source and grit for worms cacoons can be sifted and sold for a pretty penny or used in garden and castings make great mix in for shitty soil like sand to make it worth growing in

I grow the green variety. I eat it cooked because it’s not as spicy.

When is the best time to grow these? Lot of videos showing them but no one has any growing information.

Hey there! Radishes grow best in the early Spring or Fall. They prefer the cooler temperatures. Hope that helps!

I have some 2-3 inch seedlings(planted march 21st) of dragons tail radish hanging out out my balconey right now. I'm looking for containers to transplant them into and would appreciate suggestions or an estimate of how wide and deep the roots grow. I grabbed the seed packet by mistake and figured heck why not try growing them in a container and use the railing and some elastic as support if they make it that far! 😂
I'm in USDA zone 8 so a bit hot for this plant and from what I've read the seed pods develop a spicier taste if they are grown in higher heat. Even the sprouts have a bit more kick to them than other raddish greens.

Hello! The roots don't seem to be super deep. I think a large flower pot should work just fine! Let me know how it goes!

Is it a perennial? Zone 7b

Hello! It would be grown as an annual in Zone 7b. You'll get some pretty flowers, then som long seed pods you can harvest. Then the plant is pretty much done at that point.
