she has big-time star power! The type of personality and performer that brings in new fans to the sport. (That is what happened with me! :D I am American, but no, Shiffrin did not entice me into loving the sport of World Cup skiing; it was Tina Maze firstly, and Petra Vlhova Secondarily).(Also a huge fan of Katharina Liensberger (hope I spelled that right :/ She is SOOOOOOO friekin adorable and awesome. So easy to root for her).

That substractions and additions of points showed how much less/more points she had that skier in front/behind her. And she named her big globus Aleksander Veliki :)

still the record holds. Shiffrin avoids almost all of the DH races for a reason. it's physically very demanding to race all races of the WC (DH's have official trainings too and it's almost as demanding as the race) and it would have likely affected her performance in other disciplines
