[Intro: Duran Duran]
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Pressure off, pressure off, pressure pressure pressure off
[Verse 1: Duran Duran]
Past is another country
The present will never last
The future, it's still tomorrow
Are we living too fast?
[Pre-Chorus: Duran Duran]
Searchlight the crowd, I'm fixed on your face
I know it well, but it's a dream I can't place
Something is happening to me
Maybe it's happening to you, you, you, you
Everybody everywhere, feel it in the air
Oh yeah, it's time to take the pressure off
Everybody everywhere, step out into the future
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Steppin'
Steppin'
Steppin'
It's time to take the pressure off
Swimming with the rat race
Or running against the tide
It's everybody's business when there's nowhere to hide
Searchlight the crowd, I'm fixed onto you
There's a way out of this into the blue
Something is happening to me
Maybe it's happening to you, you, you, you
Everybody everywhere, feel it in the air
Oh yeah (oh yeah), it's time to take the pressure off
Everybody everywhere, step out into the future
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Steppin' out, steppin' out, steppin' out, and jumpin' up and
Pressure off, pressure off, pressure pressure pressure off
I'm lost, don't wanna be found
I'm up and not gonna be down
Outside looking in on myself
Just me, I couldn't be anyone else
Is it bad when you're feeling this good?
Are we all misunderstood?
It's fine, going out of my mind
Going out of my mind, going out of my mind
Everybody everywhere (yeah), feel it in the air (whoo!)
Oh yeah (oh yeah), it's time to take the pressure off
Everybody everywhere, step out into the future
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
It's up to you now
It's time to take the pressure off
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
It's up to you now
Step out into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Jump up into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Step out into the future
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
Jump up into the future

Step out into the future - Hudba
Duran Duran is, HANDS-DOWN, the most amazing and beautiful group of blokes that exists!!!!! Dear Lord!!!!
Siiiiii
Siempre viva INGLATERRA!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Among many other things, one of the hallmarks of why Duran Duran has lasted 40 years plus and even their most banal pop songs composed have stood the
test of time, is this incredible knack for writing killer/incredibly catchy/soaring choruses in all their songs. This is another example..
This song proves that Duran Duran is still in great shape and matures like wine ;-)
As I often said in the tradition of the best British bands Duran Duran got better with age.
Yep
true! :)
In short: the shape of the grape! : )
Yep. How many 50 plus guys do you know who can get a groove on while also doing high kicks? (besides David Lee Roth from Van Halen - the only other person on this planet that I know of who can still do a few high kicks)
Once again proof of how great Duran Duran is. Of course it's a shame without Andy,
but with Nile R. on guitar and Janelle on backing voice.
Thank you Duran Duran.
Nick is STILL serving those fashion forward looks and Simon is looking like a WHOLE MEAL out here!! They have aged well and are STILL coming with the hits.
Like fine wine 🍷
Simon has lost a bit of weight. Maybe he needs a whole meal or two. :)
Started listening to them at 13. Now at 53, 40 years later, still love them!
That’s rock n roll gold
This legitimately made me smile. I love Duran Duran, and it's nice to see them collaborating with the phenomenal Janelle Monae and legendary Niles Rodgers
Every little thing that Rodgers touches turns into gold. The boys are great, as usual, but this man is something else. One of the best producers on earth, period.
Seriously. Also, I find it so touching that Nile refers to Dd as his "brothers" and as his "second band" :D
I attended an amazing CHIC concert a ew months back, and Nile greatly impressed me by being the last to leave the stage, signing as many autographs and shaking as many fans' hands as possible = pure class!
Totally agree-NR basically has done my lifes songbook.
I love the end with Roger smile!
+karina gatto It is one of my fave parts , they all look so happy in this vid, and looked like they had fun making it, but Roger looks so lovely at the end :)
+karina gatto me too... roger looks so cute... love this video...
Yes, Roger has a Gorgeous Smile!
+karina gatto Roger Federer even could be his son... in a parallel universe
+karina gatto Thats my favorite part. He was my fav since I was 12. He still looks as great as ever! Best band in the world!!!!
The charisma of these men is insane.
Si si ,,la verdad es de otra dimensión!!!!!!
Great song! John saying "F You" at the very beginning to someone off camera is the best part of this video. LOL
katanared yes!!! 😆😍🔥
What I wanna know is WHO is he saying it too, 😂
@@alexisdowers2030 That's not what he's saying.
katanared that was funny!
PI8OUOLiiiiiiiiiiiii klopp I'll il⁰iui I'll iio
What's so wonderful about them is that within the composition, you could recognize each member's signature sound or voice. Total pop art.
never in my entire life did i think i would ever see Nick Rhodes perform anything remotely athletic in a DD video.
Shocked me too! He might smudge his make up, break a nail or break out in a sweat doing that. I have never seen someone never sweat like he does. It's like his artsy self wills it away! LOL! But I still love him just as he is! He is one of a kind.
+Tad Saine but... but.... he RODE AN ELEPHANT! LOL
+Tad Saine He runs pretty fast (albeit in slow motion) in "The Flame" video (Arcadia).
Omg, I was thinking the exact same thing; had to do a serious double take:)
+Katrina M maybe it's a stunt double. LOL!
200am can't sleep ha! Just discovered this little gem from our british lads. how did IKN this song!
And NIle Rodgers and Duran Duran , ONE OF THE FUNKIEST, BADASS PAIRINGS EVER....
Janelle' Monae voice, a great BADASS SINGER
ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME GIVE NILE ROGERS A LIFEIME INDUCTION FOR ALL HIS CONTRIBUTIONS AND FLAVORS, AND STYLES OF MUSIC THROUGH THE YESRS....HE DESERVES IT!!
Thank you Duran Duran. Since 1984, at 14, watching The Reflex video, I was an instant fan. All these years later, I still enjoy your music. The older songs and the new. Pressure Off makes me happy. It's a fun song with a great beat. I'll be a fan for life.
While this song is only 2015, it sounds very 80s doesn't it?
Guaoooooooo bello ooooooo 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌👌😘😘😘😘
We're the same age... and I feel you, bro!
You've gotta love how Simon maintains the cool face while leaping (1:17). The man's a pro.
And winking at the girls 1:37 without missing a beat. Too cool.
As you said but also a very experienced poseur.
Don't get me wrong.I love them!!!
Janelle Monae is such a diverse artist. She's always doing new things. And how can one deny Duran Duran?
+OptimistHunter Reel Duran Duran doesn´t need such a collaboration like this, never did before, why now? I think is a different class of artists, new generation vs 80´s classics, personally I don´t like this...
Roger Suarez Well, thank you for your unsolicited opinion.
Soy optimista, y el que te tomes el tiempo de responderme me alegra el día...
Roger Suarez Why do people like you do this lol? Hiding behind another language, instead of just replying the way you did before. Cowardly.
+Roger Suarez It's fairly commonplace for musical artists to collaborate on a song here and there. It doesn't mean they'll be singing with her all the time.
People expect Duran Duran to still sound like the 80s?? It's 2016. They have moved on and grown. And by the way they never went away. They never stopped making albums
I agree with you
Well,,,, Andy did :( Maybe he'll come back...
The chances of Andy coming back are nil. Dom is doing just fine with them.
I totally agree
+Lisa Barber not gonna lie...Dom is my favorite Duran guitarist ❤️
only the true musicians understand what I mean when I proclaim that Duran Duran is, in and of itself, what could be defined as a living work of art xoxoxo
Absolutely
Duran Duran in an interview in late 90s have said that will be singing for a long time. They kept their Word.
DEAR GOD THERE IS NO WAY THIS COULD BE ANY BETTER, OR THEY COULD BE MORE BEAUTIFUL. I CAN'T EVEN
I was at my sink doing the dishes this morning and started going..."oh, oh .oh...." this song really sticks in your head. I love it.
Ya know, I’m standing here at my sink as well dancing doing dishes on Sunday morning and I go to replay the video and saw your comment and laughed! I thought I was the only one scrubbing the sink going “oh oh oh oh oh..oh oh oh oh”😉
That's because it's from the their bestest album 😁
LOVE Pressure Off!!!!!!!!!
@@Lisarenee2 Haha...great minds think alike!!
Three of my favourite acts of all time wrapped into one: Duran Duran, Nile Rodgers, and Janelle Monae
So underrated! Still listening in 2022! Chime in if you still are! One of D&D's best ever!!
Yes, Man!!!
2023
Still listening to Arena since 84 🎶 😎👍
Probably their best video in the past ten years.
TOTAL Agreement! Their best in the last decade. I think it needed some kind of Reflex Remix for the gen public to jump on board but I thought it was great.
One Of The Most GROOVY & Criminally Underrated Tunages...EVER....
I'm 42 and feel like I'm still growing up with these guys! This album and song is infectious!
Depeche mode
marco masala k
Simon's smile though.... it makes my heart melt!
When you think about it, he's had an absolutely charmed life, but he seems *grateful* for it and always happy - very sweet to see!
4 decades and still ❤ Simon...awesome music ...forever
Great album!!! Amazing Band!!! DURAN DURAN ..... 35 years with you, guys!!
Yeahhh 37)))
che dirti cara , io lo stesso. spero tu stia bene. viva i durans forever.
Roger finally smiling at the end
What an amazing 2015 achievement for a band formed in 1978
Literally just found this. How did this not get more popular???
Same here
It happens a lot with bands that were big a while back. They keep bringing out new music that is still really good, but doesn't get the attention from radio stations. And your average music listener doesn't particularly care about anything that's not played 20 times a day on commercial radio (or these days on the main spotify streams).
It charted in the USA, getting on the Hot 100 from Billboard reaching #33 on 10.9.2015 - their first top 40 hit since "Sunrise" in 2004. It was all over the radio that year at least in America.
@@Buc_Stops_Here I'm glad it got some airplay in USA. I never heard it played on the radio in Australia even though Duran Duran songs were a staple of Australian radio in the 80s. In fact their 80s hits still get a lot of play on radion. Radio stations just don't seem interested in playing anything they released since then.
Most people here probably don't even realise they've release anything since the 80s despite how good their recent albums have been.
@@soneil12 Sorry to hear that. I heard it on the radio a lot in the USA back then. Was a pleasant surprise that the primarily 1980s and early 1990s band with a huge hit in 2015. Except for Sunrise in 2004 when they reformed with the original lineup, they had not been on the radio even in the USA for 11 years.
What I love is that when people called them an 80s band and used phrases like riding a nostalgia or retro wave, they just kept being hip and making great new music. Now you have a whole new Generation of artists from Justin Timberlake to Snoop Dog who all say they love the band and were influenced by them. What I loved most about this CD aside from the great music was they showed the world that they are still as hip, compelling, and innovative as ever and they remain a very talented group of songmakers who create music that has stood the test of time and has appealed to multiple generations. When you see teens now embracing their music it shows that good music knows no decade or era. They are truly one of the best.
+Gareth Von Kallenbach This is clearly sucky
plop plop fiz fiz You are a loser and an asshhole.
Obviously they know what they're doing, but give me o n e thing innovative about this song...
The best way to describe this album is MAGICAL
Great song , deserves to be a huge huge hit. Roger's smile ..❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This song is sooo good!
To be honest Duran Duran does the best music.Long live Duran Duran!❤️❤️
Nile, Duran, and Janelle 🙂🙂🙂
Paper Gods one of their best albums.
Janelle Monae compliments the song very well
@Campbell Koschei You're insane. Her "The ArchAndroid" is one the best of this century. John Taylor said it had the best song of 2010 "Dance or Die".
@Campbell Koschei no you fucking waste of space, she is insanely talented and your broke & busted ass can hear her sing on other videos if you are really bothered by this song but in the meantime- post your song, bitch.
Her hair reminds me of Janet Jackson
Not only is she a good singer but she can act too. She was awesome in Hidden Figures.
Janelle would have been just as amazing as she is now and fitted in perfectly if she were around in the 80s
Loved them back then and love them even more NOW! Coolest band ever!
I agree 💯
I wasn't sure about Duran Duran's new stuff at first, but on the 17th I saw this song performed live and it was incredible! So much better than hearing the studio version. The whole gig had such an amazing energy and I was lucky enough to stand very close to the stage.
Where did you see? Have a vid clip to share??? :)
@@johngray0 Scarborough, England. And yes, I do have videos, but with how close I was to the stage it was so loud that it really messed up the sound quality.
First off, Janelle Monáe is a goddess.
Saw Duran Duran at Life is Beautiful and they sound AH-MAY-ZING live! The entire set was flawless. ♥
My boys, Duran Duran! I will always love these guys!!!
Simon still got it....Matter of fact, Duran Duran is still fresh like fine wine after all these years!!!
This should be a party anthem in the same escale that Uptown Funk. Impossible not get up and dance while listening!
Escale?
If you worked at Walgreens you wouldn't think this is an awesome song, you would hate it with all of your being LOL. I hear this song everyday.
@@daveallen3036 come work for Walmart then and you'll hear what crappy music is like... I wish they did this one at work :)
It never became a hit, so that means that the people with a good taste for music have died
@@3DPeter Not really, it had good airplay ended up in tv spots and Paper Gods entered many countries top 10 and 20. Not bad at all.😁
Roger's smile in the last shot makes the video.
he's a sweetheart
I agree
@Campbell Koschei Take your medicine Campbell.
I love simon when he looks away with that expression in his eyes lol like what! Crazy lol
This is the reason why I bought Paper Gods a few weeks back. I love this sound and this song doesn't leave your mind.
John looking good as always, so does Nick. His face sometimes scared me, 'cuz his serious look. And ofcourse Simon and Rodger, love those guys way more now than I did before. John and Nick will be my favorite members forever
Nick and his serious face! LOL That cracks me up and i'm still trying to figure out what he so angry about cos he looks mean! LOL And we ALL know Nick is not mean.
Someone talk about the absolute Bass King, John Taylor!!! Oh. My. Gawd. His bass is the stuff of dreams ❤
The best 80's band bar none. 😊 hope to see them live before they retire from the music scene okay. Let the cool Vibe remind us of the good times...!
Idk how I only just now found this song???? I'm five years late but god damn this is delightful
AWESOME!!!!! Duran Duran has always been such a tremendously talented Band from the very beginning! Great song and album!!!! Glad to see They are working with Niles again!!! Very cool!!
The best band in The World. And love Roger's smile at the end, lovely x
This heaven..diamonds...gold! Can't stop listening to this song.
I was at the opening night of their North American tour in Durham, NC and they were FUCKING AMAZING!!! This was my third time seeing them and they have lost ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Great sound, visuals, and the audience was super hyped. The new album has been playing constantly in my car. Excellent band!
Durham!!!
You said it! Just saw the Duran boys in concert last night in Seattle and man, they were amazing! Have not seen them since I was a teenager in 1984 and you are right, they are still kicking it! Fantastic show!
KidPersepolis Word!
I've seen them twice. Last time they played White Lines, that was amazing. I missed this recent tour though. Next time...
Same here. I saw them at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago for the "Big Thing" tour, and they were incredible.
This is how you do pop music.
+Curtis Harvey amen
This is how you do shitty music
right! and it sounds great
Count Yogurt they are not in it for the Numbers people did like it
Me pongo esta canción cuando tengo mucho estrés y me ayuda a soltar tensión y cuando estoy depre,me pongo la de"Sunrise" y me da subidón energético.Son mis terapeutas 🤣.Los amo desde que tenía 12años❤️
masters of optimism
I live for the bass line of the chorus. OMG!!! It's so amazing!!!!! John's always been my fav bassist, he's the best
What in the heck is Simon doing these days?? He looks better than ever and its not just on camera either. I saw their recent show at the Hollywood Bowl and he looks AMAZING! Just as sexy if not more so than in the 80's .I love him and Duran Duran forever and ever amen ❤️
duran duran back to there best !
+Kyach Distent simon looks so sexy ,to me he is always looked so gorgeous have fancied that man since I was 13 years old i am now 45 i think I always we'll. le bon girl 71 xx
+Stephen Smith Yes and best of all, he must be an abolsute dream to live with. He and his hot wife are still crazy about each other-and you can tell it's not for appearances either. He-unlike most celebs is STILL on his first marriage and it still works and that's down to the two of them. To have Si as your dad too. How cool. Rather have him as my husband though. He can be my bitch and I'll be his. In the nicest possible way. Grroowwlll! It's men like him that make one thing: "Got it, peeps, I've just remembered why I'm not straight" OR "just remembered why sexuality doesn't matter!"
+Kyach Distent I've been a Duranie since '82 when I fell in love with them at first sight after seeing the video for Hungry Like the Wolf on MTV. As such, I've gotten used to seeing them slagged by the press. And what is the reason??? It's because their prime audience started as teenaged girls and because of their unapologetic love of style and glamour. The slagging continues into the present day with so called journalists having the gall to refer to them as a "boy band". Seriously...wtf? At any rate, as they say- living well is the best revenge and Duran Duran are doing just that and I love them for it! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes and I love the fact they just defy the bastards by still being here, selling loads and getting out new music. You get the feeling these cocksuckers are so inbred in their misery they couldn't even admit to loving some of what they do if they tried-or they'd keep it secret. Yet look at all the shit around for the past 20 years or more-when does THAT get critcisied?! Pathetic. But good for you and me and all the others that love them. May we all continue.
Heaven in the 80s…. And EVEN BETTER now!!!! Dear Lord help me!!!
Look at what John Taylor mouths in the first few seconds. Classic Duran Duran shenanigans.
Lol!!! I thought I was the only one who noticed. 😂
Simon was always my fav. Dang he looks better now then in the 80s.
Cheryl Toland love to be back in the 80s .I'd be wearing white shoes have blonde streaks and eyeliner for a straight guy I had effeminate side to me .But that was the fun of the era
I’m a straight woman and Simon is my favourite too. I think he was (and still is) simply beautiful 😍
ha ha, I think that is because we have aged as well. He IS hot!
I'm fascinated by how great Simon looks : ).
*****
Cute.
lesyayandfilksongs He gets hotter as time rolls on-hear he has great D! as well.
after all these years...he still pulls it off
Hell, I‘m a middle-aged heterosexual guy and I think, „These guys in their mid-to-late 50s are kinda sexy”. Nothing you can do about it.
Simon is still HOT!
1st single I bought was Planet Earth. THE greatest band ever. The songs, the sonics, the playing, the look, the feels...No one ever made transcendant, euphoric/melancholic pop like this.
Please, please, tell me now: how are these guys NOT in the Rock Hall? It's almost insulting for them to be overlooked for this long!! 😡
I'm afraid I don't know. There's something wrong with the persons who make the choice.
l know right.
They'll be inducted right after Jethro Tull is inducted.
and one year later... :D
Mission Accomplished!🥳

+Cynthia Hughes Simon John Charles Lebon. ;) haha
Everybody everywhere, feel it in the air
Rarely do I like collaborative ventures like this. But Janelle Monae is not only stunningly beautiful , she also slots so well with Duran Duran. They need to get themselves together, get an album together and maybe even tour together.
Rog’s smile...such a precious one

Nick is badass. Unity
Duran Duran's awesome they're very time-tested but Nick needs to drop the eyeliner now.

Che brutto mondo sarebbe senza i DURAN DURAN... GRAZIE DI ESISTERE RAGAZZI!!! ❤❤❤❤
Proprio oggi mi son sentito a pala il nuovo disco Dance macabre..Non ti dico la gioa che mi hanno dato. Sono ancora sotto adrenalina👍👍👍
I was introduced to this song when I saw them in concert in Atlanta 2 weeks ago. WOW...what a great song!!! The larger point though....after 40 years...they haven't skipped a beat!!! That not only makes me smile but its uplifting to the soul of a 50 year old Duran Duran fan. Thank you so much DD from all your fans!!
This sounds like old Duran Duran. They always do such good songs working with Nile Rodgers!
Nile great that girl singer? Kills it 🤮
You’re joking right?
Nile Rogers was the guest speaker at the Berkelee college of music in Boston in 1985.... He had just won points on David Bowie's let's dance album... Nice!
Glad like a marriage that all look into the best interest to "stay together and create awesome music together"! DD has a wonderful, creative, and respectful relationship. Listening since 82.

He's a freaking living genius/legend - and he seems like such a genuinely, humble nice guy, too!
I love how he says he thinks of Duran Duran as his 2nd band
I highly recommend reading his autobiography, it's very well written and funny as well as interesting for music fans :)
It's time to release another album now..... ;) Love this style of music. Glad they're keeping that 80's vibe still going.
‘Could’ be their best song and that’s saying something
Great album!!Duran Duran was and still IS the greatest band!
"Simon, You've Got A Lot To Answer For"... ;)
(SERIOUSLY: I just LOVE how much this simple video reminds me of 90s INXS. SO sharp, so class, so much FUN!)
Everything Nile Rodgers touches turns to gold. ✨
respect to Duran Duran for still aspiring to make music on a pop level even though they're not having hits anymore. that's love of craft. warms my heart ❤
In all honestly they probably don’t care about them being hits.. I guess they are just having fun and doing what they love, they have a solid base of fans who appreciate the new material
@@Phil_Mycock_69 oh of course they don't care. but this is still a pop song. and Janelle Monae is a timely big name who's very talented, and Duran Duran surely recognized that when electing to collab w her. thats what I mean by "on a pop level".
Great pop song. You can never write them off. They keep finding those killer hooks.
Just back from Duran Duran concert...Excellent!!
Cool seeing DD working with Nile Rogers again. This song is addictive!! The guys could always come with great songs
I Love Duran Duran Today and will Forever ! 💖💓💯💥
So funky. Another amazing DD track, there are so many
