Lyrics:
You've gone too far this time
And I'm dancing on the valentine
I tell you somebody's fooling around
With my chances on the danger line
I'll cross that bridge when I find it
Another day
To make my stand, oh oh
High time is no time for deciding
If I should find a helping hand, oh oh
Why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it?
Buy time don't lose it
Why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it?
Buy time don't lose it
The reflex is a lonely child
Who's waiting by the park
The reflex is a door to finding
Treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover
Isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does
Leaves you answered with a question mark
I'm on a ride and I want to get off
But they won't slow down the round-about
I sold the radio and TV set
Don't want to be around when this gets out
So why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it?
Buy time don't lose it
Why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it?
Buy time don't lose it
The reflex is a lonely child
Who's waiting in the park
The reflex is a door to finding
Treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover
Isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does
Leaves you answered with a question mark
So why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it?
Buy time don't loose it
Why don't you use it?
Try not to bruise it?
Buy time don't lose it
The reflex is a lonely child
Who's waiting by the park
The reflex is a door to finding
Treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover
Isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does
Leaves you answered with a question mark
Oh the reflex what a game
He's hiding all the cards
The reflex is in charge of finding
Treasure in the dark
And watching over lucky clover
Isn't that bizarre
Every little thing the reflex does - Hudba

This was a golden time period. It will never be like this again.
Miss the days when we didn't have the internet. You had to squirm in anticipation of buying a concert ticket, and enjoying the concert without hooligans shooting it up.
The internet has ruined certain sacred things IMO, but is good at certain others - so a love / hate relationship.
Happy 40 years 1984-2024, The Reflex- Duran Duran 👏👏👏👏🎂🎂, from CHILE.

Ahhh... the 1980's!!
A great era to be alive!
Duran Duran was one of the giants who defined this incredible decade!
Their look and videos actually created part of the 80's image. Early Eighties new romantic scene to be exact.

Musically speaking this is considered a masterpiece.
Why is it that once you start listening to these fire 80's hits, you end up binging on all 80's music for hours on CZcams? Nothing and I mean straight up nothing will ever dominate the music, culture and fads of the 80's! So blessed to have lived and experienced the enlightening 80's. This 54 year old will always be an 80's child!

I ask myself this question everyday
Hi I recommend a song that's called 'The bond Villain' By Robert Nix
Why? Because the 80s were awesome
I was at this concert, this was filmed in Toronto in 1984😊
40 years ago the 'Seven and the ragged tiger 'tour ended on April 15th and 'The reflex' was set to be a BIG hit in the USA! Like HUGE! - This song was so heavily requested on radio stations in the US at this time and throughout the summer of 1984.
No decade will ever top the 80's!!!
Yes! It was the best time to be a teenager in my opinion. No cell phones. No internet. No social media. You had to actually make friends and spend time with them if you wanted to keep them. No way would I trade places with the teens today. They can keep their nonsense as far as I'm concerned.

I have this taped from the radio when it was number one and it goes "Number ONE". I am like a ghost of myself from those days.
@@imogenjennings3992 I lived through the 1980s as I was born in September 1966 and it was really great time for music. At least up until early 1988. Because in 1988 the boy band era started with groups like Bros and New kids on the block and rap, hip hop and rave/acid house dominated the charts. But between 1980 and the end of 1987 the music really rocked!
"Purple Rain" by Prince and the Revolution spent 24 consecutive weeks at Number One. "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" spent TWO weeks at Number One, in America according to Billboard 100 in 1984. "Seven and the Ragged Tiger" went double platinum while "Purple Rain" sold more than 17 million. WHAM's "Make It Big" sold six times platinum, also released in 1984. I don't think Duran Duran dominated 1984 by a long shot. A great year nonetheless.
This video is the most 80's thing ever.

I'm a metalhead for most of my life but I will forever love 80s music that I grew up on. I was showing my 9 year old daughter this at breakfast and explaining just how big of a band DD was and that before CZcams, you sat and waited with a tape recorder by the radio for the song to come on or in front of the TV just waiting for the videos. It almost seems unfathomable how we did it because we live in such an instant gratification society but I think that it taught us discipline and appreciation for things for sure.
I remember it like it was yesterday. These guys are actually an incredibly talented band too. John Taylor is a sick bassist.
@Cj Johnson yes!
Me too man. Metal and hip hop. But if it’s got a good bassline, I’m in. And these guys and others from this decade had that in droves. I also totally agree with what you said about instant gratification. I remember there was some George Michael video in the very early 90’s. Tyra Banks was in it, walking down a catwalk runway, nipple tassels on. We thought she was the hottest thing on the planet. So we sat around for like another 5 hours until the video came on again. We were like 10. 🤣 Lots of crap music in that span of time. But because of that day, I ended up going out and buying Check Your Head with my allowance money.
I'm also a metalhead, probably because of DD. Before, I couldn't recognize different instruments in a song. I learned to differentiate by listening to a lot of DD, and especially discovering the bass was like a revelation. And the next step was metal naturally, as my ears were trained for it thanks to DD. Also I became a bassist later on thanks to John Taylor, and still to this day his bass lines amaze me.
I'm a metal listener too and I love Duran Duran as well.
Metal fan here also but can't help but appreciate the talent these guys had. John Taylor's bass work is excellent.

I grew up not being allowed to listen to secular music, so I'd never heard anything quite like this. The music was WOW, and they were the most beautiful people I'd ever seen at that point in time. I've been a fan ever since. I recently came across my old Notorious CD and have spent the last several days listening to and watching everything I can find online. Such good memories, such great music. Thanks.
